Tonight is New Year's Eve and I can't wait to celebrate it with Reyah. We have beer and wine and cakes, cookies and food all thanks to Libby.

The next morning I woke up and went downstairs to start the coffee and hell it snowed so much last night.

Reyah walked down a little while later and looked out the sliding glass door and her eyes got big.

"Look at all the snow!" How are we going to the festival today?"

"I'm sure your dad's four-wheel-drive truck will get us there."

"Oh yeah, I always forget that Madden. I bet we will need to pick mom up. She has all those cookies for her booth."

"You might want to call her babe."

"Oh yeah, I better." She said sipping her coffee.

Once off the phone, she laughed. "Mom was about to call. Jerrick shoveled the sidewalk and busted his ass but they are ready when we are."

"I bet that was a funny sight. Yeah, let's shower and get ready. May take a while to get there."

Once dressed and ready we headed to pick up Lib and Jerrick and made a drop off at the animal shelter to pick up the leashes and things that Shirley makes and we sell every year.

"Thanks for picking us up guys!" Lib said.

"It's no problem as long as I get a free cookie."

"Of course you can Madden. I made you and Reyah your own bag."

"Thanks, mom! This is breakfast."

"Did you stay up and watch the ball drop?" She asked.

"We did how about you guys?"

"Jerrick and I watched it drop and he danced with me into the new year."

"Jerrick that was sweet of you." Reyah smiled.

We pulled up and Jerrick and I carried everything in for our booths and Reyah and Libby got everything set up.

Despite all the snow on the festival was a hit and almost everything got sold.

"Hey Mad can I speak to you?"

"Sure what's up?"

"I saw that Micah dude walking down toward our booths I thought you might want a heads up."

"Thanks, man! I will go warn Reyah."

I made it back to the booth and pulled Reyah aside. "Babe Jerrick just told me that he saw Micha walking down the booths just to be warned."

"If he walks over here I swear I will punch him in the face even if he speaks one word."

A little while later we all got busy and when I turned around there he stood in front of Reyah and before I could make my way over to say anything she punched him right in the face.

"Now fuck off and leave me alone. Don't make me call the police Micah."

"I think it's time for you to go," I said walking up.

Micah was holding his nose and blood was pouring out.

Libby walked over laughing. "I see you gave him the old Granger one-two punch."

"Dad taught me, well mom." Reyah smiled holding her hand.

"Did you hurt it? Let me see." I said.

"I'm fine Madden and I feel so much better after doing that."

"I would say that you do and he can't call the police and say you assaulted him because he's not supposed to be so many feet near you."

"Exactly!" She smirked.
