Every night before bed we sit down and try to come up with names and so far we haven't found anything that we like.

The next morning I woke up and it's like the name hit me so hard that I had to write it down.

Madden turned around in the bed. "What are you doing babe?"

"A name hit me as soon as I opened my eyes and I had to write it down."

"Can I see what it is? Maybe I will like it too."

I showed him the name and he smiled. "Did you know that was my grandma's name?"

"Which one?"

"The first one." He smiled.

"The second one was my grandma's name. Do you like it?"

"I love it, babe!"

"Are we going to tell everyone her name or wait until she's born?"

"I don't think I can keep that from my mom Reyah. She will drive us crazy over it." He laughed.

"Well I guess we will tell them and now we can get her room decorated too."

"Yep Joey and I can get started on the room maybe this weekend."

"Yeah, I was going to invite them over because they are supposed to find out what they are having."

"Cool. Well you know we are having that party at the shelter today your mom and all our family will be there so do you want to tell the name then?"

"Sure sounds good. Yeah, I almost forgot. Guess I should go get ready."

I go grab the new shirts from the designs I had made at Christmas and slipped that on with some pregnant slip-on fake jeans and pulled my hair up into a bun.

I rode with Madden to the shelter and when we got there everyone was there.

"Hey, guys can I get your attention please?" Madden said.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and walked over toward us.

"We decided on a name this morning and we wanted to share it with you all." I smiled.

"Lay it on us sweetie I'm ready." Cheryl laughed.

"Yeah come on Reyah." Mom said.

"Her name will be Scarlett Evangeline Berlin."

"After your grandma Reyah? Your dad would love that."

"That's my mother's middle name." Cheryl smiled hugging me.

"How did you come up with it?" Chet asked.

"Actually we have been going back and forth over names but those were never in the mix and this morning I woke up and they were on my mind so I wrote them down and showed Madden and he loved them and then told me that was his grandma's name."

"Oh, I'm so excited! SEB is going to be great initials." Chet smiled.

"Are we going to paint that room soon Madden?" Joey asked.

"Oh yeah, we were just talking about that. If you have free time this weekend we can knock it out." Madden smiled.

Everyone stayed around for the party and once done we decided to go home and have pizza with Brynn and Joey.

"I can't wait much longer Brynn I need to know." I smiled over at her on the couch.

"Let me grab my pictures out of my purse."

"Are you sure you don't want a gender reveal as we had?"

"Nah we already know plus you know my mom is on another cruise and could care less and well his mom is in the nursing home now her dementia is so bad so we just decided to find out that day."

I feel bad for her because her mom has never really been a mom. She stayed with us more than she did at home.

When she walked back the doorbell rang so Madden went to go get the pizza and I didn't care I just wanted to know what she was having.

"Give me those!" I laugh.

She hands them to me and I really what it says on the sonogram. "Oh my god, you having a girl too??"

Brynn shakes her head and giggles. "I'm so excited!"

We hugged and danced around when Madden walked in. "What's going on?"

"It's a girl Madden! You both are girl dads." I laugh.

Madden high fives Joey. "I guess I can help you paint your room when you are ready." He laughed.

They hung around and drank beer even though we couldn't but we had mocktails and enjoyed our pizza by the fire.

"I love this house I wish we had something bigger because our little apartment isn't going to work with a baby."

"I will keep my eye out for you. Maybe you will find something soon."

"I hope so Reyah because I will start to panic."

"I think mom has a realtor friend so I will ask her for sure."

Once they left we cleaned up and headed up to the bed and both of the cats were curled up on the bed asleep.

"We had a good day didn't we babe?"

"We sure did and I'm so excited that they are having a baby girl too."

"I think you guys should have a joint baby shower that way she can get things too."

"That's a really good idea Madden. I'm sure my mom and your mom will want to plan that."

"Oh I'm sure of it and your mom will cook."

"You know it." I laugh changing clothes and try to get in bed without moving the cats.

"Umm, I think you are going to have to move them, babe."

"No look at them! They look so comfy how can I? Just let me get in on your side of the bed." I laugh.

I crawled across the bed to his side and by the time I laid down, they both moved.

Madden laughed and laughed.

"Hush you! That was a workout for me with this belly."

"I love your belly babe. Scarlett your daddy loves you very much." He kissed my belly and I couldn't help but smile because I know Madden is going to be the best daddy he can be.
