It was hard to dislike Aurora.

She had a natural aura around her that made people love her, which was why Xavier wasn't worried about his family not liking her.

But Aurora, on the other hand, was internally freaking out as his car pulled to a stop in front of a gorgeous mansion. Similar to Xavier's house, they had to enter the estate through a gate. Cars were parked along the large driveway that circled around a garden with a fountain.

"Do you think I went a little overboard with the gifts?" Aurora asked, turning to look at the backseat.

It had been a week since their dinner at her parents' house, and today was the day she was going to meet his parents and family. Aurora wondered how Xavier was able to keep his composure last weekend.

She had spent the entire week thinking about what to bring as gifts for the Knights and she ended up gathering quite the collection. The gifts were catered more towards the younger Knights, with a few selections for the older ones. Now that she thought about it, she may have gone a little crazy.

"Of course not, love," Xavier gave her thigh a gentle squeeze. "They are going to love it and most importantly, they are going to love you."

"I hope so," she said worriedly. Xavier stepped out of the car and walked over to the passenger side to open the door for her.

Holding her purse, she stepped out of the car. As she peered up at him, Xavier could see the anxiousness in her eyes and he gave her a quick kiss on the lips.

"Don't overthink this, sweetheart," Xavier caressed her cheek, watching as she nodded with a small pout forming on her lips. "Now, come on. They've been waiting all week to meet you."

She turned to grab the gifts from the backseat with the help of Xavier, of course. If it weren't for him, she would've had to make multiple trips back to the car. She helped him carry some of the gifts as well as their overnight bags in her arms since they were planning to spend the weekend with his family.

Xavier led her towards the front door and was about to open the door when Aurora abruptly stopped him.

"Wait," she grabbed onto his arm, which was filled to max capacity. He turned to look at her with confused eyes. "Do I look okay?"

He chuckled as he looked down at his beautiful girlfriend. "I've been telling you this since we left—you look beautiful, love."

She was wearing a black tank top that was lacy at the top tucked into a pair of high waisted jeans. A large slouchy maroon knitted cardigan made sure she wouldn't be cold and she paired the outfit with black heels.

Xavier had also opted for a casual outfit— a bomber jacket over a simple white t-shirt and a pair of distressed jeans. On his feet were a pair of white shoes. She may have let it slip that she liked guys who looked good in jeans and he made it his mission to wear jeans whenever he wasn't in his business attire.

"You're just obligated to say that because you're my boyfriend," she pouted as he pushed the grand front doors open.

"I only speak the truth," He winked.

Aurora quickly helped Xavier set all the gifts down onto a table in the large foyer, but kept the bouquet of roses in her arms. The house was beautiful with its high ceilings and a grand staircase that led up to the second floor.

"Ma," he called out and suddenly a bunch of footsteps could be heard running towards their direction.

Aurora watched as a petite woman ran in with an older man trailing after her. She had the biggest smile on her face as she engulfed Xavier in a hug and two kisses on the cheek.

"Ma," Xavier chuckled, patting his mother on the back. "We saw each other last week."

"A week is a long time," Isabella said before letting him go. She turned to look at Aurora with a big happy grin on her face.

"And you must be Aurora," she gleamed, before pulling Aurora in for a hug. Aurora chuckled as the overly eager woman fawned over her. "It's so nice to finally meet you. I have heard so many wonderful things about you."

Aurora could feel her cheeks automatically form a smile from the warmth of Isabella's words.

"It's so nice to meet you, Mrs. Knight. Xavier talks about you all the time," Aurora smiled. She handed Isabella the bouquet of roses. "These are for you."

"You're so sweet. These are gorgeous," Isabella gushed. "And please, call me Isabella." She tugged on her husband's hand, beckoning him to step forward. "This is my husband."

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Knight."

Alexander gave her a warm smile. "Please, dear, Alexander is fine."

Aurora could see the resemblance between Xavier and his parents, but really, Xavier looked like the younger version of Alexander. And if Xavier was going to age that fine, she really wasn't one to complain.

One by one, the Knights introduced themselves, and Aurora couldn't help but watch in awe at how many of them there were. She definitely held a ton of respect for Isabella for raising them all.

"Holy shit," muttered Elijah, eyes widening at the sight of Aurora. "I'm Elijah and you are gorgeous. I think I'm in love."

He smoothly brought her hand up to his lips, placing a chaste kiss on the back of her hand. Maddie brought her hand to wack her brother on the back of his head, causing him to yelp and drop her hand. She mouthed a quick 'sorry' to her best friend.

Xavier brought his hand up to Aurora's waist, tugging her closer to him as he glared warning daggers at Elijah.

Next to him, a younger girl rolled her eyes and gave Aurora a kind smile. "I apologize for my idiotic brother's behavior. I'm Megan."

Aurora chuckled. "It's very nice to meet both of you."

"Hello beautiful," introduced the oldest Knight sibling. "I'm obviously the best looking Knight in this family. The name's Damien."

He bowed after his introduction, causing Aurora to laugh. Xavier rolled his eyes at his brother's introduction. He was 30 for fuck's sake.

"Are you all just going to hit on my girlfriend right in front of me?" Xavier grumbled with an unamused expression on his face.

"Hi, I'm this idiot's twin," Stephanie shoved Damien aside, causing the latter to protest. Taking a step forward, Stephanie gently pulled Aurora out of Xavier's grasps and into a warm hug. "I saw you at the restaurant with my brother, but someone didn't want to introduce me. I'm Stephanie and this is my husband, Ethan."

Ethan smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Aurora,"

Aurora smiled as she returned the hug. It seemed like the Knights were huggers. "It's so nice to meet you both. I told Xavier it would've been nice to meet you at the restaurant. He didn't even mention anything until a couple days after."

"He's an idiot," Stephanie shrugged causing Xavier to protest. "He thought I was going to scare you away, but I swear I am by far the nicest person you'll ever meet. Right honey?"

"Of course, my love," Ethan gave his wife a loving smile.

"Well, I don't think I need to introduce these two idiots," Xavier muttered, skipping over Liam and Lucas, who quickly began to protest.

"Hey, why don't we get to introduce ourselves?" Asked Lucas with a pout on his face.

Maddie rolled her eyes. "You're lucky you're good looking."

"Hey, I want an introduction too," protested Liam. "This is favoritism."

"She already knows you idiots," Xavier shook his head, asking himself why he was friends with them.

Noticing movement towards the ground, a small body that was attached to Stephanie's leg moved slightly from his position. He popped his little head around, glancing shyly up at Aurora.

Stephanie noticed and brought her son up to her hips.

"And who is this cutie?" Asked Aurora, stepping closer to the toddler, who quickly hid his head in his mother's neck.

"Tell the pretty lady your name, baby," Stephanie gently urged.

Colton looked up shyly. "I Colton."

Aurora literally died. She couldn't believe how cute he was with his tiny hands that clutched Stephanie's shirt tightly.

"Hi Colton," cooed Aurora. "I'm Aurora, but you can call me Rory."

"Rowy?" He shyly said, causing Aurora to swoon.

Aurora could feel herself shaking as she looked up at Xavier and squeezed his arm excitedly. "He's so cute!"

Xavier chuckled, looking down at her with a soft expression on his face. His nephew was indeed pretty cute. The little munchkin had his whole family wrapped around his tiny finger.

"What's all this Rory? Did you buy all of this?" Asked Maddie, looking a little puzzled as she stared at the table. Everyone's attention was now directed at the table.

Aurora gasped, remembering the pile. "Oh, I almost forgot. I brought some little gifts for everyone."

"Little?" Questioned Liam, looking at the pile on the table.

"I may have gone a bit overboard," admitted Aurora, giving them a sheepish smile.

Maddie shook her head with amusement, giving her best friend a knowing smile. "Knowing you, you would've had all of this wrapped if you had the time."

"Oh, dear, you didn't have to bring anything besides yourself," Isabella gave her a gentle squeeze. "I hope Xavier didn't say anything to make you buy all of this."

Xavier held his hand up in surrender. "It was all out of my control, ma."

"No, I wanted to," insisted Aurora, giving Isabella a happy smile before grabbing the bottle of whiskey. "This is for you, Alexander."

She handed the bottle to Alexander, who took it with shock on his face. "Thank you, dear. How did you know this was my favorite whiskey?"

"I may have had a little help," Aurora grinned up at Xavier, who gave her a subtle wink, causing her to roll her eyes. She pointed to the fruit basket and a large bag of snacks. "This is for all of you. I know Maddie never shared when she brought them home."

"Damn, guilty as charged," Maddie gave her a sheepish smile.

"She didn't even share with me," pouted Lucas, causing Maddie to nudge him.

"This is for little Colton," She held the toy toolbox up to the toddler whose eyes immediately lit up. With grabby hands, he took the box out of Aurora's grasps and began to squeal with happiness.

"Oh, you didn't have to, Aurora—Xavier already spoils him enough," Stephanie gave Aurora a one-handed hug since Colton was in her other arm. "Thank you."

"Now, what do you say Colton?" Ethan reminded his son.

"Thwank yew, Rowy," he mumbled shyly, giving Aurora a big toothy grin that made Aurora's heart swoon.

"How is he so cute?" Aurora whispered, looking at Xavier with a puppy dog look on her face, causing him to chuckle.

After a couple more seconds of swooning over Colton, she moved onto the next present.

"This is for Megan," Aurora handed the "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" trilogy that was tied together with a bow to Megan. They were all signed with a personal message to Megan. "I heard you were a fan of her books."

Megan's eyes widened as she took the books. "I missed her book signing last month. How'd you get them all signed?"

"I did a little project for Jenny a while back and she was more than happy to sign them for you," Aurora explained, happy that Megan liked the gift.

Megan continued to look at Aurora with admiration before turning to look at Xavier. "Marry her."

They all laughed as Megan flipped through the books giddily. Aurora grabbed the last gift and gave it to a more than eager Elijah.

"Damn, how'd you know I play hockey, babe?" He asked, giving her a wink. Xavier clenched his jaw as he grumbled profanities under his breath. Elijah just loved pissing his brother off. "And a Bruins stick too."

Aurora shook her head with amusement. "Look closer."

Elijah looked at her with a confused expression on his face before staring down at the hockey stick with even more confusion. "What do you mean? It's a hockey—What the fuck? Is that the Connor Young's signature?"

"Took him a while," muttered Xavier, causing Aurora to laugh.

"What— How?—I mean what?" Elijah looked closer at the signature on the blade that had a small message on the other side before looking at Aurora with bewilderment.

Damien had moved closer to his brother as he stared at the hockey stick with jealousy. Even Liam and Lucas crowded over Elijah, despite their knowledge of Aurora's connection to Connor.

Seeing Xavier's expression, Aurora smoothly grabbed the signed puck on the table and handed it to Damien. Now, both brothers were left speechless as they gaped at her in shock.

"How—What—?"

Aurora chuckled before giving a simple explanation. "He's my older brother. Xavier told me you guys were fans of the Bruins."

Both brothers stared at her dumbly, not seemingly able to process the information.

Elijah broke out of his trance, replacing it with a sly expression on his face. "So, what your saying is that if you were to go to a Bruins game, you would ultimately get in for free?"

Aurora tilted her. She's never been to Boston to see her brother's games before and she didn't know anything about hockey. "I guess so?"

Elijah's expression brightened. "If my brother doesn't marry you, I'll happily take his place."

Xavier glared at his brother's remark before bringing Aurora back to him and wrapping his arm around her waist. He placed a gentle kiss on the crown of her head, making her look up with a smile. "She's amazing, isn't she?"

"She is," Elijah looked at her dreamily. "When's our first date babe?"

Xavier's eyes narrowed at his brother as he tightened his hold. "She's mine, so back the fuck off."

He glared at Elijah who just simply shrugged. Elijah gave her a wink that made everyone roll their eyes. "I'm just a call away, babe."

"You little—"

"Alright, everyone," Isabella stopped the arguing before it could escalate further. "Let's go eat before the food gets cold."

"Wanna sit with me, babe?" Asked Elijah, flirtatiously. He was really testing Xavier's patience. "I'm a lot more interesting than my boring ass brother."

"One more word from you and I'll punch your pretty face."

Xavier wrapped his arm around Aurora's shoulders as the fire warmed them up. Everyone sat spread out around the bonfire, chattering amongst themselves.

Aurora had long kicked off her heels and decided to intertwine her legs with Xavier's wanting to keep her toes warm. She rested her head on his shoulder and let out a content sigh.

"What are you thinking about, sweetheart?" Xavier asked quietly.

Aurora intertwined his free hand together with hers. "Believe it or not, my head is completely blank right now."

Xavier chuckled glancing down at their laced fingers. Aurora was playing with his fingers as she took a look around them. It warmed her heart to see the Knights' close bond and how easily they accepted her as their own.

"But honestly, I had so much fun meeting your family today. They're pretty amazing," she admitted quietly. "I don't know why I was so nervous."

"I'm not sure why you were so nervous either," Xavier gave her hand a small squeeze. "I told you they would love you. I just hope they won't keep you away from me this weekend."

"Oh, come on. I spend a lot of time with you. I think it's only fair that I bond with your family," she teased, which earned a small pinch on the side from him, causing her to stifle a giggle. She decided to take her teasing a bit further. "I especially want to get to know Elijah better."

The last part made him grunt with disapproval. "He better stay at least 3 feet away from you at all times or I'll beat his ass."

"Be nice, he's your brother," Aurora scolded playfully before giggling at the seriousness of his tone. "But I have to admit—he is pretty good looking."

Xavier frowned with disagreement. "He's also 7 years younger than you."

She shrugged, feigning nonchalance. Xavier was cute when he was all riled up.

Not liking where this conversation was going, he poked and tickled her, causing her to awkwardly spasm in her seat.

"The only guy you should be looking at is me."

He continued as she laughed until she couldn't take it anymore.

"Okay, okay, fine," she surrendered, pushing his hands away. "I only have eyes for you."

"Damn, right. Your eyes better be on me and only me this weekend. Not on any of my brothers," Xavier growled out, pulling her back into their earlier position with her legs intertwined with his. "You're mine."

Aurora looked up and placed a soft kiss on his clenched jaw before cuddling further into his warm embrace.

"I'm yours."
