"And his ass! Have you ever seen an ass that plump and-"

"Can we please talk about something else," groaned Aurora, begging her friend to stop going on and on about a certain someone's bottom.

"I'm just sayin'," Daniel shrugged defensively with his hands on the wheel. "That man is fine as fuck."

Aurora rolled her eyes.

It was 1PM, Friday, the day they were going to survey the hotel. Daniel had offered to give Aurora and Grace a ride since they were all leaving from the office together.

And from the moment she sat down on the front seat, Aurora was having serious regrets about coming along with the two of them. It had only been 30 minutes since they had left the office and the duo had been going on and on about the attractive CEO and his butt. Now being stuck in traffic made Aurora want to rip her hair out.

"He's not wrong," chirped Grace from the back seat of the Mercedes. "But he also high key scares me."

"Right?! But that just makes him so much hotter." Gushed Daniel. Aurora let out another groan as Grace and Daniel continued to giggle like school girls.

"You guys are acting like a bunch of horny teenagers," mumbled Aurora under her breath, which did not go unheard in the car. "Xavier's not even scary."

"Says the one who finds guys who look good in jeans attractive," snorted Daniel as he rolled his eyes. "I mean seriously, that's the only quality you want in a man?"

"I was drunk when I said that," countered Aurora giving her friend a glare for making fun of her words. So what if that was the one thing she looked for in guys.

"I bet Mr. CEO would look great in jeans," added Daniel, giving Aurora a smirk."His ass would probably fit those real fine."

Aurora rolled her eyes. Of course he would bring the conversation back to his ass.

"You're even on first name basis with him," added Grace.

"Imagine if called him 'Xavier'," scoffed Daniel. "We'd get our asses kicked off his building. By the way, I heard rumors about some guy who got his ass hauled off the roof because he accidentally stepped on Mr. Knight's shoes."

Grace nodded her head aggressively, agreeing with Daniel. Aurora shook her head in disbelief.

"Besides, you don't find him scary because he has the hots for you," Grace proclaimed, giving Aurora a knowing look. "He kept staring at you throughout the meeting!"

Aurora felt her face grow warm. She hated how her face grew warm easily and honestly, she low-key blamed it on her partial Asian genes.

She quickly tried to deny Grace's claims. "No he wasn't."

"He so was," Grace leaned forward to tap Daniel on the arm. "Right Daniel?"

"Mm if a man looked at me the way he was looking at you, I'd immediately jump him," Daniel snapped his fingers. Aurora slapped Daniel on the arm as she let out a loud laugh. Daniel didn't seem like the type who would make these types of comments but unlike Aurora, he never held back.

"Plus he went to your office after the meeting!" Added Grace.

"What?!" Screeched Daniel turning his head to give Aurora a bewildered look. Apparently Grace had forgotten to tell him.

Aurora immediately shouted at Daniel. "Eyes on the road!"

She did not want to die.

"Bitch, and you didn't tell me?!" Continued Daniel, completely ignoring Aurora's words, but turned his head back to the road anyways.

"I didn't think it was important," shrugged Aurora.

"Didn't think it was important," Repeated Daniel, scoffing as he made eye contact with Grace. "Did this girl really just say that?"

"She did," Grace nodded her head to confirm. "And he whispered something into her ear before he left."

"Grace!" Shouted Aurora. "Who's side are you on?"

Daniel let out a high pitched scream causing both girls to grimace. Aurora sent Grace a glare to which Grace responded with a cheeky smile.

"You guys are being dramatic," mumbled Aurora. "It's not a big deal."

"It IS a big deal," Daniel gave Aurora a knowing look. "It's obvious he's attracted to you."

"He's not. Trust me. What can he even see in me?" Blurted Aurora, not giving her friends time to cut in or object. "He's a big shot CEO, while I'm just me. I have nothing to offer him and besides, he's probably into tall, blond models."

Aurora filled herself with doubt and insecurity. She had always had a problem with self- confidence.

"Are you fucking serious right now Aurora?" Asked Daniel, giving Aurora a brief incredulous look. "You're fucking gorgeous and you have an incredible personality. Everyone who meets you automatically loves you. For a small little Asian girl, you know how to command the fucking room."

"5'5 is not small and little," grumble Aurora, yet she was touched with her friend's words. "And technically I'm half Asian."

Aurora's mother's side of the family was Taiwanese, while her father's side was from England. Most of her family on both sides were residing in L.A, and she absolutely adored her family. Aurora had gotten most of her mother's physical traits, while her brother looked more like their father.

"Yeah," agreed Grace. "And have you seen your body? You have a bangin' figure that I wish I had."

"If I was interested in girls, I would definitely fuck you first," added Daniel, followed by a loud laugh despite being serious.

Daniel's laugh was contagious. Both Grace and Aurora copied his loud laughter with Aurora reaching over to give Daniel another slap in the arm to which he feigned hurt. She wasn't sure if that was a compliment, but she was grateful for both of their supporting words.

The rest of the drive was filled with laughing and screaming. She was thankful that the conversation had moved onto a lighter topic. And although she seemed shy, Aurora had always been one to get loud and crazy when she was with people she was comfortable with.

"Sorry we're late," apologized Aurora as she approached the group standing in the lobby with Daniel and Grace slightly behind her. "The traffic was really bad."

Aurora shrugged her blazer back on which she had taken off during the car ride to the hotel.

She was wearing a long light grey blazer over a white halter top. Her skirt matched her jacket and stopped mid-thigh. She topped her outfit with a pair of black sock ankle boots that had a 3 inch heel.

"Not at all," Xavier turned to look at Aurora. She looked absolutely breathtaking with her hair lightly curled and face slightly flushed. She could be wearing a trash bag and Xavier would have still thought she looked great. "You're just in time."

Joshua stood next to his boss, slightly taken aback. It was unusual for Xavier to be calm when people were late. Xavier was not one to excuse tardiness, especially when it came to work.

Aurora replied with a quick hello before she pairing the architects and designers off. There were 6 of them there today to survey the site excluding Aurora and Xavier.

"Remember to document everything and take pictures," reminded Aurora as Daniel and the others began to spread off into different directions in pairs, leaving the 4 of them behind.

"Is there anything else you need?" Xavier's eyes seemed to never leave Aurora.

"Actually, can we have a tour of the hotel?" Asked Aurora looking up at Xavier. Despite wearing 3 inch heels, he still towered over her. "And a copy of the updated site drawings."

"Of course," Xavier began to lead her to the front desk, where the manager, who introduced himself as Paul, stood. "Whatever you need."

The tour began with Aurora pulling out her sketchbook, making sure she was jotting everything down. She also made quick sketches in the book next to her notes to make sure she wouldn't forget anything.

Grace had her DSLR camera out taking pictures under Aurora's instructions. The two women were following the hotel manager as he explained and showed them the hotel, with Xavier and Joshua trailing behind them silent.

Xavier felt himself watch Aurora as she conversed with the manager and documented everything with ease. He was awestruck at how professional she was and admired how passionate she was with her job. He could see why Liam had hired her and why she had been promoted to department head so early in her career.

He found himself more and more attracted to her with time, especially when he saw Aurora take charge, giving out orders in a commanding yet elegant way. Honestly, he wouldn't mind being on the receiving end of her commands, which was surprise since he never took orders from anyone.

And Xavier actually found himself slightly turned on.

Xavier's attention was mainly on her, barely listening to what Paul was saying to her. Joshua trailed silently behind his boss in case Xavier needed him.

In the middle of the tour, Joshua's phone had began ringing, causing Xavier to give him a slight glare for the interruption. However, knowing that it was probably the office calling, Joshua quickly excused himself to answer his phone.

A couple minutes later, Joshua had returned, and began to give Xavier the information he had obtained from Ethan's assistant. Ethan was the head of the marketing department and was also his sister's husband.

"I think we'll definitely have to tear down these walls," Aurora said to Grace, writing down a quick note on her sketchbook so she would remember. She pulled out the blueprints on her iPad from her purse and drew a red 'x' on the wall.

Grace voiced her agreement and began to take photos of the said wall as well as the surrounding interior decor.

Aurora felt a hand touch her elbow, turning to look up, only to see Xavier with a slight frown on his face.

Aurora gave him a concerned look. "What's wrong?"

"I have to head back to the office for an urgent matter," explained Xavier for her ears only, pulling Aurora gently to the side. He didn't feel the obligation to explain it to anyone else. "Will you be alright?"

"Of course," Aurora gave Xavier a reassuring smile. "I'm sure we'll have everything under control."

"If you need anything just let Paul know."

Xavier nodded before leaving with Joshua, slightly irritated that he had to leave her. It seemed like every time he got to spend time with Aurora, he always got interrupted with work.

A scowl made its way up to Xavier's face as he cursed his way towards the awaiting car.

There was going to be serious consequences for the unwanted disruption.
