Kuroo's POV

"You're grandparents and I are stuck here in the city, it's raining like cats and dogs so I'm guessing we wouldn't come home soon." My dad yells in the other line as the sound of rain falling down and hitting on it's surface was heard.

"Sure dad, be careful." I replied back, I heard him say good bye one last time before hanging up.

I sighed, tossing my phone across from my bed as I sat up and turned my head to look at the window beside my bed, water droplets can be seen. Really, what's with the weather today?

My grandparents and dad had to go in the city to buy a couple of things and I told them I would stay back home since I wasn't really in the mood to go out. I really just wanted to rest til the weekend comes by like a flash.

*knock* *knock*

The loud knocking or more like banging on my front door snapped me out from my thoughts, hurriedly standing up from my bed. Who could possibly knock on our door in this kind of weather?

"Kuroo open the door now!" I heard kenma yell making me fasten my movement on running than it already was.

Kenma? What's he doing here? To be honset I'm usually the one who comes to his house to drowning him on my volleyball fever when I was young, now that he was here and plus that it was raining heavily was a change.

"I'm coming, I'm coming." I replied back calmly before finally facing the front door and opening it wide.

Wide enough for me to see kenma hugging his arms around... Y/n, who was looking down on the ground, I can tell by her skin that she was shivering, and by looking at her clothes I assumes she must've somehow took a shower under the rain.

I was stunned, with slightly wide eyes I began to worry. Why was she so drenched? Why is she here?

"W... What are yo—

—I'll explain later, just warm her up will you? She's freezing." Kenma says, the tone he had was filled with worry.

I let them inside my residence, walking out as I went back to my room before grabbing a pair of pillow and blankets and my favorite toy plushie that was a little dolphin, I really don't know why I brought it with me tbh.

Walking back downstairs I was met by kenma slowly sitting Y/n on the couch, Y/n's expression couldn't be read other than she was lost.

What are they even doing here? Why is Y/n so drenched? Why does she look miserable? All of these thoughts flowing around my mind without answers. Why was she even here? Did she need anything?

Walking up to the both of them I placed the sheets and pillow beside her.

"She should change into new clothes first." I suggested before taking time to scan her.

She was just looking down on the ground sniffing as if she was just done crying. Was this something to do with daichi? If it is I'll crush him, looking at Y/n now was all I worry about.

"You do it." Kenma immediately passes the responsibility to me.

"Why me?" I asked him.

"You're much more close to her." He uses a stupid bullcrap of an Excuse.

I sighed before turning to Y/n.

"Let's get you upstairs Y/n, I'll prepare some clothes for you to change on." I suggested, she just nods her head slowly before standing up.

Almost tripping over her own feet I managed to caught her, wrapping my arms around her for support as we now continued to head upstairs to my room.

"Prepare some hot chocolate will you?" I tell kenma.

He nods in reply before going inside the kitchen, I focused my attention back to Y/n again. Looking down on her pretty face she had a slight pout on her lips, fresh trails of wet tears can be seen even though she was definitely showering under the rain.

We were now walking up the stairs when she says in a tremble voice, "Thank you k... kuroo."

My heart clenched at her tone, it was small, it was so fragile that one bad word can be said then it will break, not to mention the crack on her voice when she basically forces herself to talk.

"It's okay, just rest up okay?" I tell her, I didn't bother to question what was happening because if you ask me, she was the most important thing to be worrying about.

The coldness of her skin was worrying as I hurried her inside my room, not bothering to get flustered to have her in my room.

I shook off the upcoming thought, letting her sit on my bed drenched or not as I walked my way to my closet, opening it as I took out a pair of one of my shirt and shorts.

"What about your underwear?" I asked completely bold of me, that sentence didn't come out of my mouth without me blushing.

"They're fine, I can make them work." She says, which I nodded in reply.

I walked up to her with my clothes ob my hands and I proceeded to hand it to her.

"Here." She gladly accepts the clothes before slowly standing up.

I was taken a back when she suddenly bowed at me.

"Thank you so much, kuroo." She says, standing up straight she finally looked at me in the eyes.

Just now I realized, she really had been crying. Those puffy eyes, red nose was all it took to had me come at a conclusion that she was really crying.

"What happened?" I can't help myself but to ask.

She sobs before looking away.

"D... Daichi, he... he—

She was cut off by a sob.

Daichi... Oh you jerk, I thought you were going to take care of her? Not her showing up drenched and f*cking crying, what did he do this time? Did he cussed the living life out of her? I can't help but to feel my heart clenched and fist tighten at daichi.

"Where did you find her?" I ask kenma who was snuggling on his hoodie with a cup of hot chocolate on his hands.

"At the new restaurant near by." He answers shortly before taking a sip on his cup.

"What was she doing that got her so drenched?" I asked one more time and proceeded to take a sip on my hot chocolate.

"Look, I don't know what happened between them but I just saw her sitting on the chair while it was raining." Kenma says, "I was worried about her, she looked so lost at the time."

Daichi must've really done something bad to have Y/n just sit there in the middle of the rain.

Where was daichi tho? Did he left Y/n alone after a big fight? I really can't get this out of my head.

"Y/n..." I hear kenma mumble her name I looked up at kenma seeing as he was looking at something else.

I looked at what he was looking at, instantly freezing on my spot as I widened my eyes a little bit. I didn't know having Y/n wearing my clothes can have me feeling some type of way, I think it's because of the way my shirt was too big on her and so was my shorts.

It was cute over all.

"Come have a seat." I tell her, she nods slowly before approaching us and taking a seat beside me.

I handed her the sheets I brought earlier, laying it on top of her lap as she mutters a 'thank you' while kenma hands her the hot chocolate.

This feel so wrong to have her wear my clothes like this, but somehow it felt also right.

"Y/n..." Kenma calls out.

Y/n hums in reply as she kept taking a sip on her hot chocolate.

"What happened?" He asks, I thanked kenma for being able to ask that because I can't but I badly wanted to know.

It was silent at first, but I noticed Y/n being comfortable with it, she took the last energy that was left in her to take a deep breath and say, "He planned a date with me at that specific restaurant yesterday."

Yesterday... Yeah I remembered, daichi and her called each other mid session. So they were planning a date.

"I waited, and waited, and waited... But he never showed up." She says bringing up the mug on her lips as she took a sip.

So he forgot about the date? But he was the one who planned it, then why the f*ck did he forgot about the date? Was he stupid or something? Because last time I checked he was supposed to be a gentleman, I just really want the best for Y/n, not this.

"He didn't even check up on me, no calls, no messages, no nothing." She says once more, her voice becoming to turn smaller by the second.

I wanted to call daichi and tell him how messed up he really was, but it was not my fight nor relationship, I should leave it to them to decided what they're going to do, and the only thing that could help me help Y/n was telling her things that will somehow make her feel at ease.

"You could've called him." I tell her.

"I did but he wasn't answering, I tried to message him but I got nothing." She says in a much lower voice.

That bastard, I can't explain how pissed I was. He better has a good explanation on this.

Y/n's phone suddenly began ringing, snapping us all out of our own thoughts, Y/n took her phone out of her bag and looked at it, not doing anything.

I catch a glimpse of the Called ID.

Daichi is calling...

Speak of the devil.

Y/n suddenly handed her phone to me, "I don't want to talk to him."

She says, I sighed. Somehow I felt like I needed daichi how much damaged he had caused and how much he needs to do to retain it.

I stood up form my seat and headed to the kitchen, and clicking 'call back' as I placed the phone on my ear.

"Y/n! I'm sorry I didn't return your calls, I was busy with something." He immediately says first, his tone was happy as if he just didn't forgot about his date with his girlfriend.

"No sh*t." I replied, which earned nothing but silent.

"K... Kuroo? Where's Y/n? Why did you answer it? Isn't it weekend what are you two doing together?" He says, many question left his mouth but only one thing had caught myself to answer.

"Isn't it your date, then why the heck are you not here?" I replied back, the harshness of my tone couldn't be helped.

"Date? What do you m— Oh our date! Holy crap I completely forgot." He says, even having guts to let out a chuckle as if he just told me the funniest joke he ever thought of.

"Do you think this is a joke?" I tell him straight up with a serious voice.

"Why are you so pressed? There's always next time, what are you even doing with her phone?" He asks, his tone tells me that he was smiling.

"Do you wanna know? She showed up on my doorstep drenched, because of the rain, she was crying and can barely let out a single word because of you and you tell me that you find this funny?" I tell him.

"Go f*ck yourself, sawamura."
