~Patrick's POV~

I was alone. I always had been. When your parents constantly called you their 'horrible mistake' there weren't really very many other options. They even turned my siblings against me.

So I ran away.

Now I was just alone in the world rather than a house where I was despised. Not that it was very much better.

I just wandered. I had some money, but it was beginning to run out when they did catch me. The day they located me, I was in a small coffee shop. I was there for the discount offer they were having on a drink and some food.

It started out perfectly fine, I was in control. I was blending in... But of course that never works out long for me.

I don't know what triggered my loss of control, but I know it's usually when I lose control of some emotion...

The next thing I know, my eyes are covered by their yellow filter and things are flying around the coffee shop. People... People were screaming and pointing at me. Deeming me as the 'freak that caused this'.

I-I ran. What was I supposed to do? People were already after me. I had no idea where I was going or even where to go. I just ran for what felt like miles...I ducked into some kind of alley, but they caught me trying to slip away... Two others with abilities, the masked two that took Gerard earlier. They brought me here...Or at least to the vehicle that brought me here...Blindfolded and tied up...That's how I got here...Alone.

And that's how I'll probably leave.

Alone and in a body bag.

~Pete's POV~

Patrick lay in an uncertain sleep next to me. After he had told me the story of his capture, he just wanted to sleep. No more talking, no more thinking.

I refused to leave his side. He had a sadness in his eyes like I had never seen before as he retold his story. It seemed to drain him.

I wish I had never of asked. I wish I had let him go on without reliving his past. Somehow, it wasn't really very much better than his present.

I cringed at the pain that arose as I lifted my arm to wrap around him. I closed my eyes as the blue, soothing, glow began to light. It was all I could do...What could I do?

"I would sing...to you ev...ryday..."

I opened my eyes at Patrick singing softly in his sleep. His voice... Even laced with sleep, it was still beautiful. I closed my eyes again and listened quietly for any other words to spill past his lips.

Sadly, if they did, I was already long asleep.

"Well! What's this?" I woke up to a screeching voice at my ear.

I turned and saw Doctor Walker standing between the two beds, looming over Patrick and I. I pulled my arm away from him, to try and conceal the blue glow, crying out in pain and causing Patrick to wake up.

"Cheeky boys..." Doctor Walker brought one of her fingers up to the corner of her mouth and bit it. She looked between the two of us with eyes full of hate. "I came for one...But Doctor Lite will love this."

"No!" Patrick had turned over and now scooted back toward the wall. I saw absolute terror in his eyes as he looked up at Doctor Walker.

"What is it Patrick?" Doctor Walker tilted her head as she looked at him, "Fear? Is it eating away at your tiny little wall of control you think you have?"

Patrick cried out in pain and pressed his hands against his head.

I didn't know what to do. Suddenly my scars were hurting to the point that I couldn't move without a blinding pain searing me.

"Come on then, Patrick." She egged on, "Do it. Make things move again. Just like when I hurt Gerard. Just look at how I'm hurting Pete!"

My eyes shifted to her. Her eyes were directed on Patrick. Her eyes... They were an otherworldly green, with light surrounding it like a dull fog.

She was one of us.

"You're doing this..." I said in realization, "You're hurting him!"

Her attention shifted from Patrick to me. The pain increased unbearably. I couldn't control myself as my muscles contorted and I spasmmed.

"Clever one, aren't we, Wentz?" She laughed, "I'm only pushing him. The hurt is coming from you."

My muscles calmed and I was sprawled on the bed, breathing heavily. I tilted my head towards Patrick. His eyes were glazed over in yellow as he shakily stared over at doctor Walker. There was something different in his demeanor from the last time I had looked over at him. I could see anger replacing his fear.

His eyes flickered from the yellow to his baby blue for just an instant. In that same instant, the drawers of our dresser flew open on their own.

"Oh, I'm so scared!" Doctor Walker taunted, "Is that all all you've got? Because I've got lots more!"

I lost control of my movement as the pain returned instantaneously. I heard Patrick cry out and then a cry from doctor Walker. My pain ceased. My eyes were closed as my chest quickly rose and fell.

"That's what I was looking for!" I heard her giddy laughter that made my fist clentch at my side, "Tyler! Sedate him!"

I opened my eyes as a blur of a person suddenly appeared next to Patrick. He stuck something in Patrick's neck and was thrown back by some invisible force.

"Not yet Josh!" Doctor Walker yelled as my vision became spotted, "Leave him until the sedation kicks in! I don't need two useless helpers..."

Noise was becoming faint in my ears. There was a ringing replacing it. I watched helplessly as Patrick's eyes flickered and slowly closed. He fell to his side and that's when everything faded out.

~Frank's POV~

I held my hands just apart and let a ball of sparks form between them. When I thought it was big enough, I pushed it away and straight up at the ceiling. My lips curved into a grin as I watched the sparks collide with my white sky.

"Rad." I laughed quietly.

This was all I had at the moment. When I woke up, I was in my room and Gerard was gone. I knew he knocked me out to keep me from being punished, but I still held it against him. At least he wouldn't of been alone...At least I wouldn't of been alone...

I let the electricity dance over my eyes. I had to have been asleep for hours...But sometimes Gerard's gift worked differently for me. Sometimes I was out longer, which always freaked Gerard out. The first time it happened, Gerard had thought he killed me.

Our best guess was that our link somehow interfered. The more concerned for me Gerard was, the longer I was trapped in unconsciousness. Sometimes he could control it with the obvious method of the same way he sent me out, but when he wasn't around to make contact... It was less so.

I popped up from where I was laying on Gerard's bed and walked over to the door. I tried to turn the knob, but it was locked.

"Let me out, you fuckers!" I yelled, electrifying the knob with a single thought, "Afraid of a little lightning?"

I listened for anything. Hopefully the sound of someone screeching from my booby trapped knob, but there was nothing.

I slammed my hand against the door. I turned around and slid down against the door.

"Can't avoid this forever..." I mumbled, smirking as volt passed over my vision.

~Brendon's POV~

"Spencer! Fucking h-h-hell! Ge-et a grip!" I shivered. The room was absolutely freezing to the point that it felt like Antarctica Spencer had turned an icey blue color again.

"I'm sorry! I-I don't even know why I'm sp-p-pazing!" He tossed me the blanket from his bed.

I gratefully added it to my blanket burrito layers.

"I kno-ow it has to b-b-bee difficult Sp-pence but h-he-ell." I sneezed.

Spencer was a really cool guy, but sometimes he was too cool. His abilities had started out of nowhere, and he wasn't fully in control of them yet. Hence why he was discovered and caught.

"J-just-t-try breathing." I told him.

He was sitting across from me on his own bed. He was unaffected by the chills he caused, except for the occasional shiver. He closed his eyes and tried the calming method I suggested.

The incident from yesterday had freaked him out. He had nearly froze me into a popsicle during the night.

"I'm so sorry Brendon..." He said lowly as he breathed out. Slowly, but surely, he was returning to his normal color.

"You've j-just-t gotta learn t-to control it.vit tak-kes time." I smiled reassuringly to him.

He smiled back. Eventually the room began to warm, but I stayed in my Brendon burrito.

"I have a bad feeling..." Spencer trailed off.

"About what?"

"Something bad is happening..." He shivered.

I was quiet. One, I was trying to get warm. Two, I kind of agreed with him. Then again, this place constantly gave me that feeling now. They didn't take me for testing very often, but it always exhausted me afterwards. What they did was always fuzzy in my memory, but what I did know was that I slept good afterwards. I did wake up with fresh bruises, but never visible on my arms for the others to see. Nowhere near compared to Pete's injuries...

I hated seeing my best friend like that. After all we had been through together trying to escape these sick bastards, it seemed like they were finally punishing us for it.

"Guess you can't keep running forever..." I sighed quietly.
