JAELYNN POV

You know I've been with Elijah for a while now and I always know when he's up to something. He's been very nervous lately. And for some reason no one wants to tell me what's going on.

"Baby, get dressed we going to go eat with Jillian and Renzo" Elijah said. Raising my brow "all of a sudden?".

"What?" He asked.

"Uh Huh. If you say so" I said. He shook his head grabbing is sun glasses and walking it the room. I mean I was already dressed anyway. Grabbing my purse I met everyone downstairs. "Y'all are up to something" I said. Everyone sucked their teeth "what are you talking about? We hungry!" Jillian said.

"Okay... don't tell me" I said. Elijah rolled his eyes and got into the car. When we got to the restaurant we had to walk a good distance since Elijah wanted to park so damn far away.

"Let's not forget I'm carrying twins and you have me walking blocks!" I said. Elijah was too into his phone to even respond to me. "Okay just ignore me".

"What happened?" He said.

"Nevermind now. I could've said my water broke and you wouldn't have heard me" I said. Just looking at his broad back all I wanted to do is... no Jaelynn relax. Down girl!. This is why your pregnant in the first place.

Jillian walked in and saw how nice the place was. She grabbed me and asked Renzo to take a pic of us together. But when you ask a guy to do anything they always manage to fuck it up. When he showed Jillian the picture she was completely out of it. We both looked at Renzo shaking our heads.

"What?" He asked.

"You can't take a pic of the both of us? You literally took a pic of Jaelynn!" Jillian said.

"Damn my badd" He said.

Looking at the pic it wasn't as bad.

"Just save it as usual. But next time we do a selfie instead" I suggested. Elijah was pacing around like he was so nervous. What the hell is his problem?. Walking over to him "are you okay?".

He nodded "yeah, why?".

"Oh I don't know because you're acting weird" I said.

"Nah I'm good" he said. He pulled out my chair and then sat down himself. Zahrie was too busy coloring what they gave her. "Who's hungry cause I know I am!" I joked.

"When are you not?" Renzo joked.

"Why don't you worry about learning how to take a picture the right way..." Renzo sucked his teeth "Jillian you better come get your girl".

"She's right though" Jillian laughed.

After we ordered the waitress brought us some bread and butter. Elijah was too busy in his own world. I didn't even bother to disturb him. I saw Renzo just glance at him every now and then. Hmm...

When our food came me and zahrie was all clapping our hands in excitement. She may be a daddy's girl but she acts like me down to a tee. Elijah smiled when he saw us getting happy when the waitress was placing the food down. "This is why zahrie is my girl" I said. She smiled and stuffed a fry in her mouth.

Elijah cleared his throat "Jaelynn you know I love you, right?".

Mean mugging him "I know you are not about to come out and tell me something stupid like how you cheated on me. Cause I'm about to grab this knife and take you out. I can't deal with all of this stress".

"Jaelynn relax, and I'm asking you do know how much I love you, right?" He asked again.

I nod "why?". Looking at jillian and Renzo who shrugged their shoulders. "Well I wanted to thank you for being there for me. Even when we were going through it with Alexis you stuck by me. We been through some shit over the past two years. And you been there exception of one time when you moved out. But otherwise you are my rock and my back bone. You're like a guard dog. You bark and bite anyone who messes with me or zahrie".

"Damn right... wait did you just compare me to a dog?" I asked.

"Shh... I'm not done. You changed me for the better. Showing me a different side of what the world can give you. Along with blessing me with our daughter you are soon to bless me with twins. I can't thank you enough. Not having you by my side is something I can't even think of. So I wanted to ask you..." he got on his knee and pulled out a red velvet box. "Would you marry me?".

Jumping up and down "oh my gawd! What?!. You guys knew about this!!!! Yes!!! Yes!!!! Slide that ring on this finger, boy!!!". Feeling tears coming up. Elijah slid the ring on my finger and I cried "You want to marry me?!. Even though I'm crazy?!".

He nodded "I dealt with worst before. And you're only crazy because you love hard". Leaning in we kissed each other. "I love you".

Trying my best not to ruin my make up. "I love you too! Oh my gawd look at this ring? Lord it's holding down my finger. I think I might have to start doing finger weights to hold this up" I joked.

Elijah smiled "and well you're funny too". Fanning myself from crying. Zahrie clapped her hands in excitement "yay! We get wedding cake" is all she said. The whole table laughed at her comment. "That's my girl" I said.

Now I have to plan a wedding. Now the stress begins. And I'll need extra damn security. I feel a bridezilla coming on.
