"Do you really have to go?"

Xavier wrapped his arms around Aurora as she continued to pack her carryon suitcase. It was finally the weekend and Aurora couldn't wait to spend some time with the girls. Megan needed it and they were going to be there for her.

It was a spontaneous trip— one that Aurora was looking forward to 100%. She liked that it wasn't planned beforehand and that there was no specific itinerary to be followed. She wasn't one to plan meticulously, which was the complete opposite of Xavier since he preferred planning ahead. The girls were going to relax, eat, and gossip to their heart's content— all without their men present.

But for some reason, Xavier was feeling a little extra clingy. Not that she minded— she found it cute.

"We're not even going far— we're just to your family vacation house by the beach," she murmured as she struggled to zip up the suitcase. And Xavier definitely wasn't making it easier with his arms wrapped around her waist.

Again, he was feeling clingy.

It was only a three-day two-night trip, yet here she was, overpacking as usual. Xavier wondered why she needed to pack 5 different types of tops, bottoms, and dresses as well as a variety of shoes when all she really needed was two changes of clothing.

Her answer, well, it was better to be prepared than unprepared. What if they were going out to a fancy restaurant and she didn't have a nice outfit to wear? What if she was eating a sandwich and all of the contents fell out onto her outfit, but she didn't have a spare change of clothing?

There was an endless amount of possibilities, therefore she needed different types of clothing for different situations. It really was a simple concept.

To Xavier, it didn't make any sense. But despite not quite understanding this logic, he knew it was best not to question her any further.

"I don't understand why I'm not invited," he murmured against the skin on her neck, planting small kisses as he tried to distract her. But he was too late, she had finally managed to zip her suitcase up.

Slightly out of breath, she turned in his arms. She had to bite back a smile as she stared at his sullen expression.

"Babe, it's a girls' trip," she emphasized, causing his mood to dampen even more. "I'll be back before you know it."

"You can't look this good, and expect me to just let you go," he murmured, taking a minute to appreciate what his beautiful girlfriend was wearing.

She had on a lace white bralette with a jean skirt held up by a black leather belt. It was a simple outfit, yet it drove Xavier crazy just looking at her. He was really tempted to just lock her up in the bedroom with him.

Aurora gasped when he tugged her closer by the waist and began to trail sweet kisses down her neck again. "Are you trying to tempt me into not go on this relaxing trip with your sisters?"

"We can relax together at home without my sisters," He whispered, nipping her ear lobe. "I think we'll both enjoy it."

Before she could get even more distracted, she grabbed his face so his lips weren't anywhere near her. "Xavier, behave— you're distracting me."

"I think that's the point, sweetheart."

He pulled her closer again, causing her to groan. "Xavier, a girl's trip is exactly what Megan needs."

"But-"

The doorbell rang before he could get a chance to protest more. Everything happened so quickly while he was distracted for a moment and before he knew it, Aurora had already pulled away from his arms, and run out of the room to greet his sisters at the door.

Xavier blinked. Was she really that excited to have a girls' weekend?

He surely wasn't.

Shaking his head, he grabbed the already forgotten suitcase, as well as her purse, and began making his way downstairs.

"God, what did this woman pack?" He couldn't help but mutter to himself as he got closer to the ladies who were chatting up a storm in excitement. It was like she packed her whole wardrobe in the tiny suitcase, leaving him even more confused as to why she needed all this for a simple three-day trip.

"Oh, come on, little brother," grinned Stephanie, seeing the gloomy expression on Xavier's face. "Can you at least look a little bit excited?"

Xavier turned his frown into a smile that looked forced, causing all the girls to burst into laughter. He immediately dropped the smile, his sulky expression making its appearance again. Aurora laughed and wrapped her arms around his neck, placing a kiss on his jaw.

"I'll be back before you know it," she murmured, caressing his cheek.

Not able to take the lovey-dovey atmosphere anymore, his sisters made their way outside to Maddie's matte black Mercedes G-Wagon, chattering with excitement. With a grunt, Xavier helped carry both Megan's and Aurora's suitcases, and thankfully, Megan's was a lot lighter.

"I'll FaceTime you when I get there," she murmured as she wrapped around Xavier, pulling him into an embrace. There was still a pout on his face, but by now, he knew she was leaving no matter how much he didn't want her to. "I love you."

"I'll be waiting for that call," he began peppering kisses all over her face, causing her to giggle. He pressed one last lingering kiss on her lips before finally pulling away. "I love you, more. Have fun, sweetheart."

Before Aurora had the chance to reply, a loud honk broke them apart.

"Alright, lovebirds, break it up," Maddie grinned mischievously, knowing that the honk probably made Aurora jump with fright. And indeed, it did, much to Aurora's dismay. "At this rate, we'll be getting there tomorrow."

Aurora rolled her eyes as Xavier helped her climb into the car. Of course, he took the opportunity to swat her butt, causing her to glare at him playfully while his sisters pretended to gag.

"You get used to it," shrugged Megan, opening up her the latest book she's been obsessing over. She wasn't even surprised to see how Xavier acted around Aurora anymore. "They're always like this."

Xavier closed the door, gesturing for Aurora to roll down the windows. "Remember, we're just an hour away, so if you girls need anything-"

"Yeah, yeah, we've heard it all before," Maddie rolled her eyes as she dismissed her brother's nagging, causing him to stare at her with annoyance. The sisters swore he was only this protective because Aurora was with them. "We'll bring Rory back in one piece, don't you worry big brother."

"Yeah, don't worry," Stephanie repeated, shooing her younger brother off with a mischievous grin. "Being the oldest and most responsible one here, I'll watch over all of them."

Well, that didn't put him at ease at all.

Xavier didn't budge as he looked at her with deadpan. "It's you I'm the most worried about. You know how you get when you're... excited."

He wanted to say drunk because he knew they were going to be drinking on this trip, but he didn't want to give them any new ideas, just in case.

"I'll look after them," Megan leaned over to give Xavier a reassuring smile.

Xavier nodded and smiled. "I'll be counting on you, peanut."

At least, there was someone responsible going on this trip, which was funny because she was also the youngest.

Maddie rolled her eyes and shifted the gear to drive. As the car began to move, Aurora leaned her head out of the window with a cheeky smile and blew a kiss to Xavier. He caught it with his hand and brought it to his heart causing her to laugh at his dorkiness. She was probably one of the only ones who saw this side of Xavier.

"You two are sickening," muttered Maddie when Aurora sat back in her seat. Rolling up all the windows, she switched the A/C on.

"As if you're any better with Lucas," sassed Aurora, throwing a suggestive look at her best friend, knowing she could see her through the rearview mirror.

"Alright, enough bickering, ladies," Stephanie connected her phone to the speaker, and music began to blast through the car. She was feeling especially excited to finally get a break from her mom duties. "Let's get this mother fucking show on the road."

All four girls cheered, knowing that without their men chaperoning them, they were about to let loose. Even Megan had a look of excitement on her face.

Xavier watched as the car reach the gate and disappear as it left his property. There was a bit of unease, knowing that with the girls together, they were bound to get into some kind of trouble.

He sighed, walking back into the now desolate house. He had gotten so used to Aurora's presence in his home that it felt empty now that she wasn't here.

Xavier found himself busying himself with work, and before he knew it, it was already the next day. He still had to figure out what to do with Megan's school, but by now he had a general idea of how he wanted to get revenge on Megan's behalf— which sadly did not involve any killing per her request.

He was finishing up writing a contract when his doorbell rang. He wasn't expecting any visitors, especially not after dinnertime, so it was odd that someone would be here. He knew it was most likely someone from his family since they managed to get onto the property.

Opening the door, he was greeted with the familiar smiling faces of two grown men and a very hyper toddler.

"Unwcle Xavi!" Colton reached over, making grabby hands at his uncle.

Xavier scrunched his forehead with confusion as he took Colton from Ethan's arms. Lucas and Ethan pushed their way into the house without an invitation, both collapsing onto the living room couch.

Still confused, he pushed the front door closed and made his way over to the two men who were currently making themselves at home. Colton began to babble in non-coherent sentences as Xavier tried his best to reply to his hyperactive nephew.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"We were bored," Lucas placed his feet onto the table, which made Xavier glare daggers at him. Of course, Lucas ignored him and continued. "So, we decided to come visit you— seeing as our ladies are out on a fun mini-vacation without us."

His voice held a tone of displeasure, and Xavier knew Lucas had wanted to tag along with the girls. Knowing Maddie, she probably scolded him for even suggesting that he come along on their girls-only trip. Even now, they were all sporting little frowns, thinking of how much fun the girls were having without them.

"I should've told the guards at the gate to not let you two in," groaned Xavier, internally cursing himself for not seeing that this was going to happen sooner.

Lucas pouted. "Now, that's not nice, Xavi." He smirked when Xavier rolled his eyes at the nickname Colton had called him. "What were you doing just now?"

"He was probably doing paperwork," chirped Ethan. The two men looked at Xavier expectantly, seeing if he would deny this.

Xavier kept his face blank, causing the two to burst into laughter. Startled, Colton looked up from his position on Xavier's lap before going back to playing on his dad's phone.

"As if you two were doing anything productive," Xavier rolled his eyes at the immature men in front of him.

"Hey!" Protested the both of them at the same time.

"Hey!" Repeated Colton, not paying attention to the men conversing, but just repeating certain words that he's hearing.

"I'll have you know, raising a kid is hard work and very productive," Ethan crossed his arms and leaned back on the couch. "Do you know how difficult it is to put that kid to sleep by myself? Every time I put him in his crib, he crawls out— I swear to god we need to get him a big boy bed or something."

He glanced at Colton, who was laying very comfortably in Xavier's lap. As if knowing his father was talking about him, Colton looked up and gave his father a cheeky smile.

"He's lucky he's cute like his mother," he muttered, making a funny face which caused Colton to cackle. Xavier shifted the toddler in his lap so he wouldn't fall off.

"I'll have you know I was also doing something very productive," defended Lucas, feeling a bit left out.

Xavier raised his eyebrow. "Like what? Texting Maddie every thirty minutes, asking her what she's up to?"

Lucas scoffed before correcting his best friend. "For your information, I text her every hour— like the amazing boyfriend that I am."

Both Xavier and Ethan snickered off to the side, causing Lucas to glare at the two of them.

"Like you two haven't been doing that either."

Xavier and Ethan stopped snickering, knowing they couldn't deny Lucas' claims because they were somewhat true. They were all whipped for their women— it was a fact that they all knew. It fell silent with the only sounds coming from the game Colton was playing on the phone.

"Man, we really can't do anything without our women by our side," muttered Ethan, finally breaking the silence as he shook his head at how ridiculous they were being.

"We're pathetic," agreed Xavier.

"In all honesty, I think we should've been invited on this trip," added Lucas.

"Agreed," Both he and Ethan mumbled, still feeling a little bitter for not being invited. For once, they were all in agreement.

"I mean, we're fun— I don't know about Xavier, but we're fun!" Lucas added, causing Ethan to snicker.

"Fwun!" Cheered Colton, clapping his hands excitedly. "Have fwun! Have fwun!"

"See? Even Colton agrees," Lucas reached over to tickle Colton, who began to squirm with laughter in Xavier's lap.

Xavier scowled at his two friends in front of him, but before he could punch them, his phone began to go off. He moved Colton off of his lap, to which the toddler quickly began to protest before settling onto Lucas' lap comfortably.

As he checked the caller ID, his expression turned into a confused one, causing the other two men to look at him with semi-alarm.

"Who is it?" Ethan asked, looking for a snack for kids in Colton's baby bag to keep the toddler busy.

"Megan," murmured Xavier. "I told her to call if they ran into any trouble."

This was when they began to worry. Just what kind of trouble did their women get into?
