We soon reached the palace and I was excited to see Aarthi and empress's reaction.

"You want me to carry you to our room?", His voice came up.

"No. I think Tamizh will do it. I'm a burden to you anyway.", I said mocking him.

"No. You aren't. I'll carry you to our room.", He said.

"If anyone dared to talk bad about my sister, I'll slit their throat and take back my sister to her palace.", Tamizh said and Arjun turned his head.

"What if it's empress or his wives?", I asked earning an angry glare from Arjun.

"Don't involve my mother. It's the last time I'm saying you this.", He said pointing both me and Tamizh. I got up from his lap and rested my head on the seat.

My head was hurting badly. My body was aching. His lap was more comfortable than these silk seats. But, I'm angry at him. He is only supporting his mother. He doesn't really care what bad deeds she is doing.

"You don't really care what your mother does. Am I right?", I gutted to ask him finally. He stayed silent.

We got out of the carriage. Arjun once again carried me in bridal style. Tamizh was holding the grip of the sword ready to slit the throats of people.

"Just take your hands off the sword before I take my sword.", Arjun said while carrying me inside.

As we reached inside, I saw the empress and Aarthi chitchatting while eating fruits. I smirked at her as I held Arjun more closer and tighter to my body.

They both stood up shocked. They trotted towards us angrily as Tamizh took out the sword from his scabbard.

"Why did you let this bitch inside?", The empress yelled. Arjun gave a pleasing expression to Tamizh to put the sword back to his scabbard. Tamizh didn't..

"Well. Arthi, tell our guards to take the guards immediately to our palace.", Arjun said distracting them.

"What? Why is she here first of all? Answer me and I will tell the guards to get the doctor.", Aarthi was gritting her teeth in anger seeing me.

I looked at Tamizh and winked signalling him to threaten her which was unnoticed by Arjun. Suddenly there was Tamizh's sword's sharp edge was on Aarthi's throat.

"Tamizh!", Arjun yelled.

"Nor your mother or Aarthi doesn't want her here. I don't think she'll be happy here. Send her with me.", Tamizh said. I could see an unreadable expression on Arjun's face.

"But, I'm there. I can take care-", Arjun was cut off by Tamizh

"You can't. You really can't."

"Let's talk about it later. She's sick now and I'll take her to bed.", Arjun said and Tamizh nodded without any choice.

He took me to his room despite the voices of Aarthi and empress calling him. He didn't listen to them now. He placed me gently on bed and it was heavenly to rest my head on a pillow. I sighed as I closed my resting.

"You feeling better?", He asked and I shook my head slowly. I am a lot tired now. But, I can't sleep. My body hurts everything. My head feels heavy.

A soldier came in and Arjun ordered him to bring the doctor. I saw Tamizh standing on the doorstep. It was assuring that I'm safe. I feel protective. I wish I had a brother like this when I was in my timeline so that he could protected me and Ramya from father and mother. I smiled gently at him.

"Don't worry. I'll be staying here for two days. I won't let you alone inbetween wolves.", Tamizh said.

"You didn't ask me if you could stay here.", Arjun grumbled at Tamizh.

"You didn't ask Thara if she wants to stay here either.", Tamizh said and it was true. He looked at me. I'm still angry at you, Arjun.

"You want to stay here, right? You forgave me, right?", His voice was pleasing. I don't want to say no.. but-

"No"

"I can do anything for you to forgive me. You know how worried and scared I was yesterday? When I can't find you at the place I left you and your kingdom, you have no idea how I felt. For the first time in life, I felt lifeless."

"But, you left me there. You know there will be no cart or carriage will be available."

"I promise, I don't know. Why did you got inside the forest when you know the whole route?"

First of all, I knew you only for a month. How would I know your whole kingdom's map?

"Uhh.. I thought it would lead a shortcut. You left me in halfway and it will take days to reach my palace..", I lied.

"I'm so sorry..", he apologized sincerely while Aarthi and empress came into the room. Tamizh was again having his hand on the grip of the sword.

"Arjun! You are not supposed to disrespect my commands like this.", The empress yelled.

"But, she's sick-"

"I don't give a damn about it! Just chase her out of the house! Don't you remember her calling me with names?", She yelled again.

"But, she's my wife.. how could I chase her out? Even if I do, what will people talk about me? They will say I'm a cruel person who chased away his wife."

So, he's keeping me inside this house only for what people think about him?

There was a sudden hurt flashing through me. I wish I didn't come with him back to his palace. I should've gone with Tamizh.

"She's not worth your care, Arjun. She called our empress with names, cheated you to marry you and many more.", Aarthi said. She was trying to manipulate him.

"I know who's worth and who's not. Can you tell me are you worth it? You have bullied your own sister several times, your mother tried to kill Thara's mother, you tried to marry her off to an old man who is a womanizer and many more.", I said and she shut her mouth.

"You can't talk to Aarthi like this, Arjun. All she did was because Thara deserve all this. She doesn't even deserve to live and you're saving her life. Let her die!", The empress yelled the last sentence.

"Enough", Arjun's tell echoed through the room and it made me flinch.

"You can't talk like that about my main consort. Remember, she's my wife now. She deserve everything. If I become a crown Prince and soon a king, I'll accept only her as the Queen of my throne and heart. She deserves to be a Queen."

"You're crossing your limits. How could you tell at your mother like this?", The empress asked angrily.

Meanwhile, the soldier came with the doctor. I hope he gives leaves which cure my fever soon.. the empress blocked the doctor's way.

"If you treat her, I'll kill you..", the empress seethed at the doctor. Tamizh raised the sword on her throat.

"If you don't let him treat her, I'll kill you.", Tamizh warned. There was worry in Arjun's face. Ofcourse, no one likes to see their mother like this.

The doctor checked my temperature and asked my symptoms which I've answered. Still, Tamizh was placing the knife on empress's throat and she was quiet and scared.

He was finally done checking me and wrote some herbs which can cure me. He also said Arjun to try to reduce my body temperature by giving wet wipes.

Tamizh lowered his sword as the doctor left the room and Arjun handed the piece of paper which doctor have written to the soldier. He ordered to get as many as they can.

"You're supporting a girl who's brother kept a sword in my throat?", The empress asked with fake tears which was clearly visible to me.

"Be thankful that I didn't slit it.", Tamizh said. It was a savage reply. My head was hurting worser. Why don't they finish this conversation and leave?

"Well. Now, my sister wants to rest. Can everyone get out?", Tamizh said and I'm thankful for that.

"I won't go. Maybe you can take her with you.", The empress said.

"Fine. Give me that paper, Arjun. Maybe I'll get the herbs on the way of my palace."

"Wait. No. She's not leaving anywhere.", Arjun yelled at Tamizh.

"Then, just tell them to get out of the room. Can't you see she's sick? She wants to rest!", Tamizh yelled back. Arjun looked at empress and Aarthi who was determined not to leave.

"Mother, please- we'll talk outside.", Arjun said and they shook their head.

"It should be done now.", Aarthi said with a wicked smile on her face.

"Don't test my patience, Aarthi. I won't hesitate to kill you.", Tamizh seethed. Aarthi ignored.

My headache was literally killing me. I would've never came here if I knew I would face something like this. There were yelling and arguing which worsened my headache.

Tamizh dragged the empress and Aarthi outside and locked the door inside. They kept knocking the door which was annoying.

"Now, sleep.", Tamizh said and Arjun's full focus was on the door. He was probably feeling worried about his mother and Aarthi. Anyway, he loves Aarthi and only Aarthi. The words he said before, he doesn't mean it and I knew that.

But, the knocking of doors were literally worsening my headache and I couldn't sleep. I want peace right now. A peace that would fade my headache. Arjun sat on the bed near me where Tamizh took the couch.

Arjun kept a cloth piece inside my ear which slightly reduced the noises created by knocking of door. I felt better. I closed my eyes. Slowly the noises in the background disappeared. Sleep consumed me.

I felt something cold on my forehead which made me shiver. I woke up and saw Arjun wiping my forehead and hands with wet cloth.

"How long did I sleep?", I asked in doubt.

"You slept for about 3 hours.", He said and continued wiping. I felt a little better. I saw Tamizh sitting on the couch in the same position. I also noticed that there were no knocking sounds were heard anymore.

They must be probably tired of knocking..

"Are you hungry? Shall I bring you soup? You have to drink tincture after you're done eating.", He said and I nodded.

"I'm hungry. I last ate yesterday's breakfast. You left me there to starve. Right?"

"I'm sorry about that. When I hurt my hand, I was beyond mad. I'm so sorry."

"Shut up. You left her starve. Just accept it.", Tamizh's calm voice came up.

"I'm talking to my wife. Better not intrude in our conversation.", Arjun said and turned to me.

"Why you don't like my brother?", I asked innocently.

"Because I hate him.", He said and turned my head.

"It's not an acceptable reply. Just spill the truth.", I whined.

"Well. When we were young, we used to fight a lot. One day, he pushed me on a well. I don't know swimming when I was young. And I almost died. And when I tried to start a conversation with you, he being a protective brother always tried to keep you away from me. Since then, I can't talk to him normally or friendly."

"The well thing was just an accident. About that conversation thing.... Well, I did it on purpose. She was just young and I don't want anyone to talk with her. I was protective and it's not really wrong.", Tamizh explained.

Arjun ordered maids to bring food and the food was very simple. He said it will easily digest and I reluctantly finished the plate.

Then, they gave me a tincture which was made of herbs to cure cold and fever. I finished the glass and laid back on the bed. The notable fact is that Arjun and Tamizh have never moved from their placed since I came here..

My English exam is over and it was awefully easy. I never thought the question paper would be this easy..
