I held the tv remote in my hands, pressing onto the button with an arrow pointing up.

I was skipping through channels in order to cure my boredom. I still had ten minutes before I should start walking to school anyways.  Groaning, I stretched my arms and legs, hoping the time would past quickly. It's not like I liked school anyway, it just gave me something better to do.

Suddenly, my phone started blaring with an alarm sound.

Funny, I don't remember setting an alarm for this time?

I reached for my phone on the coffee table and flipped the screen to face me. I stared at the screen and read the notification curiously.

An amber alert?

Rubbing my eyes, I quickly sat up on the couch to see if my eyes were lying to me. I have never had an amber alert before. Yeah, crime happened in the poor areas especially, but there were never amber alerts since the police didn't care that much. They favored the rich rather than the poor and give half assed investigations. This means some rich kid had gone missing then.

I clicked on the amber alert and instantly identified the picture of the missing kid. Well, the pictures of the missing kids.

Those are the kids that gave me my tic tac toe scar.

My heart stopped for a second and for some reason, my breath became unsteady. Do I feel bad? No, no, no, I shouldn't feel bad for them. They obviously got what was coming to them. Either way they probably ran away, right ? Wait, they don't issue amber alerts without a way to tell the kids had been kidnapped or worse.

I glanced at the time. I had one minute before walking to school.

Sighing, I turned off the tv and stood up. I slipped on my outside shoes and slid my phone into my jacket pocket.

I guess it's better them than me, but I should be careful.

I opened the door and was greeted by a small neatly wrapped present on my doorstep. It was a white box with a cute red ribbon tied into a bow at the top. This is awfully weird. I pulled one of the ribbons from the bow which unraveled and fell onto the floor. Slowly, I opened the box.

It was an expensive ointment that was supposed to get rid of old burn marks and a small little note too.

I picked up the ointment, analyzing it to make sure it's the real deal. I should look this brand up and make sure everything is alright. It could be some prank planted by the rich kids again.

I reached for the note and read it carefully, trying to see if the handwriting was familiar.

"Hey (Your Name)!

I took care of everything for you, but
I bought this so you can take care of yourself too.
I felt like it would be odd if I just gave it to you in person for a specific reason.
-an admirer"

I smiled to myself.

Maybe Raiden did this. It wouldn't be odd anyway since he has access to everyone's addresses and personal details. I'm guessing the specific reason would be the fact that he's a teacher too, so it matches up.

I placed the present box into my house, grabbed my bag, and closed the door, locking it.

I looked up onto the hill leading to school and all the rich families. Maybe life isn't as bad as I thought. Karma sure has a way to pay people back.

I griped the strap of my bag with a smile and started walking, admiring the scenery. Even if the rich people had the most toxic and disgusting personalities, they sure as hell know how to garden! The rose bushes and trees surely gave this place a good atmosphere.

I'm almost halfway there and I'm not even contemplating on going to school today. That's a new record!

I slowly walked up and noticed someone crying under one of the pretty trees. They were curled up into a ball, his head buried into his knees and his arms covering his face, leaning on the tree for support. Their cries were silent, but I saw tears slowly escape from the guarded position he was in and drip down his leg.

It was Logan.

His honey eyes were glazed with tears and his nose was bright red. He wiped his tears away every few seconds and sniffled.

I started walking faster, determined to see who was the cause of it and to comfort Logan. As soon as I stepped closer, I saw Ray again with Liam's friends, but no Liam. Oh, I am so mad now. Way to ruin my good mood earlier.

"You are so lucky Liam's boyfriend isn't here to save you now!" Ray yelled.

Is he talking about me?

Oh he had done it now.

I ran up to Ray with my hand clutched into a fist. Before Ray could turn around, I swung my fist at him in fury.

Though, my fist never made any contact with anything. A hand gripped onto my wrist and I tried to pry it off angrily. The grip tightened to the point where my my hand went numb. I looked at the person that stopped it and glared at them harshly.

It was blueberry pancake, Liam,

but he wasn't mad at me. He was mad at Ray.

"What the hell?" I whispered for Liam to only hear.

It seemed like Liam didn't even hear.

Before I could say something else, Liam pulled my behind him and raised his other arm,

and punched Ray.
