I smiled widely as I walked with San, hand in hand as he held Jinyoung and I held an umbrella.

It wasn't pouring rain, but a light sprinkle under the night sky.

Was this really happening? Was I really on a date with my professor?

I was knocked out of my thoughts when I felt him wrap his arm around my waist, protectively before kissing my cheek and I chuckled, smiling widely at him.

"San?"

"Hm?"

"Did you really mean what you said earlier, about transferring somewhere else?"

"I did. Woo, this'll be better for everyone," He said before he stopped walking and made me look at him, "I can still be a teacher. I won't get looked at or touched and I can be with the one I love," He said, putting his hand on the side of my face making me smile widely before he kissed me.

"I love you, Sannie," I said smiling at him.

"I love you too, baby," He said making me smile widely at the nickname.

"You called me, baby," I said smiling as I fiddled with his shirt.

"Mhm. Do you like it when I call you, baby?"

"I love it. Say it again."

"Baby."

"Again."

"Baby."

"Again."

"Baby boy, I'll say it to you all night and everyday."

"Good, because I want you to," I said before kissing him softly and felt him smile against my lips.

"Good, because I'm never stopping," He said smirking as we started walking again and I put my head on his shoulder and felt him kiss my head.

"Hey Woo?"

"Hm?"

"Why don't you...Move your skirts to my place? That way there's no risk of your mom seeing them and you can wear them freely," He said making me look at him and I hummed, thinking for a moment.

"I don't know. Won't they be in the way?"

"Baby, my closet is big and half empty after my wife passed and I moved her clothes to the attic," He said looking at the sidewalk and I hummed before kissing his hand.

"San, if you ever want to talk about it or her, I'm here to listen," I said, making him smile at me and nod.

"Thank you, Woo."

"You're welcome," I said smiling, before kissing his cheek softly, "I'll bring my skirts over tomorrow after Uni."

He nodded smiling before we looked ahead.

"Are you hungry?"

"Mm, I could eat."

"Well then my love, let's get something to eat."

"Where?" I asked with a chuckle, "It's almost eleven at night. Nowhere is open."

"Yes, but there's pop-up bars, food trucks. We could go to the Han River and get ramen. There's also food stands. Whatever you want."

"Hmm, ramen sounds good."

"Han River, it is!" He said making me chuckle and he smiled widely before kissing my cheek.

~

When we got to the Han River, it stopped sprinkling and I was sat at a picnic table with Jinyoung, waiting for San.

"Here you go, beautiful," He said putting a bowl of ramen down in front of me before sitting across from me, "They also had tteokbokki, so I got some for us to share."

"Thank you, baby," I said smiling at him and started eating.

"You're so cute," He said smiling widely at me and I chuckled covering my mouth.

"Stop. I can't eat with you staring at me."

"Well, get over it, cause as long as we're together, my eyes will always be on you," He said smirking at me and I felt my cheeks heat up as I looked away from him.

"Just eat your food, Choi."

"Yes dear."

God, anytime he calls me baby or dear, I just feel my heart pound and my cheeks heat up and my mouth hurts from smiling so much. This just feels so unreal. God, I'm so in love with him!

I watched as he wiped off a rice cake before giving it to me and I raised an eyebrow at him.

"What this for?"

"Jinyoung. Just let her suck on it. It'll give her something to do," He said making me nod and I gave it to her.

"Wooyoung?" I heard someone say and looked behind me to see an old friend from high school.

"Woojin?" I asked standing up with Jinyoung in my arms and smiled at him before hugging him.

"How've you been? It's been a while," He said smiling at me and I nodded.

"It definitely has. I've been good though and you?"

"I've been good, too. But I've missed you," He said making me smile widely.

"I've missed you," I said as we smiled at each other and I heard San clear his throat, "Oh, Woojin. This is my boyfriend, San and his daughter, Jinyoung. San, this is Woojin, my best friend from high school."

"It's nice to meet you," Woojin said smiling at him and he nodded smiling a bit, "Woo, you gotta hang out with Lucas and I sometime."

"You still hangout with him? Is he still a fu- playboy?"

"Yes, but instead of sleeping with girls, he actually sleeps with guys now," He said making me chuckle.

"Really? When did that start?"

"Well, remember that high school party that you weren't allowed to go to?"

"Yeah."

"It happened there. He almost slept with some guy, I can't remember his name, but apparently they kept fighting about who was going to receive it and he just ended up sleeping with some other guy."

"So you two, never..."

"God no!" He said with a laugh, "He's definitely not my type. I'm more into...feminine boys," He said making me chuckle.

"Right, well it was good seeing you again. I'll definitely have to reach out to you," I said before hugging him and he nodded and waved at San who ignored him before he left and I sat down.

"Didn't know that you had a secret admirer in high school," He said making me chuckle as I looked at him.

"What? Woojin? No way! He's my best friend."

"To you, maybe. But I saw the way he was looking at you and he definitely doesn't think of you as a friend."

"And how was he looking at me, San?"

"The same way that I do. Like you're the most perfect boy ever and nothing else matters in the world, but you. Like it doesn't matter who is around, because we're too busy admiring the most beautiful piece of God's art," He said looking at me as he leaned forward a bit.

It felt like the air was sucked out of my lungs and my words got stuck in my throat as I looked at him with wide eyes. Did he really mean that? Was I really the most beautiful piece of God's art? No, definitely not. I...I'm just an awkward young adult, trying to survive like everyone else. There's nothing special about me.

I cleared my throat, looking away from him and at my food. Honestly I didn't know how to respond to that. Nobody has ever said that before about me, I'm not sure what to think.

"Wooyoung?"

"Mhm?"

"You're the most beautiful boy ever," He said making me look at him.

"San...Thank you," I said looking at him as I changed what I was going to say and he nodded smiling widely, "Hey San?"

"Yes, baby?"

"If you had the chance...Would you ever get married again?"

I watched as he looked at his wedding ring and sighed, before looking at me.

"Honestly...No, I wouldn't."

Why did that hurt? Why did I hear my heart shatter into a million pieces?

I hummed with a nod before I looked at Jinyoung in my arms, caressing her cheek with my thumb.

"Well, it's a good thing that gay marriages are illegal here," I said with a dry chuckle and he nodded smiling as he continued eating.

I shouldn't have asked. I just set myself up for disappointment. Why am I even sad about his answer? We can't get married even if we wanted to. Besides it's way too soon to be thinking about that...

~

When I got home, it was quiet, but the lights were still on. Suddenly I heard my dad come out of his office.

"Wooyoung. Come to my office, we need to talk," He said, giving me a serious expression and I nodded before following him and he closed the door behind us.

"Is everything alright?" I asked as he sat down and he sighed before looking at me.

"Your mother went to bed early...She found your skirts."

~To Be Continued~
