Kuroo's POV

"We're gonna kick them in the butt!" A member yelled, earning a fee chuckles from the other members in the bus.

Meanwhile, Y/n was sleeping soundly beside me, her head leaning so softly against my shoulder as she let out soft breathes. We were half an hour away from miyagi, and my shoulder was already sore and numb because Y/n was leaning against it most of the ride, I didn't care though, I'd rather have my shoulder not feel anything than move her peacefully sleeping figure.

"Kuroo-san!" Daiki yells, too loud for my liking and it cause Y/n to squirm at the noise.

I glared at the president of our club.

"Lower your voice down, daiki." I say in a serious voice, daiki rolls his eyes before facing me fully.

"Are you two ready? Did you study well?" He asks, his voice sounding so professional. Daiki wasn't always a 'carefree' jerk, he was also sometimes really serious, and if you ask me he's a good team leader.

He keep his team in high spirits.

"You can count on us." I tell him with a confident smile, daiki scoffs before looking away. Daiki then starts to have a conversation with the vice president.

Me and Y/n are an expert with debating, because before we even became friends, we always defend our answers between each other, it was annoying to see her win sometimes but now that I look at the situation in my state right now, I think it's safe to say that I'd let her win.

Because letting her win was much more easier rather than losing her.

I looked over to her, this wasn't my first time having her so close to me, it never fails to make my heart beat fasten as my eyes felt like they never wanted to look away, how can daichi hurt her?

After an hour passed we finally arrived at our destination, the bus slowly stopped and by this time Y/n had already been awake.

She rubs her eyes before releasing a yawn as she looks through the window.

"This is my first time being out of Tokyo." She tells me with a small smile as she admired the outside of the bus.

"Let's go out then, so you can have a better look." I announced to her, before beginning to grab her and my things in my hand as I went out of the bus with her following.

"I can carry my things you know." She says with a slightly serious tone.

I only shake my head, sighing the fresh air as soon as my feet touched the ryokan or inn we were staying at, "No thank you," I only replied which earned a scoff from the female.

She stops her tracks when she had took a sight of the ryokan in front of us.

"We're staying here?" She asks with excitement in her tone.

"Yeah." I replied as I turned my head to look at her.

Her side profile was breath taking, her smile was the cherry on top as she looks at the ryokan just like a toddler getting their favorite toy.

"This is cozy, I never stayed in a ryokan before." She says before turning to me with the same excited smile on her face.

Before I can reply her stupid phone had to go off, she excuses herself before walking away while taking out her phone and placing it against her ear. I only sighed, probably thinking that it was daichi.

"Kuroo! Aren't you going to go in?" Daiki yells at me at the entrance of the ryokan.

"We'll be there in a second." I replied which daiki nodded to as the club went in except for Y/n and I.

And speaking of Y/n, she had walked up to me not long after her call.

"I told daichi that I'm here." She says as she looks down, "And I told him about the ryokan we are staying at, he told me that he knows about the place and that there was a convenience store near by that he could probably meet me on."

She tells me without a single pause, why did I need to know this? It was heart breaking but I kinda felt like it okay since maybe just maybe her and daichi can go back to the way they were.

Even though it f*cking hurts so bad.

"Sure, I'll handle your things." I said with a forced smile.

"You aren't gonna come with me?" She asks with a small voice as she looks up at me with furrowed eyebrows.

How can I say no to you?

"Do you want me to?" I asked back.

"Obviously, that's why I asked." She says with a sharp tone before rolling her eyes.

I scoffed jokingly before playfully walking away from her.

"You could've been more nicer." I said as my back was facing her.

"Hey I was joking!"

Y/n's POV

"Y/n!" The voice I never thought I had my heart breaking to call my name out happily.

I turned around, meeting with a daichi jogging his way towards me with an excited smile on his face, something tells me that it was forced but it probably wasn't.

"You never told me you were coming." He says, the smile wasn't disappearing, I knew it was going to disappear after I tell him about what I discovered about him.

Soon after the door of the conveniences tore opened, making both daichi and I's head turn to the person, which turned out to be kuroo who excused himself from me because he wanted to buy a couple of snacks before the debate tomorrow.

"What is he doing here?" Daichi asks, the sweet and excited tone was now long gone as he continues to stare at kuroo.

Kuroo on the other hand was staring intensely at daichi too, the plastic bag that he was holding was now tightly gripped by his fist as his cat like eyes pierced into daichi.

The tension was very suffocating.

"Diechi."

"Tetsuroll."

They both said those very childish nicknames in union, kuroo clicks his tongue and was about to say something but I stopped him by walking to him with a frown on my face.

"Can you wait for me?" I asked him, kuroo looks at me and his expression softens a little bit as he nods his head.

"I'll wait inside." He says before going back inside, not when he gave daichi a death glare.

I heard daichi scoffing at what just happened, I slowly turned my body to him, I saw him kissing his teeth while clenching his jaw as he looks at me with serious eyes.

"Why are you always with him?" He asks with a slightly demanding tone.

"I didn't want to come alone, okay." I explained my reason to my so called boyfriend.

He shakes his head before beginning to approach me, he suddenly brought bought his hands around me as he brought me in a not so tight hug, but it involved with daichi snuggling his nose in my hair.

"I missed you." He says so softly, I was almost fooled about it, rethinking that I should not mention it but I needed to.

I let him be, not even bothering to reply with his words as I just let him be.

"I'm kind of worried having kuroo around you." He says with a low chuckle at the end, "It would be nice if you stay awa—

—What about yui?" I finally let out, I can feel him tensing around me.

I broke the hug, brining my arms to fold in front of my face as I sternly looked at him as he stood there unable to do anything than just look at me with slightly wide eyes.

"W—What are you talking about?" He asks in a frail voice.

"The day when you called me when I was sick." I started to say, feeling the large lump forming in my throat as I began to feel my tears as I recall the past, "You mentioned her name while planning your future with her."

I was in the verge of crying but I managed to stop myself as I kept a blank face at a stunned and shocked daichi in front of me.

"Sweat heart, I would never— ever do that." He says as he began to slowly walk up to me with a frown on his face.

I slowly did the opposite of what he was doing and that was backing away. He immediately stops after he noticed my action, earning for him to widen his eyes more.

"You're lying to me." I said, my voice was low and very quiet but he heard it.

The cloud had already turned gray, warning the people that it was almost about to rain but it wasn't.

Daichi gulps before looking away in shame, I thought he would stop there and just admit everything. But he only exhaled a deep breath before looking at me again.

"Me and yui had been hanging out lately because her mother got back from osaka, it turns out that my mom and hers are best friends." He explains, his eyes telling me that he was telling the truth, "I promise you, you're the only woman I want in my life."

I don't know what to believe anymore, was he telling the truth? I want to believe him, I wanted to just end this painful situation and get comfortable in his arms as we shared a laugh together when we were at summer camp.

I miss those days, I miss us.

"Are you not lying?" I asked once again.

He nods, his expression says it all. He was scared.

I sighed, not being able to bare with this kind of daichi no more as I pushed all of my feelings away and walked up to him and brining him in my arms, he sighs as he brings me more tightly against his chest as he inhaled my scent.

"I love you."

He isn't lying... right?
