Nayeli's eyes fluttered open at 9:30 exactly the next morning. She yawned to herself, wanting to go back to sleep, till at least 11, but before she could close her eyes back, Armani came in the room, shocking her. When she fell asleep last night, she was sure she wouldn't see him till tonight, which is why she tried so hard to stay up.

She remembered him coming in last night but she barely heard anything he said, she just felt the bed dip and she was gone after that. She was happy he was here nonetheless.

He came in his room with a tray. There was a plate with a huge Belgian waffle on it, and a separate plate, with crispy bacon and cheese eggs on it, because he knew she hated when her syrup touched her eggs.

"Good morning, beautiful," he smiled and leaned in to kiss her.

"Morning," she half smiled, rubbing her eye. "I didn't expect to see you this morning, I would have looked cuter," she joked, leaning up against his wall.

"You look gorgeous, baby," he laughed. "But, I had the day off, finally, so I figured I'd treat my girl," he said, flicking her nose. "You deserve it,"

"Thank you, baby," she grinned. "You're the sweetest. Come sit with me," she patted the bed.

"I would, but I gotta grab the mimosa before Duck drinks it, and the strawberries. I'll be right back mamas, enjoy," he winked before rushing back out of the room, making her laugh. She was so happy he was here, he could have woken her up out her sleep and she wouldn't even be mad at him.

Well, maybe a little.

"Okay, I'm back. He drank it, so I had to make another one," he shook his head and sat a glass in front of her as well as a plate of cut up strawberries.

"I appreciate it, babe," she smiled, taking a sip of it. "Ooh this is good," she pulled back the glass to look at it. "How much champagne is in here?"

"Not that much," Mani laughed. "I'm not tryna get you drunk yet mamas," he smirked and Nai laughed after him.

They laughed together and talked while she ate her food, and afterwards she took s quick shower and brushed her teeth. She also took care of her skincare and took her hair down from the bonnet, tying it up instead. She changed into some house shorts and a sports bra since she didn't intend on coming out of that room again until after noon.

"So baby," Armani said once she plopped back into the bed, and straight into his lap like always.

"Yes?" she asked, looking up at him.

"I um...I just wanted to talk to you about something, mamas," he cleared his throat. She sat back up, turning to face him instead of facing the tv and crossed her legs.

"I'm all ears, babe," she assured him. He rubbed the back of his neck and sighed before he began speaking.

"I'm sure you noticed, um, ever since dad passed, my mom's been kinda struggling to adjust to normalcy and working full time again," he began, and she nodded. "I been working a lot more, as you know, just to support her when I can and prepare to adjust to us paying bills and whatnot. I've kinda been feeling really—stressed I guess? Stressed and really tired all the damn time—which isn't an excuse. I know you're not the happiest with me right now, hell you probably mad,"

"I'm not mad babe—" she tried to say before he gave her a face like he knew she was lying.

"I haven't been around. I work all day long and I barely see you, you been doing shit for our wedding alone. I just can't let my mama drown, you know? She just got thrown back into being a full time worker again and I-I just wanna help her out the best I can. But I can feel myself slipping, like I sleep way more than normal, I don't eat as much, like I said I barely see you anymore and I feel like I'm gone snap eventually and that's not what I want," he sighed.

"But what I really wanted to do was apologize to you, baby. I just did all this decision making alone, I been working hella crazy hours for two months straight, I-I didn't even ask you how you felt about it, I just left you in the dark about it and left you by yourself to deal with it and that was wrong. As your husband I should be including you in important decisions like that, and as my wife you shouldn't have to be fighting for my attention against anyone or anything. So I sincerely apologize,"

"I accept your apology, thank you," she smiled. "I want you to know that I understand why you're doing it. I'm not upset because you're supporting your mom until she's back on her feet completely, because as her son you feel that's your responsibility and I really understand that. I just...I'm a little scared," she admitted.

"I don't want you working yourself to the point of exhaustion, or dehydration or anything that could land you in a hospital bed. I want you to slow down for your health, papa. You won't last long working like this before you snap, like you said. You can bend and break, I know you wanna be the man of the house and I respect that—I admire the way you want to take care of not only your mom but me. But you are a human being. A man is still human and you need to take care of yourself, Armani. You can't give pour into anyone if you are empty, okay?

And we're about to be married I'm here to help you. If you need something please ask me. I like to be useful too," she smirked a little bit, making him chuckle. "I like knowing I can help out in our relationship whether that me monetarily or otherwise. I'm not your girlfriend anymore, papa. I'm about to be your wife. Your partner in crime and all that good stuff. Just don't forget I'm here," she said.

Armani just looked at her for a second, he didn't understand how she had all the answers like this. She constantly knew exactly what to say to get his mind right, no matter what it was they were discussing. She was like peace of mind personified.

"And, also, I don't mean to sound selfish but it does kinda suck that I don't get to spend time with you anymore. I think that's the worst of it. I never wanted to seem all bratty because you sleep more and I don't get to see you, but I can't help it, it makes me sad when I have to go without you," she toyed with the hair that lay on her shoulder from her ponytail.

"I know baby, and I'm gonna try my best to not let that happen again. You don't deserve that, not with the way you've been supporting me, you deserve all the time I got," he said, making her smile. "Also, you're allowed to be selfish when it comes to me, I'm yours, aight? You my brat," he joked pulling her arm so she'd come towards him.

"I love you, Nayeli," he spoke, pressing a lingering kiss on her lips. "I'm gone make this up to you,"

"I love you too, Armani," she smiled dreamily, getting comfortable in his lap. After a few minutes of them just laying up, she felt something.

"Don't mind me," he chuckled nervously, and she bursted into laughter.

"How long has it been?" she asked, turning to him and straddling his lap, making him bite down on his bottom lip.

"Two weeks...and six days. But who's counting?" she shrugged, making her jaw drop.

"W-we haven't had sex in a month almost?" she said, shocked. She thought it'd be two at most. "I don't believe you, it cannot have been that long,"

"Last time was I believe the weekend after the funeral, in the shower when—"

"Right! Okay, I remember," she giggled. Duck almost caught them in the shower, and she was still kind of embarrassed about it. "So...whatchu tryna do?" she bit at her bottom lip, speaking in her normal soft tone that drove him a bit crazy, causing him to smirk and tighten his hold on her waist.

"I'm tryna rearrange yo shit, I been missing fat ma," he chuckled, watching her eyes get wide. "What? You asked,"

"You're so nasty," she laughed. "And why you keep calling her that?"

"Girl why the hell not? You got a—"

"Okay! You don't have to explain, I understand," she covered up his mouth and blushed hard. After four years she still hadn't gotten used to how explicit he talked, she was constantly caught off guard by it like he hadn't been doing it since they were in college.

"Lemme go tell Duck turn that tv up, I'll be right back," he said, making Nai laugh again as he sped from his room.

"So my TT was telling me, she likes the black and grey idea, she likes our gold fixture choice," Nai said, munching on some strawberries while laying on Armani's chest later that night. She was catching him up on everything that had been going on with the house since he'd been busy. "Also my daddy said we can start moving our stuff in on the 20th,"

"The 20th? That's in two weeks, that's crazy, baby. We finna be homeowners, only paying utilities," he laughed. Having an architect as a father in law really had perks, he was coming to learn.

"Right?! It'll help us budget so much better, since we're only doing those and our HOA fees, we'll be able to have a solid savings and all that grown up shit," she chuckled. "Being an adult is very ghetto, I do not like it here,"

"Man me either. Breathing cost my ass a hundred damn dollars," he complained, sounding like somebody's grandpa. "I told you I needed my wisdom teeth removed? Man if I ain't have insurance I would have just had to suffer bro,"

"Not suffer," she laughed. "I can't wait to record you acting a fool off that medicine,"

"You better not," he chuckled. "How's work though, baby? Your coworkers still treating you good? You got two clients right?"

"Yeah, Eric and Landon are hilarious, especially when their girlfriends come to the office they steady tryna show off and Cierra always exposes them," she shook her head with a laugh. "But yes, a little girl named Kaitlyn and boy named Damien, like my uncle. It's taking him a longer time to warm up to me, but he's getting there. Kait is super sweet, she reminds me if Mila,"

"Uh...Camila is evil,"

"Don't talk about my sister in law, Armani," she narrowed her eyes at him.

"My bad," he chuckled. "But that's good mamas, I'm glad you're enjoying it there, I hope you continue to. I know how much you love this profession,"

"I really do. Hopefully, God willing, one day I can have a practice," she sighed dreamily. She fantasized about owning an agency for years, but she knew it took years of hard work, dedication and networking. But, she believed if she kept in her course that one day she could be an entrepreneur like her parents were.

"Hell yeah you can. We both finna be our own bosses down the line, and we gon have a big ass house like your family and have hella kids," he snuck the last part in there, hoping she wouldn't notice.

"Hella what? I'm not giving you more than three," she stated, shaking her head.

"You say that now, till you see how perfect and angelic our kids finna look," he replied confidently.

"The three of them will be gorgeous, I'm sure,"

"What happened to and a possible?" he laughed, watching her try to be serious as well.

"And I'm possibly not having no more kids Armani, duh," she chuckled, making him laugh even harder, even though he knew how serious she was.
