It just came to me, that now all my friends, including George, will know about Draco and me. I couldn't help but feel a little worried.

"Everything okay?" Draco asks me as he tightens his grip on my hand.

"Uh... yeah, I'm fine." I didn't want him to know my worries. If any, I should be happy abut this, that's why he did it.

"Okay, well I'm going to head to the dorms, I guess I will see you later?"

"Alright, I guess I will see you in Hogsmeade tomorrow," I reply.

He nods then bends down in front of everyone and kisses me on the lips. As he pulls away from me a smile appears on his face. He was so enjoying himself. He tells me goodbye once more then turns and starts towards the stair case.

"Oh yeah," he says coming to a stop.

I look up at him, "You might want to bring a lot of money tomorrow," he states causing me to narrow my eyes questioningly.

"Since you need to buy a dress for the dance and all," he explains still smiling.

A smile of my own appears on my face, "Does that mean you're asking?"

"Well you definitely won't be going with anyone else," he concludes as he then turns away again.

Excitement shoots me; I am going to the dance for sure now and with Draco.

I walked in a daze back to the Gryffindor common room.

I'm unbelievably happy at the moment that is until Hermione ambushes me.

"What in bloody hell is wrong with you?" she yells.

I look at her shocked, "What are you talking about?"

"Why Leianna, why would you date someone like him?"

"Hermione, I like Draco, and you knew I was seeing him," I explain.

"I knew you were meeting hin occasionally, I thought you were just having meet ups, I didn't think you were that naïve Leianna to start dating him."

"I'm not naïve," I state.

"Yes you are, you know what kind of person he is and don't think for one second he has changed," she says, "You are nothing to him, just a play thing to occupy his time till a new one comes along.

"Hermione don't act like this to me."

"You need to listen to everyone Leianna, we know him, he's playing you and you don't realize it!" she states.

"I love him," I blurt out.

Her eyes widen and she takes a step back, "You're kidding me."

"I'm in love with him Hermione." It was true, I felt it to my core, I had fallen in love with Draco.

"I can't believe you Leianna," she says shaking her head.

"I understand your concern for me, I appreciate it, but I can't help it, I love him," I tell her smiling, "You don't know him like I do, you don't know the person he truly is."

She reaches out and touches my shoulder, "I am concerned, I don't want to see my friend with her heart broken. You really need to be safe and careful around him, don't let your guard all the way down."

"Thank you for the advice," I tell her, "I'm glad I have a friend like you looking out for me."

She hugs me tightly, "I love you, you're one of my best friends."

"I love you too." She lets go of me and smiles, "Let's go study, I need your you help with a few questions."

I let her pull me along, all the happiness I was feeling earlier vanished.

******************************************

The rest of the day didn't get any better. Everyone other than Hermione, Harry, Ron, and Ginny shunned me in the common room, I was a traitor to them. It also didn't help that now everyone was saying I broke up with George because I was sneaking around with Malfoy. So now I was a traitor, a whore, and god only knows what else they were calling me.

I sat on the couch on the verge of tears. There is no way I'm going to my room till everyone is asleep; I don't want to hear it.

I lay my head on the arm of the couch and gaze in the fire. Why did it have to be so complicated?

I feel the couch move as someone sits down beside me.

I lean my head to see who would actually come to sit by me. I knew the only people that was willing to talk to me was off doing God know what, so who would want to sit with me.

It was George, he sat looking straight ahead into the fire like me.

"Let me guess, you heard what everyone is saying," I say turning my head away from him to stare back into the fire.

"I heard," he replies, "I came just to see if you need someone to talk to."

I look over at him, "Seriously?"

"Seriously," he says smiling at me.

"I can't believe you of all people would want to talk with me, I thought you would be upset."

"I'm not going to lie and say I am okay with it, but I still want to be friends with you Leianna," he replies, "And friends are there for one another."

"I was us friends too, I'm glad I can still call you that."

Silence feel between us and I decide to break it, "So what have you heard exactly?"

"Does it matter?" he asks in return, "I wouldn't worry about what others are saying."

"I'm just curious."

"Can I ask you something though?"

"I guess you can," I reply to him giving him my attention.

"Do you really love him?" he asks completely serious.

I look down; it felt kind of awkward to reply to that, given our history.

"I think I do,"

"You think you do?" he questions.

"I know I do. He's really changed George, he's not the same person you all think him to be," I explain.

That causes him to chuckle, "Oh that's hilarious, I can see him now smelling flowers and kissing babies," he says laughing.

"Oh shut up," I say smacking him.

"It's amusing, I just can't see him like that."

"Well he is nice now," I state crossing my arms.

"Whatever you say darling," he replies.

I roll my eyes at him. I 'm happy he came down to talk with me, I miss him. It's still weird though, us being friends but I was willing to work with it.

I hate to shop for dresses, especially when the person you are shopping with is a guy.

"Draco will you please help me,."" I whine.

He looks up from a newspaper, "It's nice," he says shortly before turning his attention back to the paper.

"Ugh this is ridiculous, how am I supposed to pick the best if you won't help," I say frustrated.

"Well maybe because I am a guy and I don't' find it fun to look at thousands of dresses," he states, "Why don't you get Granger or something."

"Why can't you be the one to help, you are my date after all."

He puts the paper down and gets up.

"Leianna," he says wrapping his hands around me, "I think you look beautiful in anything."

I smile at his compliment.

"So will you please pick one for crying out loud," he adds making me frown.

"Ass," I states as I push him away.

He chuckles and sits down again.I sigh in frustration and walk back inside the dressing room.

I begin looking through the stack of dresses that I had narrowed down to my favorites.

I pick up a pink strapless dress and slip it on.

I reach behind me to zip it and my finger doesn't even come in contact with the zipper. I arch my back to see if I can stretch my hand further but it didn't help.

I sigh for the hundredth time, I need a dress with no zippers. I seem to not be able to work them properly.

But then I feel someone zip the back of it up. I turn around to come face to face with Draco.

"What are you doing?" I ask him.

"I heard you huffing and a puffing so I was curious," he replies, "And see I helped."

I turn back around to take in my reflection.

"You look beautiful," he says wrapping his arms around my waist.

I smile at him through the mirror.

He kisses my neck softly, and my body acts out of instinct. I lean my head over exposing my neck more.

He brushes my hair back and kisses my neck again.

His grip on my waist tightens and I reach up running my hand through his hair. It was so easy for me to lose myself when he kissed me like this.

He trails more kisses up my jaw line and I turn my head so his lips could meet mine.

Our kissing session is cut short when we hear someone shuffle on the other side of the curtain.

He drops his hands from me and pushes the curtain back.

Hermione stood on the other side, "I came to help my friend," she says to Draco.

She then looks at me, "That is if you want my help."

"Of course I do," I exclaim, "Besides Draco sucks at it."

"Thanks," he says to me flatly, "I guess I will leave since I am not needed anymore."

He kisses me quickly and walks away.

"I still can't get over the fact you are with him," she says as she watches him walk out of the store.

"Well what do you think about this dress?" I ask her changing the subject.

She looks at the dress, "it's okay," she says, "But I don't like the ruffles at the bottom."

"Me either," I state, "Come look at the others," I say motioning her to come inside.

After about 20 more minutes we both decide on a light blue dress.

"I love it," I say turning to see the back in the mirror.

"I love how it wraps around your neck," she states as she picks up my hair so we can get a better look.

"So have you found a dress?" I ask her as I undo the gown.

"I don't think I will be going."

I slip the dress off, "But you and Ginny were talking about it," I state, "I figured you would be going."

"I never said I was going, just that you should," she replies.

"But you have to, I want you to, this dress isn't' that expensive and I have a lot of money left over. I will buy you a dress," I add.

"I don't know, I haven't even been asked by anyone."

"That doesn't matter, "I retort, "You don't have to have a date Hermione."

"I know that."

"Well then it's settled, I will buy you a dress and you will go," I insist.

She smiles at me, "You sure?"

"I'm positive; now let's find you a gown." I tell her excitedly.
