(Y/n) sighed sitting on the couch watching the press conference of the president of the United States. Ryuk gazed over at her and chuckled. Matsuda threw him an apple which Ryuk happily caught. "You do nothing but watch TV huh?" He asked, about to put the apple in his mouth. Matsuda snatched the apple back and put it in his mouth with a snarl.

"I'm going to keep this straight, we are no longer going to oppose Kira," The president said. "Coward…" (Y/n) scoffed. "I can't believe this! This is America we're talking about!" Aizawa exclaimed.

"Do you guys mind if I ask a serious question?" Matsuda asked. "What is it?" (Y/n) asked. "Do you guys ever think Kira isn't all so evil?" He questioned.

"What type of question is that, Matsuda?" Ryuzaki asked. "So now you think Kira is justice too?!" Aizawa said.

"I don't really know but I think he's doing it in his own way, I mean-" "You're wrong Matsuda, they're only afraid of losing their own lives. How does that make you believe it's true peace?" Ryuzaki cut him off.

"I understand that! But I can see the other side. When it comes to things I'm not the strongest. I am a detective though and I fight against Kira, I guess I must be crazy huh?" The man explained.

"No, you're normal," Light mumbled. "You too, Light?" L asked. "I'm sure on some level but I think he knows what he's doing. I bet that's what is going through his mind," Light said.

"Good or evil it's not on us, all we have to focus on is catching him. If Kira gets caught he's evil but if he wins and rules the world he's justice," (Y/n) chewed on the inside of her cheek.

"L, I think you should know that we caught Mello, but he escaped soon after," Near said. "He didn't escape right? You let him get away," Light scoffed.

"No, we tried to catch him but he was too quick. He explains how a shinigami is attached to a death note. Have you been able to verify the existence of this creature?" N asked.

"Yes, I didn't tell you at the beginning because I knew you wouldn't believe me," Light, who was playing L's role, explained. 'Just what are you doing, Light Yagami,' The real L thought, biting the top of his finger.

"I would like to ask the shinigami a few questions. I have reasons to believe that a rule is fake," N said. "A fake rule?" They asked. "Yes, L which rule do you think is fake?" The other line inquired.

"Based on the process of elimination, if the holder doesn't write a new name every 13 days they will die, to be honest I don't believe that,"Light answered. "I've come to the same conclusion," Near stated.

"Tell me Shinigami since you know all about the notebook, are any of the rules fake?" the brunette asked. "Nope, they're all real," Ryuk provided.

"I see you have the shinigami with you?" The other caller asked. "Yes," The brunette said. "I think I'm beginning to understand, Kira is in the room and is lying on his behalf," Near explained.

"So what difference does that make?" Matsuda asked. "That means the time Light was locked up was useless. And being in confinement for more than 13 days was just a waste," Ryuzaki explained.

"Before the deputy director passed away he was still able to deny the fact Light was Kira, so it's still not possible right?" (Y/n) said.

"Let's test it out his why then, I will write down Mello's real name in the notebook that means he'll die, and if I die 13 days later Kira wins. Either way it's something I'm willing to do," N said. "Testing out this rule can benefit the Kira investigation. There wouldn't be any other drawbacks but N's death," Ryuzaki explained.

'They really are similar,' Light thought. "Please wait a moment, we have to discuss," The brunet said, muting the call.

"Any thoughts? We can say we must respect human life and deny it. But I can't say that, I'm under suspicion after all," Light said. "It's a close call, Mello killed the deputy director," (Y/n) said, she thought back to the time he planned to kill her. She felt betrayed. But nonetheless she had to save everyone right?  "I wouldn't stop N if he's offering," Matsuda mumbled.

"I don't believe Kira is among us, we shouldn't use the notebook for anything," Ide explained. "We should respect the deputy director's wishes to the end," Aizawa said. "I'm against the idea as well," Mogi agreed. "We shouldn't use the notebook, who knows what will happen," L sighed.

Light nodded before going back to talking to Near. "-To the members of the Japanese task force was ever a place in time you thought the second L was Kira? But the suspicion eventually dropped, listening to our conversation as of now call this number if you are interested, the choice is yours," N mumbled.

(Y/n) yawned walking around town during Demigawa's outburst. She saw a familiar blond with sunglasses. "Uhm…Mello?" (Y/n) questioned. He turned around with a piece of chocolate in his mouth.

"It's you…" Mello scoffed. "Yeah, the one and only, (Y/n)!" She grinned. He flicked her forehead. "And I'm the forehead flickerer," The blond growled.

"Ouch! What are your hands iron or something?" She whined, holding down her forehead. "(Y/n)," He said.

"Huh?" (Y/n) asked. "I don't want you to care for me. I don't want any drawbacks while catching Kira," Mello said. She looked at him shocked. 'I can't lose a love interest!' (Y/n) thought. "I-" He was already gone before she could speak.

(Y/n) made it back to headquarters, slightly whining. "This is why I'll be single for the rest of my life! Because everyone is toxic," She mumbled, waving her arms around.

"Maybe be more lovable," Ryuzaki shot back. (Y/n) have him a glare. 'This must be around the time Mikami has the death note. Maybe just Maybe if I convince Light Yagami enough I can get the death note and fill in for Misa so she won't die,' (Y/n)

Hey!! It's the lovable author here, as expected here's a chapter for all of you readers...would you guys like another chapter like chapter 21, where (Y/n) is given time with other characters. Orrr should she just spend time with each other throughout chapters?
