The drive to the party started to become too much for Jungkook, who couldn't stand the silence much longer.

"T- Mr. Taehyung?" Jungkook winced as he almost called his master by the nickname he had for him.

"Yes, Jungkook?"

The butler laced his fingers together nervously, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine," Taehyung said without even turning around to look at the younger.

Jungkook was about to say he didn't believe him, but decided to let it go for the moment since Yoongi was in the car with them.

As the two cars neared the large black building that had way too many windows, Taehyung and Jungkook caught sight of Namjoon standing outside of it on the phone.

Well fuck, they both thought simultaneously.

After both cars were parked everyone got out and walked towards the front entrance, Mr. Kim and his brother leading the way.

Namjoon looked over at them and quickly looked away, then as if finally realizing what he saw, he did a double take. His eyes went back and forth between Taehyung and Jungkook before smirking.

Taehyung and his butler looked at each other, their eyes telling a story. A story that went a little like 'what the fuck'.

The older was the first to look away as Jungkook's eyes lingered.

Walking through the doors, Jungkook felt a hand on his arm.

"Follow me. I'll show you to the butler area," Yoongi said with friendly gummy smile as he quickly started to walk off.

Jungkook looked around to find his master, who was walking in a different direction.

Sighing, he decided to catch up with Yoongi.

As Yoongi was standing with his friend he saw Jungkook and motioned him over. "Jungkook, this is Jimin. He's a butler too and a very close friend of mine."

Jungkook noticed the slight blush on Yoongi's face and smirked.

Friend my ass.

"Nice to meet you, Jimin." Jungkook stuck his hand out and shook Jimin's, noticing how small the boy's hands were.

Jimin muttered a quick 'you too' and the boys sat down in what was known as 'the butler corner' of the building.

Taehyung was getting tired of hearing his father and uncle talk endlessly about business ventures so he decided to walk off and get himself a drink.

Walking up to the drink bar, he scanned his options.

"What can I get you?" The guy behind the bar asked with a bright smile. He kinda reminded Taehyung of sunshine, with his positive energy.

"I think I'm going to have a sprite," Taehyung said though it sounded more like a question.

"Good choice. That's my favorite. I'm Hoseok by the way," He stuck out his hand to Taehyung, who gladly shook it.

"Taehyung."

Hoseok's eyes widened. "Oh, Mr. Kim's son."

"The very one," Taehyung chuckled. "Although, neither my father nor I are as scary as people like to make us out to be."

"Thank goodness, I'm glad to hear that." Hoseok pretended to wipe sweat off his forehead and smiled at the younger.

"Oh yeah, sorry. I'll get your sprite right away." The older quickly started making the drink.

"No rush," Taehyung said as he genuinely liked talking to his new friend. Could he already consider him a friend? He hoped so.

"Here's your sprite, made by the best." Hoseok winked and the younger laughed, thanking him as he took the drink.

"Hopefully we'll see each other around, yeah?" Taehyung said with every ounce of sincerity in his body.

Hoseok shook his head, grinning. "Don't worry, I'm sure we will."

At that Taehyung smiled, waving bye to his new friend as he turned to walk back in the direction he had left his father.

But he stopped when he came face-to-face with a smiling Namjoon. It was a very menacing smile at that. Very different from the sweet one he had just received from Hoseok.

Coincidence? Taehyung didn't think so. He was sure Namjoon's visits were preplanned.

"What do you want?" The younger hissed through clenched teeth.

Namjoon tsked, "Now that's no way to speak to an old friend."

"You're far from an old friend. Answer the question." Taehyung was getting more irritated by the second. After all this was the guy who lied to him. At least he decided to believe that since he trusted Jungkook.

"I just wanted to talk." Namjoon said, hoping to convince Taehyung he didn't have an underlying agenda.

"I can't think of anything we would have to talk about." The younger rolled his eyes, trying to get around Namjoon.

The older's next words had Taehyung frozen in his tracks.

"Your mom's car accident was no accident."
