It was an awesome morning when i was in my senior year of high school.

I was getting myself ready to school at this point and normally used to leave home approximately at this time.

But today i woke up early as i had to walk all alone to school as my parents were little busy with their work.

My parents were already gone to work so I was home alone. I was putting my shoes on at the door and grabbed my coat as I went downstairs to go out the back door.

On my way to school i had to go through a small forest which had dense woods.

It was early morning so it was still pretty dark sky and the atmosphere was covered with fog.

As I'm putting my coat on and getting ready to step out through the back door, I heard heavy footsteps on the stairs going towards up to the top floor.

The house had hardwood floors, so i could hear every single step out loud and clear.

My first thought was "Oh, my dad must have left his wallet at home or something."
I walked back over to the stairs and yelled up to him of always forgetting something while going out.

I waited for an answer. But i didn't received any reply so i yelled up again,"Dad is it you?". I waited again for a few more seconds, and when I got no reply instead of silence I turned around to the back door.

As I reach for the handle I paused to hear RAPID footsteps coming downwards on the first floor, through the kitchen and into the dining room, stopping at the upstairs back door, RIGHT above me.

Now when I say rapid, I mean crazily fast. That inhuman kind of speed that gives you chills in all the scary movies.

I took my car keys out as i opened the sliding door, quickly stumbled out, and slammed the door shut behind me.

I ran inside my car as quickly as I could, back it up to turn around in the driveway, and face the kitchen window.ย

I stare for just a second or two, and notice one side of the curtains pulled back just a little.

I get a new wave of chills just as I see them thrown back down. Needless to say I got the hell out of there. I've never been so scared in my life.

I did end up calling my dad. He went home and checked the house; nothing was missing, no one in the house, all the doors were locked and secured!!
