"Alice! Mommy is gonna be reeeeally mad at us, you know?" A tan skinned girl whispered to the girl in front of her, as she was being dragged around helplessly.

"Heh! Diana, don't worry~ We'll be back before anyone even notices we're gone. Besides, mom is still on her trip, remember? She won't know anything" The said girl chirped in response, as she continued dragging the other girl by the hand.

Alice's creamy white hair, and the timid Diana's dirty blond hair swayed along the cold night winds, as they slowly slid past the main door.

Diana: "Of course no one will notice, it's 10 pm!" Diana whispered, with her sky blue eyes darting to all corners of her sight, hoping none of the neighbors were having an eye out for them.

Alice just chuckled in response, as her lemon green eyes stole a glance at her sister. There was worry inflated in her, yet she had no intention of defying her. Adjusting her goggles, she spoke again.

Alice: "Calm down, you are in my care now. I wouldn't let anything happen to you" She reassured, as she poked a finger at the tip of Diana's nose.

Diana couldn't bring herself to respond to Alice's annoying boldness, so she just remained quite. Not that she didn't trust her sister, its just the inevitable fear.

As they successfully sneaked out of their home, they had no trouble walking down the empty road way. A shiver crept down Diana's neck, as they went past their new neighbors home.

Diana: "Hmmm! But seriously, is the movie that important?" she squeaked. Not to mention they had to walk nearly a mile to get there.

Alice: "Yup! From what I heard, this movie is supposed to be scary as hell. What better way to watch it than like this! Am I right!?" She grinned, as her pace quickened.

There wouldn't be any cab services at this hour, so walking for almost a mile on an empty night was like calling for trouble. Not that she didn't trust her sister, its just that-

Diana: "Hiyaaaaa!" a shrill from her cut through the silence of the night.

Was it some molester? A pervert who was roaming around at the night? Or just some stray dog?

It didn't matter, as Alice's eyes contorted into a glare, and she turned around with clenched fists, ready to kill whoever it was-

The scene that greeted her, was Diana looking at her with watery puppy eyes, and quivering lips, as few strands of her hair was held up in the air........ By nothing.

At least that's what seemed like, for the darker skinned girl, as she couldn't see anyone holding her hair up. But Alice just scoffed and shot a glare at....... Them.

'They' just looked like bunch of 5 normal people, if saw from afar. One was a short black haired girl, with little to no emotion on her face. She wore a long white dress that blended well with her porcelain skin.

Actually, all 5 of them had the same porcelain skin ,black hair, and golden eyes with the same white dress, however, each of them were different in their own way. One being the little girl with no emotions, the other one looked like an exactly alike twin, however, looking more..... alive, and mischievous.

The other two were tall women. One had a tired look on her face, while the other was more active, and had a slightly more toned body.

The last one, was a teenager, with short hair. She was holding strands of Diana's hair, thus causing the tanned girl to freak out. After all, the only one who could see them was Alice herself.

"Rym! Let her go" Alice scoffed, as the teenage-looking girl named Rym let go of Diana's hair. She just shrugged it off and gave a smug look.

"what's the big deal, Alice? I'm just scaring her a bit" Rym replied, keeping her smug all present.

"Well, don't! I don't like it when she's scared" Alice snarled.

"Oooooo~ the mommy is angry!" one of the smaller twins grinned, giving another annoying smug.

"Shut up, Min!" Alice once again snarled, a visible vein popping up over her forehead. The other one of the twins was hardly bothered by anything, as she continued curiously gazing at her own fingers.

'Mel, get your sister to stop!' Alive asked the uninterested girl.

'Too much work. Waste.....' Mel didn't even bother to finish her sentence, as she went back to sulking.

Diana just silently watched, as Alice continued arguing with the beings she couldn't physically see. Had she not known about Alice and her unseen guardians, she'd have claimed her crazy.

But she knew they were real. Alice has proved it many times, be it with just toying with others, or perceiving other's thoughts.

For Diana, that's what made Alice so cool.

She just waited until the unseen conversation/argument was over.

Surprisingly, it was over lot quicker than expected, as Alice grabbed her and :

"Lets go. Anymore late, we'll be sure to miss the movie" she said, before continuing to drag her.

"Y-yeah......" Diana weekly muttered, as she let herself be taken. She didn't know what Alice spoke with her guardians, but she had a vague idea that it had to do something with Alice's mom. Her real mom.

The rest of the walk was silent, as Alice seemed to be deep in thoughts. Obviously, Diana didn't have audacity to question it. Even though the sourness emitting from her sister was almost challenging her to do it.

After a walk of 30 minutes, they finally reached the movie theatre, where Alice proceeded to buy tickets. Diana watched on, as Alice moved around the place like back of her home.

Alice came back to her with a grin, while flashing the tickets in her hand.

"Come on, I got the VIP seats" Alice winked, before they both made their way inside the not-so-crowded theatre.

"But, sis. Isn't it a bit expensive?" Diana asked innocently, wondering how she got the money.

"Don't worry. Its not my money" Alice stuck her tongue out with a wink, and shrugged.

"I'm not even gonna ask how you got it..."
Diana brought her hand to her face and sighed, not bothering to ask any further.

"Oh, but I will" came a third voice.

Diana froze on her steps, as her eyes widened. Alice just closed her eyes and shook her head. She took a glance at one of her guardians, the taller woman who was looking bored out of her mind, yet still managed to smirk at Alice.

'Don't tell me you didn't foresee this, Emil' Alice internally cursed at her smirking guardian.

'I did. But it would've been no fun if I told you about it' Emil answered with a shrug.

'Bitch......' Alice cursed again.

'there there, Ali~ no need to be~ upset' The last of her guardians, who was much taller and muscular than the rest spoke up.

'Shut it, lime' Alice glared, before letting go of the thought.

With a sigh spilling off her mouth, she turned around and faced the newcomer.

"Well well, look who decided to snoop around at night during my absence" the woman with dirty blonde hair said, trying not to show any form of anger in her tone.

"M-m-m-mommy....... W-why a-a..." Diana couldn't bring herself to say anything, as her mom looked on with a grin.

The dark skinned woman had her hair tied into a bun, and wore a formal office coat and suit. Giving off the feel of a professional. Not to mention her lean figure, keeping her attractive despite her age.
Her blue eyes took a glance at Diana, and then looked at Alice, who had caste her gaze to ground.

"I...... Its my fault. I was the one who dragged Diana with me, so-" She tried to reason, however was cut off, as felt herself get locked in an embrace.

She looked up, and noticed that her 'mother' had leaned down and taken her in a hug, along with Diana on the other side.

"Awww. Ember is sweet as always!" Rym cooed, which Alice just ignored and hugged her mother back.

"hmmmmm! Good god, these two weeks without even getting to see my girls were utter hell!" Ember whined, contradicting her mature and professional appeal.

Alice was slightly taken back by this, as she expected receive to a harsh lecture. Like any worried parent.

'Whatever....' Alice muttered to herself, before sinking in to embrace. Truth be told, Alice too missed her mother nothing less than Ember did her children.

Finally, Ember let go of them and stood straight, a faint smile still coating her lips.

"Y-you..... Aren't mad?" Diana asked, wishing it wouldn't let her mom have a mood swing.

Thankfully, it didn't.

"Hmmmm.... Nope!" Ember chirped, being too uncharacteristic of a mother as she's always been.

'I don't think I need to........ After all, I'm sure Alice took good care of you' Of course, she wasn't going to say that out loud. But sadly, she didn't know that one of Alice's guardians had the ability to read minds. And that the message had already been delivered.

'Why thanks, Min' she said, looking at the demon in disguise of a little girl.
'tho, I'd appreciate it if you don't snoop into my mom's privacy'

"Bah! You're no fun, little mommy!" Min scoffed.

Alice wanted to complain about what she just called her, but let it slide........ For now.

Turning back to her mom, she spoke again.

"Mom, how come you are here? What about your trip?" Alice asked.

"Well, thanks to my professionalism and years of work experience, we were able finish the project way before deadline." Ember said while proudly huffing her chest with grin.

Alice swallowed down a chuckle, and spoke again.

"Sooooo, how did you find us?" she asked.

"I didn't" the woman shrugged, as she pointed towards a cab.

Alice already figured the rest of it, as Ember continued.

"that cab I got on the airport, took this route. I just happen spot you two on the way."

"Tough luck" Alice snorted.

"Indeed" Ember added, before gaining both of her daughter's attention with starting off by saying "Now then, you two"

Diana perked up, and Alice just remained unfazed.

"I'm ki~nda tired from the trip, so I'm going home. You two wanna join, or are you gonna finish up with your movie first?" Ember asked, finally letting her fatigue show with a yawn.

Diana looked at Alice expectantly, too shy to make a decision of her own. Alice notice this and sighed before speaking.

"Well, I guess the movie can wait" she said, while slipping tickets into her pocket.

Had Ember been honest, she'd have given a feminine "yay!" out of happiness. But unfortunately, she had to behave like a mother. Diana just smiled at her sister, she too probably had the same decision on her mind.

"Welp! Lets go then!" Ember chirped, as she led her daughters into the cab.

The ride back was short, but nothing close to silent. Ember kept on bragging about her trip and her experience in it, and her daughters were more than just interested in it. Whenever Ember took on the topic of how she got hit on by men and women alike, Alice took on a protective font, and scolded her for being careless. Even though nothing happened.

Call it over protectiveness, or just possessive nature coming down from her real mother, Alice just couldn't withstand the fact of someone soiling her loved ones. Be it her sister, Diana, or her mother, Ember.
She grew up feeling their love, like a painful paradise built just for her.

She knew how someone, if influential, can change a person from inside, be it subtle or drastic. She was indirectly a victim of it herself after all.

So the thought of someone having their dirty influence on people she loved just....!

Along the ride back home, the cab driver had turned on the radio to eliminate his own solitary. Not that anyone listened to it.

On the radio news, there was an announcement that a group of criminals, mainly consisting of rapists had escaped from the local prison. And the news 'politely' asked the locals to stay safe.

After arriving, Ember went straight to bath. Sure, bathing in such late night was kinda...... Weird. But Alice didn't care much.

She went and knocked on the bathroom door, gaining a hum from other side.

"Did you have dinner?" Alice asked.

"Nope!" the woman replied "The flight was a bit early, so had to skip it"

"then, after bath, do you want something to eat?" Alice asked, wondering if Ember was hungry from her travel.

"Oooo~ What's in the store, mommy?" Ember asked, adding a teasing tone to her words.

"Hah! Mommy!" Min exclaimed, hovering right behind Alice.

Alice glanced at the little demon, ready to give off her glare. But she noticed that Min was the only one here, other 4 of her guardians nowhere to be seen.

'Well, maybe they're in my room or something......' Alice shrugged, Ignoring Min and focusing back to Ember.

"Bacon" Alice answered Ember's previous question.

"Nice~ I'll have just that!"

With that, Alice left to kitchen. Determined to make some tasty bacons. As she turned on the stove, Min sneaked up behind her.

"Sup, mommy?" she asked with a cheeky grin.

Alice just sighed and ignored her, continuing to place a pan over burner.

"But jokes aside, you really do care deeply for them, don't you? Like, an adult taking care of their spawns" Min added, taking on a more serious attitude.

Alice didn't respond at first, as she just continued watching the pan heat up. However, not wanting Min repeat herself, she answered.

"Yes, they are my family after all. More important than anything else" She answered, still not looking towards Min.

"Heh.... You almost speak like your mom" Min said, lowering her voice a lot.

"Well, Ember has always been kin-"

"I meant your real mother, Alice." Min interrupted her again. This time, uncharacteristic in her tone.

"....... You mean the witch?" Alice grinned.

"Alice!" Min yelled.

"Oh my~ So you do get upset after all" Alice mocked.

At Alice's words, Min grit her teeth. She swallowed hard, containing her anger.

For some time, silence passed. Alice just stood there, grinning at the upset Min.

Alice noticed that the pan had heated up plenty already, so she got busy on adding the bacon.

Shaking her head, and spilling out a deep sigh, Min managed to get back some of her composure. Straightening herself, she spoke again.

"Listen, Alice....." Min began.

"I know you were only 6 at that time, and I know that she basically had no time for you, but it wasn't her fault, dammit!" she lowly yelled, gaining Alice's attention.

"That disgusting cult always kept her fucking busy! It was those bastards fault........ It was their fault! They ripped off literally any money she had in the name of faith, and abandoned her!"

"..........."

"Loosing everything except you, it was impossible for her to raise you. But still..... Your mother.... Our mistress..... She loved you so much! And we are the proof of it"

"..........."

"We were her guardians, yet we still couldn't help her....... That guilt kills us to this very day. But your mother..... She passed on our ownership to you, so that you could be safe. So that you wouldn't be alone."

"............."

"And in order to do that, she sacrificed the very last thing in her possession, her life. She gave off her life, so that you could live a better one.......... You..... You should have seen her face when she left you at the orphanage. The pain on her face, as she knew she'd never get to see her child again. The pain of being mad herself for being stupid...." Min cried, with inky black tears trickling down her cheek.

"She had dreams.... Dreams like you and her would one day go exploring, dreams of having to spend a lot time with her daughter.... Dreams that she would be the best mother for you.. .. Do know how much she cried, knowing that none of her dreams would come true!?" she yelled, fully breaking down crying.

"That is why, I won't just stand by silently listening when you call her a Witch!"

"....... Just........ Just what do you want me to do?" Alice asked, flipping the sizzling bacon.

Min wiped her eyes, and straightened herself again. It wasn't often that she got emotionally work up like this, so it kinda wore her out mentally.

"I just want you to know, that even if Ember is the one that raised you, she is nothing compared to your Mother"

".....shut up....."

"always know who your real mother is-"

"I SAID SHUT UP!!"

Alice yelled on top of her lungs, startling Min.

Never has Min heard of Alice raising her voice, let alone yell. It was effective on silencing her to the least.

Her face was contorted into a scowl, showing pure hatred.

It was now Alice's turn to talk. And she was gonna silence this demon who-

"Alice?"

Her boiling rage, just as it was about to hit its peak, came to a halt.

A timid voice slid through the tension, getting Alice's attention.

"Oh......." Alice yelped, as she saw the figure peaking through the doorway. It was Diana, looking at her sister, scared. Her sky blue eyes were innocently gleaming with worry.

If looked closely, one could spot her shivering.

"W-what..... What is it, dear?" Alice asked, turning towards Diana, while gesturing Min to get lost.

"I-I...... You were.... Mad........." Diana spoke, internally praying that she doesn't upset her sister.

Feeling not so proud that she scared her baby sister, Alice took in a deep breath, and sighed audibly. Turning around for a second, she flipped the bacon, and turned back to Diana, who was standing rigid with a hand on door frame. She was wearing her teddy bear pajama pants, which made her so adorable that it would be a crime to scare her.

"Come here" Alice said, while gesturing the same thing with a nod.

Diana hesitated, tightening her grip on the wooden door frame. She gulped down, fearing if Alice was upset that she overheard them.

Alice spilled another sigh off her mouth and smiled gently. Maybe it was due to Diana's cuteness, that somehow, snuffed out the building rage in Alice.

The white haired girl took off her glasses, and gently placed it on the shelf. Turning back to her sister, she spoke again.

"Come here" She repeated herself, this time sounding more compassionate.

Without another word, Diana walked forward and fell on Alice's arms. In an effort to Comfort Alice, she hugged her as tightly as she could. Though, this only gained a suppressed chuckle from Alice.

'Haa~ she's just so adorable that I wanna eat her up' Alice thought to herself, before flushing red due to embarrassment on realization.

Wether meant literally or metaphorically, that was something that shouldn't be said out loud.

She peeled off the hug, and kissed Diana's cheek before speaking.

"I'm
