"Save me, Mugil, save me." Mugil made fun of Anu by imitating and laughed hysterically.

"So, I am your servant. Isn't it true? Whenever a difficulty comes, this Mugil servant should appear and rescue your family? What if the Mugil itself is the source of the problem?" Mugil shouted by clapping his hands.

Anu saw an entirely different Mugil in front of her. But she realized that he was the one who kidnapped her. Mugil, whom she knows, can't even speak louder. Anu always considered Mugil as a good friend and a family member. The reality had broken her heart, and she began to cry.

Mugil approached her and took away the plaster on her mouth.

"C'mon, let's snap some pictures for your husband to see."He said, and before Anu could respond, he slapped her hard on her cheeks. Her lips started bleeding.

"Perfect," Mugil said and started taking some pictures of her.

Composing herself, Anu questioned

"Why are you doing this, Mugil? Dev regards you as if you were his own brother."

"So you want to know the reason. Listen, ten damn years I was serving

Dev, like a shadow; I've been with him since his father died. My companion, my friend, he would tell everyone, yet I was always his servant. He and I are the same age. I squandered my entire youth working for him. Because of him, I lost my individuality. Even if I had started a modest business, I would have become the owner by now. But by spending years with him, I am known as his left-hand who runs errands. Does any working partner do this? Tell me, Anu?" Mugil shouted.

She tried to console him by saying, "But Dev trusted you as a brother."

"What trust, trust to do the chores; Go to the bank, Mugil. Inform the clients, Mugil. I was never given the respect I deserved. You arrived a few months ago, but he purchased a company in your name. Then your children will come. For them, I must likewise be a servant. Anu, I'm sick of this faking. I wasn't meant to be a servant to your family. I attempted to be friendly, but I was being used every time.

Enough with the drama; I'm ready for my own privilege. I wish to start my own business. You've recently become his lifeline. That's why I summoned you." He exclaimed angrily.

Anu couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her heart ached from the knowledge that he was acting the whole time. Suddenly, her thoughts turned to Riya.

"So your feelings for Riya are likewise fake?" Anu inquired angrily.

For a brief while, Mugil was stunned. His words clung to the back of his throat. He tried to be friends with Riya in front of Anu at first. Later on, however, he began to have feelings for her. Anu's question startled him. Composing himself, he answered.

"It's none of your business. Let's get this game started," he said and started typing on the phone.

Anu sensed his conflicted feelings. Despite his best efforts to hide his love for Riya, a trace of grief could be evident on his face. When it came to revenge or love, though, revenge blurred his vision. He was upset, though, by the thought of Riya rejecting him if she knew his true colours.

Whereas, in the Dev group of industries, the entire team was busy tracking all of the city's checkpoints. Dev's phone beeped with a message.

"I hope you've heard of me by now. Don't try to make a scene by involving the police. This is a private conversation between you and me. You guessed correctly. Yes, Anu is with me only. I'll text you an address, and you come alone if you wish to see your sweetheart.

If you ever tell the police, forget your Anu. Until then, some pictures for you."

With that message, Mugil had sent some pictures of Anu. Mugil had included some photographs of Anu. Dev's heart stopped beating for a moment after seeing Anu tied up in a chair with tear marks and bloodstains. The police approached Dev and inquired after seeing the changes in his expressions. However, he was able to come up with a few excuses. Only Anu was on his mind at the time. He calmed himself and replied to Mugil.

"Mugil, I'm not sure what I've done to cause you to act this way. Please don't harm Anu in any way. Anything you want me to do, I can do. Please provide me with the address. I promise I won't tell anyone –Dev"

Mugil burst out laughing after reading the reply.

"You see, your husband is willing to go to any length for you. So you're my ace in the hole."

Anu wasn't in the mood to respond to Mugil any longer. She'd not recovered from the initial shock. Her mouth was also plastered again. Mugil remained wary, despite Dev's assurances. He'd sent a different address and instructed his men to pick up Dev blindfolded and bring him to his destination.

Dev made his way to the location after making some silly excuses. His response, however, did not satisfy the police department. They decided to follow him without his knowledge. Everyone was puzzled when Dev didn't take anything with him. They anticipated him to take a check or cash with him if it was blackmail.

Dev, on the other hand, travelled alone in his car. Some policemen followed him in mufti in a car at an interval. Dev arrived at the location Mugil had texted and was waiting in the car. From afar, the cops were keeping an eye on him. Two of Mugil's men appeared out of nowhere in a van and approached Dev.

After confirming that he came alone, they tied his hands and blindfolded him. Dev was driven to Mugil's house in their car. Mugil had lately purchased that old mansion for his hideaway. The policemen spotted this and followed them without their knowledge. Dev's mind was racing, but he was sure that Mugil couldn't hurt Anu.
