(Luna's POV)

I woke up this morning with a weight on my chest. I let out a soft groan as I slowly stretched to get off the couch without waking up Nadia. We must've fallen asleep during the movie we watched last night. "Hey where are you going?"

"We have school, and you know what Can't really be laid up like that anymore." I replied groggily. It was the norm for us especially because Nadia was so incredibly touchy but not while she was dating someone. It was too easy for the norm for us to be misconstrued in some way. "I'm not going to my classes." She grumbled. I just hummed an 'Mhm' while she buried her head under the throw pillow.

Midterms are coming in hot and I needed to take the day to study. It was exactly what I planned to do after class today. It was convenient that Nadia wasn't going to be carpooling with me so I didn't have to worry about her nagging because she wanted to leave.

It was foggy and wet outside today, but despite that I still pushed myself to get dressed. I put on a pair of black fitted sweatpants, a loose black sweatshirt and a My black puffer coat. I smoothed my hair into a ponytail that sat kind of low but not really it was like in the middle and I sprayed some curl rejuvenating spritz on it. Once I was ready I grabbed my bag and slid on my black and red Jordan ones.

"Be back around 7!"

I left my apartment quickly thanking the lord that it wasn't a complete downpour. It was just enough rain. The day dragged horribly and by the end of it I was ready to forget about studying and go home. But I knew that I couldn't. So I went to the library when classes were over but was turned away by the amount of people there. How was it possible for 5 floors to be completely full.

Next I tried the student center, but there were too many people in there. I sighed as I made my way to the college of liberal arts building hoping I would get to study there. As I walked up to the building in shuffled to get my phone from my book bag so I can scan my ID. because I stupidly wasn't paying attention, I bumped into someone walked towards me and dropped my phone. "Damn it, I'm sorry." I sighed as I dropped to grab it.

I looked up from the ground and my eyes widened when I locked eyes with familiar hazel ones. "Someone's in a hurry." Xavier smirked.

He reached down to help me back up. I didn't need it but I took it anyway. "Sorry." I sighed.

"It's okay. Where are you headed?" He asked.

"Trying to find somewhere to study. Everyone has the same idea as me and all the good spots are taken." I replied whilst rolling my eyes. The mere thought irritating me.

"You can come study in my office if you'd like." He offered. "Oh that's okay, I don't want to bother you." I waved him off with my free hand considering that he was still holding the other.

"I promise you wouldn't. I'm actually going to stop there for some papers, and then I'll be going to a meeting." He explained. "You sure you want me in your office without you?" I asked with a quirked eyebrow.

"I mean why not? I can trust you, right?" He questioned as his hold on my hand tightened a little. The intensity of the look in his eyes made me divert mine and I nodded. "Of course."

"Alright, so it's settled." He smirked. I held back a chuckle at his confidence and pulled my hand from his so I could follow him.

"How are you doing?" He asked after a brief moment of silence. "I'm good, tired, but good. You?"

"Exhausted. But I can't complain."

Silence fell over us again. He pulled the door to the CLA building open for me and let me go in first. I gave him a small thank you to which he nodded.

Riding the elevator with him was suffocating for some reason. I kept looking from my phone to the number displayed by the doors trying to figure out why it was taking so long to get to the fifth floor. "How was your date?" He asked suddenly.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked over at him. "Date?" I questioned. "The other day, at Agava..."

The sound of the elevator dinging and the doors opening pulled my attention away from him while a feeling of shock fell over me. He thought I was on a date?? I mean I guess it did look like it.

"That—that wasn't a date. Just lunch with my friend." I replied. "Noted." He replied.

The walk to his office was short and I stood behind him while he unlocked the door. Once he got it open the motion sensor lights flickered on quickly and he let me step inside first. "I'll probably be in my meeting for an hour maybe an hour and a half. If you have to go before I'm back just put the lock on before you go."

"Okay." I nodded. "Feel free to sit wherever."

I nodded again and took up residence on the small couch. His office looked clean as always and it smelled lightly of his cologne and air freshener. On his desk however, there were several stacks of papers all in near piles.

I pulled out my laptop as I watched his carefully move one stack to get some other papers from underneath. He moved the larger stack back into place and started looking around for something else. "I've really got to create a better organizational method." He sighed softly.

A small smile etched onto my face and a thought crossed my mind. "I could organize that for you—if you want. I mean I can do it after I finish." I offered. I nearly kicked myself for even asking.

"That would actually be great. But if you don't get the chance to, don't worry about it." He said. "Okay." I nodded.

He eventually found whatever he was looking for and stuffed it into a book bag. "I'll be back soon."

"Okay, thank you again."

"It's really no problem."
