Armani woke up from his sleep, to Nai groaning, and seemingly talking in her sleep. His eyes shifted over to her quickly, and she was still sleeping, so he knew she was probably having a nightmare. She'd had a particularly bad day today, and she was nauseous all day long. She couldn't keep anything down. She just drank ginger ale and some toast he made her.

"Wake up, Nai," he spoke, voice coated in sleep still. "C'mon mamas, wake up," he shook her slightly, making her whine. "I know baby, get up for me," he sighed, rubbing his hand on her back. She slowly woke up from the dream, eyes cracking open.

"Mani?" she mumbled, turning to her other side and moving toward him. He sat up a little against the headboard and let her get between his legs and lay on him. "It was bad," she sniffed.

"What happened, baby?" he asked. She wasn't still dreaming about Hailee, he knew that. She had finished her grief counseling, and was doing better in that regard. He knew she's always remember her, but she wasn't still holding on. She was excelling at work once again, he was reminded of when she first started working.

But, she was becoming much more anxious due to her pregnancy. She was nervous about being a mom and being able to care for her baby sufficiently. She often worried about delivering her daughter safely, making sure the house was going to be safe for her, and other things. Things that would seem miscellaneous to other parents were very big deals to her.

"S-somebody was trying to take her, and—and I couldn't get to her. She was just crying and screaming and I couldn't help her," she sniffed, wiping at her face. "I'm sorry Mani,"

"Stop apologizing, Nai," he sighed. He hated when she apologized over things she literally couldn't control. "Nobody's gonna take her okay? Nobody is gonna be able to get to our baby or you. I'm here, nothing is gonna happen to her. As long as daddy got y'all, y'all good, right?" he asked, kissing her forehead.

"Yeah," she nodded, calming down slightly. He always made her feel so safe and secure, she always felt like when she was with him, nothing could happen to her, he wouldn't let anything happen.

It was one of the things that made her fall in love in college. One of the only other people who she could count on in her life to bring her security was her dad, and for him to do so, and so soon after meeting him was amazing to her.

After a little while, Mani's arm stopped moving on her back, and she knew he fell back asleep, luckily he wasn't sitting straight up, so his neck wouldn't be hurt tomorrow, if she stayed here all night. She probably wouldn't for the sake of his comfort.

"Just me and you up now, princess," she smiled slightly, rubbing on her stomach. She was six and a half months pregnant now, and her baby was growing healthy. They had picked a name for her, and they were gonna wait till her baby shower, which was in a week, to tell everyone.

Her dad was begging to know now, because he wanted to get the baby a gold plated bracelet with her name engraved in it, in typical Gionni fashion. Doing the absolute most, but Nai loved it.

She was most excited to make her siblings aunts and uncles. They were so excited she was having a baby, especially Ajani and Omari. At the gender reveal, they were so pressed to tell Nai they knew she was having a girl.

Omari was calling her over constantly, or whenever he came to visit he would spend a large amount of his time under his sister, talking to his niece, who he called Pumpkin. He was 16 now, and she was officially the short big sister, he was nearly 6 foot, and so was Ajani.

Nai laid on Mani's chest a little longer before deciding to move and let him get some space to sleep. As she tried to move, she felt his arms lock around her in his sleep, making her smile. "I'm just gonna let you lay down, papa," she said quietly to him.

"No," he mumbled. "Stay right there,"

"Okay," she whispered, the smile never leaving her face.

"Look babe, isn't this precious," Nai cooed, looking at a little coat for the baby online. It was Saturday now, and they were spending the day together. Weekend's together were something they promised not to compromise, whether that be at home, with their friends or family, they wanted to always spend one day out of the weekend together since their jobs were both so demanding.

"That is cute," he chuckled. "Why you keep buying yellow clothes for my baby?" he asked.

"Because! Pink is so played out, papa. She's gonna be a diverse baby. Yellow, lavender, baby blue, you know, variety. Mommy can't have her mini me out here in only one color, we have standards," she explained. She could not stand when babies got dressed by their gender.

Which is why she allowed Armani to buy her Jordan's, already.

"Right, my bad," he laughed. "How you feel today?" he asked, laying his hand on the back of her neck.

"Better, definitely. I hate that it's flaring up so much now," she sighed. "I asked my therapist if I could get back on my meds after I have her, I have a bad feeling it's gonna get worse when she's actually here,"

She had only ever been on anxiety medication once in her life as an early teenager. She was having panic attacks far too frequently and Gionni asked her therapist back then if she could start on them. When she was a kid she was on medication for her migraines but never her anxiety.

"That's smart, baby. Although I do hope it doesn't get worse its good you're taking precaution," he said. "You excited for your shower?" he asked.

"Absolutely, my mama is so extra, and she plans the best baby showers. My TT Rayne had my God sister and my mama had a damn air balloon in there for Cici, and fake clouds all over the floor, it was so cool," she gushed.

"I can't wait to see what she got planned for lil mama then," he smiled, moving his hand to her belly, causing the baby to kick. "Hey daddy's baby girl," he grinned, making Nai laugh. The baby was so responsive to him all the time.

"Mi princesa loves her daddy," he continued, leaning to press a kiss to her stomach, feeling a soft push against his fave. "Estoy impaciente por conocerte, te amo ya, (I can't wait to meet you, I love you already)" he mumbled to her, making Nai's heart skip a beat.

They stayed in that same position for a while, Mani laying in Nai's lap, poking her belly every so often and Nai just watching tv, playing with his ear, until his phone rang.

"Wassup broYou deadass?! Aight...bet we coming," he said, sitting straight up. "Bri water finally broke," he said, exciting Nai.

Bri was overdue about two weeks, they were getting ready to induce her if she didn't go into labor on her own. They were all literally waiting on this call.

"Aww my niece coming!" she cooed, getting up off the couch. "Can I go like this? I don't feel like putting clothes on,"

"Nayeli," he sighed, trying not to laugh. He never told her what she could and could not wear, but just wearing his t-shirt outside was a different story. "Put some pants on before we have to fight,"

"You can't even see my butt, Mani!"

"Nai—girl put some damn clothes on,"

After successfully getting Nayeli in some real clothes, they made their way to the hospital to see Bri and Tripp.

"She's pushing already?!" Nai asked, squeezing her way between Josiah to sit next to her best friend, making Josiah straight face her, and look over at Mani, who just laughed at him.

"Yes! Tripp said she was already at 9 when they got her in a bed. That baby say she got somewhere to be," Lea laughed. "Teedy baby in here chilling huh?" she cooed, rubbing on Nai's stomach.

"She sure is, mama ain't moved since we left home, I think she's sleeping. But if Armani brings his ass over here touching, I bet she get up," she chuckled.

"That's a lil daddy's girl already," Noon chuckled. "You never had a chance sis,"

"It's sad, really," Nai agreed, looking over at her husband, laughing and talking with Duck and Josiah. "I love him," she pouted.

"Lord Jesus, here she go. Them hormones really ain't no joke, huh?" Samara laughed.

"They really aren't. I tell him I love him every second, I cry when he says it back. What kinda shit is that?" she rolled her eyes. "Like I literally can not help it. And y'all know he's a huge flirt, man—this nigga could wink at me from across the room, instant waterfall. It's ridiculous,"

"That sounds fun," Noon snickered.

"You would think that, freak nasty ass. How I get pregnant before you?" Nai laughed.

"She's an angel," Nayeli cooed, finally getting her turn to hold the baby.

Brooklyn Giselle Carmichael was born on June 16th at 1:44 P.M. , weighing approximately 7 pounds and 6 ounces, measured at 20 inches.

"Hi pretty girl," Nai spoke to Brooklyn who just laid in her arms, bundled up with her eyes shut. "Wow," she sniffed, feeling herself tear up.

"Baby don't cry," Mani said quickly, rubbing her back. "Why you crying?"

"She—she's so cute! And so small," she whined. Armani could really see the hormones working hard on her. She was already a cry baby, and the baby was making it a hundred times worse.

Bri and Tripp laughed, recording Nai. They had been recording and taking pictures of everybody holding Brooklyn, for memory's sake. This was really a monumental moment for the two, who'd been together since their were fourteen to have baby. They felt like Brooklyn completed them.

"Lemme give her back, my emotions can not handle this right now," Nai chuckled, giving Brooklyn back to her dad.

They stayed around for a little longer, taking pictures with the new parents and of Brooklyn, she was truly being cherished as the first baby of the group. Nai knew her daughter would be loved just the same, and whoever had the first boy was gonna be happy.

They left around 3, heading straight to Nadira and G's. They promised to come over today, and they nearly forgot.

They were at Sofía's house the weekend before, and she made the baby some blankets, like with her hands. She was so excited to be an abuela, and Armani could tell. She was going to the DR to see her mom in July, and he just knew that she'd be bringing back a lot of jewelry home for her nieta.

They were at Farrah and Mia's house the weekend before that. Farrah was just as excited to be a grandma. She requested to be called Nana, because she thought that was a cute name. Every time they saw he, she had more gifts for the baby, and lots of advice for first time mom Nayeli.

Once they pulled up, Nai punched the code and walked in the house, immediately being greeted by her parents new dogs, Gucci and Fendi, who were twin pit puppies. The kids were all sad when their dogs passed away, and G couldn't tell them no, so they got new ones. They of course had to keep the designer brand dog name theme going.

"Hi babies! Y'all are so cute! Just as adorable as you wanna be," she cooed, picking them both up, walking deeper into the house. "Nayeli's here!" she yelled once she made it to the stairs. She heard feet coming toward the steps, and her siblings appeared one by one, greeting her and Mani.

And babygirl, of course.

"Wassup Pumpkin," Omari said with a smile, pushing into Nai's stomach to try and get her to kick. "You sleep or something? Play with me, man,"

"Boy," Nai laughed. "You disturbing her rest. How are you? How's school?"

"It's straight," he shrugged. "Homecoming coming up, practice been long," he sighed. He played basketball, just like everyone thought he would. It kept him busy outside of his art, and he enjoyed it.

"You going to the dance?" she smirked, making him laugh.

"Yeah, and I don't have a date, so please do not ask," he started walking away before she could, and she laughed too, knowing Amani would tell her if he was lying. She already asked G if she could go with the lil boy she liked and as badly as he wanted to tell her no, everyone knew he couldn't.

"Hey daddy," Nai sang, walking over to him and hugging him.

"Hey princess," he smiled. "You feeling okay today?" he asked.

"Better than yesterday," she nodded. Her dad knew she was struggling with her anxiety during her pregnancy so he made sure to check on her often. "Your granddaughter was being very active earlier too, but I think she's sleeping now,"

"My angel needs her sleep," he nodded, putting his hand on her belly. She was so happy her dad was excited for the baby. He was ecstatic actually. He was more ready to be a grandad than everyone thought.

Of course, not more ready than Nadira, but still very ready. Everyone was calling him Papa G now, and he thought it was hilarious.

"She better keep that same energy and sleep when she comes out too," she chuckled.

"You still ain't gone tell me her name? I got stuff to buy her," he sighed as Nadira skipped over, kissing Nai on the cheek.

"No, daddy! I'll tell you at the baby shower when everyone else finds out," she laughed.

"You can tell me though," Nadira said, smiling wide.

"No, I can not!" Nai laughed more at her parents. "Y'all come collect your nosy mama and daddy!" she called to her siblings.
