First of all- wow, thank you so much for sticking to the end of 《You Promised》!!

Honestly, I never expected these many readers when I first started publishing this book 😂😂 Seeing the count grow day by day was (still is) a thrill 😌✨

I've actually read all of your comments and replies, and I mean every single one of them - something I look forward to all the time 👀 cuz they really make my day 🤩🤩

It's kinda funny how the idea of this book came flowing into my head when I was in the middle of an exam week 😂😂 (no, I did not do well in it oops-) But I ultimately decided to put it into words was after one particular TikTok edit LMAO-

And no, initially, I did not decide to publish this story on Wattpad. (Glad I did, though 😀)

Let me just say the reason this book is angsty-and full of tears towards the end-is because my emotionally-lacking self was trying to feel something oop- (didn't really work for me but oh well) But I soon realise that I caused wayyyy too many tears on you guys instead 😭😭😅

I wonder if you noticed: in Chapter 84 'calm before the storm' the line hinting Timothy's death was '...unaware that this was the last time she would be hugging....' whereas in Chapter 86 'fate' about Mark's wellbeing was '...unaware that that could be the last time she would see him healthy.' 😏😌

In Chapter 90 'you promised', there was a line near the end: 'But for one more time, she needed to listen to his beating heart.' I used 'one more time' instead of 'one last time' -wordplay is fun 🤩😀

Here's a (kinda) easter egg: Mark's room number, 3006 mentioned in Chapter 88 'promise, and sealed' is actually Norah's birthday date 😌✨ (DD/MM format; cuz I use that.)

Also, since the beginning of the story, I've been changing the plot like- a lot of times (I have 5 drafts in total lmao) - so here's my original original plot:

The beginning is pretty much the same, until S6 - I originally stripped off Mark's kid from this book, then added it back because I need the chapters for character/relationship development (some of you might remember me taking down then re-uploading the chapters lol)

Sofia was supposed to be Callie + a random hook-up, but I wanted to involve Timothy more in the book (also from the votes from loooong before) so Tim became Sofia's dad 😀

As I mentioned in an A/N before, the Sloarie baby storyline was a random '3 am adrenaline boost' idea 🤣🤣 Originally, the miscarriage still happens at the plane crash chapter, also I initially planned for Mark to die lol-

Then, Sloarie wouldn't be married, and they do not have a child, just as they wanna build a family, Mark dies; Norah would be losing everything in a blink - IMAGINE THE ANGST 🤩

But I decided against it cuz it'll be boring(?), with pure evilness to cause tears HAHAHHAH

Also, baby Sloarie was supposed to be a difficult pregnancy... but the amount of research I did successfully tossed the idea off my head 😂😂💀

Oh, and the only reason-kinda-that Mark is alive in this fic is because of yet another adrenaline hormone that got me to write out the wedding bonus chapter in a day... but I had no place to insert it between the storylines - hence, Mark Sloan stays alive 😌😌 (But of course, I couldn't not make you believe that he'll 😵 😈😈)
