Kaira's POV:

Finally! The week came.

I tapped on milkshake's number on my speed dial and dump on my bed, face down in pillows.

"Aye bunny! How long you took this fine afternoon?"

I grinned in my pillow "Milkshake, I'm going this weekend!"

"Already? I thought you'd go in next."

My head snapped up eyebrows crunched "No way. I'm not waiting for another week to pass, you know how much I miss him."

"I know" I could feel his smile as he said, "Do tell him I miss him."

I grinned again and hid my face in pillows.

"Its been 3 months milkshake." I whispered "So long."

He just laughed on another side.

"When are you coming back?" I asked as I come out of my house of pillows.

Oh yeah, this idiot went to Delhi without informing me! I so am looking forward to meet him so that I can teach him a lesson or two!

"I don't know, I promise I'll be there for your engagement. Arav Bhai is going to kill me if I don't show up, especially for helping him."

I chewed on my lower lip contemplating whether to tell him about Ritz or not.

"I know right" I decided against it.

I'll tell him sometime later, I'll have to first convince Ritz.

"What's wrong?" He recognizes immediately.

Damn it! He knows if anything is going on with my voice! Why did he have to be my best friend again?

"Is it your Sidharth? Did he do anything...?"

"God! Why are you and Bhai behind that poor soul? He is treating me nice, I don't have complaints against him."

I feel him smirk through the receiver when he said "Nice huh? How nice exactly?"

"Respectfully nice." I replied rolling my eyes.

"So what's on with him lately?"

"He calls in the evenings usually, he is dedicated to his work, you know and I like that about him. Unlike other people he knows what he wants."

"Bunny, not this now, please." He sighed, a hint if frustration in his breath.

"Then when milkshake? You've been avoiding this for 2 years now. Please, you need to think about-" I say sitting up on my bed.

"When I come back!" He interrupted "Just not now!"

I sighed, no point in arguing over it now then.

"Hey, Why don't you ask your Sidharth to accompany you?" he suggested after a min of silence.

Sidharth, he would like that place, moreover, he would know about him.

I grinned as I jumped to my feet "Oh my God! I didn't think about that. Do you think he will come?"

He chuckled "He might, as you tell me, he likes to spend time with you then he will. Plus you can get to know each other more. 2 days bunny, a load of shit to deal with in that much time!"

My face bright, I nodded to my reflection in the mirror "I'll call him right away, hang up!"

Laughing he did and I dialed Sidharth immediately.

"Hey, Sidharth!" I greet the moment he picks up "Am I disturbing?"

Its work hours, I should make sure he is not busy, right?

"Not much." I felt a smile in his voice "What's up with you?"

"Oh, nothing. I was taking a break so, called you. Did you have lunch yet?"

It was already time, right?

'Stop beating around the Bush already!' My conscience snapped.

"In a while, I have to finish some reports before that."

"Okay. Oh, by the way, do you have a holiday this Saturday?"

"Honestly, I don't really take holidays... I can take it if it's necessary."

"Oh." My voice dropped low "I thought you'd be having weekend holidays, that's why I was wondering if you'd want to accompany me on a small vacation to get out of here, people make me loose my mind, I swear! And there is this place I wanted to take you, you'll love it! But-"

"Kaira Shetty are you asking me out?" he interrupted teasingly and my ears warmed.

"No! It is a weekend break hangout. Plus you are busy so I guess I'll be going alone." I told him sincerely.

"About that, hold on." He said before I heard his voice as if from far away "What do we have scheduled on Saturday?"

Probably asking his assistant.

"Reschedule meeting with Maidens on Wednesday, put Allies' on Tuesday, and others in the same week." I heard him instruct to this certain someone.

Was he rescheduling his schedule to come with me?

Damn Kaira! Why do you have to disturb him in work hours!?

"Sidharth! You don't have to do that. It's okay-" I protested immediately.

"Do it and let me know." He ordered once more before he came back on my line "It's not okay. I'm coming with you. Now, where are we going?"

"I don't want you to reschedule your timetable to accompany me. I asked if you were free!"

"Now I'm free, are you going to tell me where we are going?"

This guy! Why did he have to be so...

'Sweet?' My conscience offered.

No! Stubborn!

'And sweet...'

No no no! He is a stubborn peice of ass!

"No, I'm not. Its your punishment, you won't know where we are going." I tell him, pissed at my inner turmoil.

He had the audacity to laugh as he asked "You are punishing me for wanting to come with you? I do want to take a small break with you, will we be away from people?"

"Nice try but I'm still not telling you where we are going. I'm punishing you because you are going out of your way to make yourself free. Look, Work is important and I don't want to come between it, it makes me feel guilty."

I felt him smile as he said "You don't have to feel guilty about it because you are not coming in between. I'd do that anytime in a blink of an eye. You are my priority now."

You are my priority now.

Unnaturally my cheeks warmed up at that statement.

"Well, I'm okay with staying second in your priority list if first is work and family." I smirked.

He laughed "Kaira, I won't put you second, you are family now. Well, not officially but to my heart you already are."

My breath hitched at his confession. Shaking myself out of thoughts, I concentrated on replying him.

"Well, don't get too cocky about it, I'm still not telling you. I'll tell you something else though. Get 2 pairs of clothes, pack tiffin, as much food you need coz we won't be getting any food to eat except for fruits that is, get your swimming goggles, you can carry anything else you want, as long as you can carry it around. It can get cold so if you want, carry a jacket."

"Kaira, where are you taking me? Are you sure its a safe place?"

"Of course not. I'm taking you in woods so I can kill you and fry you over a bonfire to make myself dinner. Didn't you know? I like meat."

He laughed. I smiled.

His laughter is so adorable.

What I wouldn't give to see him right now. I sighed.

"Okay, I'll get all those things. Anything more?" He said when he finally stopped.

"Oh yes, you must have a bicycle, don't you?"

"Ya? You want me to ride it?"

"Yep. Bicycles. We meet on the Mumbai-Pune highway at 5 then. Saturday."

"Morning?"

"Naturally. If you don't want to miss the sunrise, be on time. I for sure don't want to miss it."

"What is it you are planning, Kaira?" I heard him murmur.

I smirked "Not telling. You must go back to your work then, I'm done."

Bidding goodbyes we hung up. I slide on my bed and grinned at the ceiling.

I'm coming back.

Along with Sidharth, this time.

By the evening I was jumping around (not literally) telling Shreya about my plans.

She smirked as I told her about Sidharth accompanying me. Finally, after letting my excitement down, I was in my room packing my bags.

"You know its just Wednesday today and you are going on Saturday, right?" Shreya asked from the door where she stood with a first aid box.

"Yes! I can't help myself." I grinned at her as she handed it to me.

"Is she taking the first aid kit?" Came my brother's voice as he entered my room.

When he saw me packing it he smiled, pulling Shreya towards him and dropped a kiss to her cheek.

"How was your day?" She asked leaning against him.

"As always, boring without you."

I rolled my eyes as they go on romancing in front of me.

"Shoo, get to your room before you start undressing each other."

My brother mumbled something and left, Shreya smacked my head slightly before she went away blushing.

I leaned back towards the headboard.

I don't get this, they are married for more than 5 years now, they even have a 3 yr old cutie. What's behind her being shy?

I'm sure she is anything but shy in front of him. What's wrong with in front of me?

Anyway I like teasing them so I'm going to continue.

I resumed my packing. Once I was done, I kept it under my desk and picked up a book.

●●●●

On Friday night, I was tired from the excitement rushing through my veins as I jumped around and talked around for god knows how long. I informed Ritz about it as well, only because he was planning on catching up this weekend.

But I didn't tell him about Sidharth going with me. God knows what he will do if he knows, I couldn't help but shudder slightly.

'2 days alone with a guy you just met? What the heck were you thinking kiri!?' Ritz's voice in my head scolds and I wonder if it had paired up with my conscience.

Do I trust him enough? 2 days is not a joke! Plus we will be alone, no humans around...

'Puh-lease! Don't act like you don't know self defense, if anything happens, you will at least have a reason to say no to Arav Bhai.' Milkshake's voice snapped.

But I doubt if I want to say no! Have I started trusting him already?!

'Take this weekend as a test. On your trust. On him.' My conscience suggested.

Agreeing, I let my body rest on my bed and was fast asleep. I was harshly woken up by my alarm clock saying its 4 am already.

Lazily, I make my way in the hot shower and let the warm water take away my laziness.

Quickly putting on my 3/4 jeans and a comfortable swimming t-shirt I make my way in the kitchen to make some tiffin for me to carry.

Finishing my job I pack my bags and leave a note on the dining table, informing about my leave.

Time to go!

At exact 4:58 I was there waiting for Sidharth to arrive.

It still seemed night, the only source light was of street lights. I relax on my bicycle taking in the fresh aroma of morning mist and the peaceful harmony of the breeze brushing the trees, imagining the route we have to climb.

Soon I open my eyes at the sound of bell tinkle, to see Sidharth observing me fairly amused.

"Hi." I greet smiling.

"Hey." He replied with his trademark smile.

"Lets head on there." I say directing my bicycle to the east gearing up until I'm few fleets ahead.

I speed up and call back "Hurry up! We will be late if we go at this pace!"

The next second he is by my side calmly riding on his.

"So are you telling me where we're going?" He asks cutting through the aura of silence.

"Nope. You've waited for 2 days, an hour is not more." I smirked at him. He groaned softly.

On a cue, we reach the woods.

"Here we go!" I call as I change my gears to climb up the slope, darting from left to right and vice versa rushing past the trees. From the corner of my eye, I see him doing the same, keeping up with my pace.

After a few moments of excitement; dogging many trees, roots, stones, and small craters, we reach the next part, a grassland.

I beam at the sight, directing us towards a narrow lane bordered by terrestrial grasses.

I check my watch, 10 mins to 6! Oh no, we gotta hurry. Speeding up thrilled, I couldn't see a pebble in the middle of a crater and trip, collapsing flat on my right.

'Can't you be a little careful?' My conscience scolded.

Sidharth was immediately by my side helping me up, his concerns if I'm okay, I nod hurrying back to my bicycle.

'Look at that! You don't even appreciate the person who cares! What are you!?' It scolded again but I couldn't care more, this was normal after all.

At the perfect 6, we make to the cliff. I park my bicycle and go sit at the edge hanging my legs down. He copies my steps.

"Now let's take a little break here, okay?" I ask with light excitement in my voice. We've been discussing anything and everything around us while we cycled, now was the peaceful time to enjoy nature.

He narrows his eyes on my dangling legs and whispers "Get that one up."

I look up confused just to find him glaring at my wound as he says "These wounds give rise to infections, we better clean it at least."

"Yeah, but I better not waste my water over that. Look..." I stretch my arm pointing down the cliff at the river underneath "When we go there, I could wash it up, OK? Chill out." I flash him a smile at the end, in reply he just grunts.

What was his problem? Or he just cares more? But why?

Soon the sun started to rise. I nudged his arm gesturing at the beautiful scenery unfolding in front of us.

The sky turned the mixture of the hues: red, orange, yellow with a tinge of blue. The water underneath shinning as there were crystals in them at the reflection of the rising sun.

"Beautiful isn't it?" I voice gaping at the sky clicking snaps with the camera of my eyes.

"Yeah. Beautiful and refreshing."

Taking in a breath of fresh air of woods along with different types of sounds of birds, insects, animals, waking up with the sun. I get up.

"Let's go to the next stop." I offer dusting my hands.

He gets up too carrying his bag he moves towards his ride but stops as I call out "We are not taking them any further. We can't climb down those rocks with them."

He nods and comes by my side and asks "Right, how are we going down then?" I smirk and show him the rope.

His corner of lips tugged up encouragingly and I move past him to go near a tree, tie it tightly to its trunk so it could hold both our weights and come back to my position throwing the rest down the cliff, I mock my eyebrows at him.

He gives me boyish grin "I'm going to love these 2 days with you and your plans."

I catch the rope tightly before sliding a bit down into the cliff and wink "Follow me then."

Soon we were to reach the ground, rope ends and I jump down 7-8 feet and land safely on my knees, he followed effortlessly.

How often does he workout again? Leaving all body weight on arms needs practice!

We move a little forward till our feet touch the cold lake water. I let my bag slide on the dry surface and bend down to clean my wound as promised and he gives me an approved smile.

"So, how many times have you done rock climbing?" I asked suddenly.

"Quite a few." he shrugs but a question is on his tongue that I answer.

"I do these quite frequently, like once in a month or 2, whenever I get time."

"Really?" He sounded impressed.

"Yeah, I actually had a fear of heights, more specifically of hills. I wanted to overcome it so badly, I used to convince my friends and brother to accompany me. Now that I've overcome it, I actually like it so I do it frequently." The memory came out smoothly. So smoothly I wondered why did I even tell him.

Its natural with him, memories spill out like an overflowing cup.

'Secrets too.' My conscience complained 'You have to work on it, Kaira.'

He gave me an understanding nod as he tells about some minor fears of his. Like he felt weird to walk barefoot on wet grass when he was young, how he overcame it and now walking barefoot on grass is one of his stress relievers.

We were getting ready to leave when I passed him a waterproof cover for his bag smiling "Here, you'll need."

He took it looking at me confused as I put on my swimming goggles.

"Come on, aren't you coming?" I ask as I move knee length into the lake while he covered his bag.

"We are going underwater?" he mocked amused.

"Yah! What did you think? Come on in!" I raise my voice to be audible as I go deeper ready to dive in when I turn to look at him.

He was only in his pants. His T-shirt went into his bag as he folded the ends of his tracks. His toned upper half body adorned with perfection in every sense of the word. His muscles flexed as he folds the other leg's end.

Why?

Why did he have to be this hot? Why didn't he be someone I wouldn't want to live with?

But now, neither want this marriage off nor do I want to run from relationships anymore. Why does he have
