I had decided overnight that I am going to press charges against Micah.

I went downstairs and got the card off of the fridge and gave Gene a call.

He said to come down to the station and we could fill out a report.

I walked back upstairs and Madden & Spooky were cuddled in the bed still asleep.

I took a shower and when I got out and saw my face I was mad. I pulled my
hair up into a bun and brushed my teeth.

No need for makeup because they may want to take pictures.

I walked into the bathroom to grab my purse and Madden opened his eyes.

"Where are you going?"

"I called Gene I'm going to go press charges. "

"I'm proud of you."

"Thanks! Go back to sleep and I'll be back soon. Jerrick is going to help mom this morning so I can go file."

"I will feed Spooky and then see if they need my help."

I walked over and kissed him and then headed downstairs and put on my coat and toboggan.

"I will be back soon."

"Love you sweetie be careful." Mom said.

I headed to the police station and when I walked in I asked for Gene and the lady pointed over to his desk.

"Hi, Gene thanks for seeing me."

"I'm glad you came down here."

"After I saw my face this morning I changed my mind."

"He's still in lock-up because no one came to bail him out."

I couldn't help but smirk. "Good that's what he deserves."

It took a while to till the paperwork out and once done I decided to go back home and try to make my face look better before meeting up with mom and Jerrick

When I got home I walked into the house and to the kitchen and mom left a note on the table.

Jerrick and Madden are helping me today so you stay home and rest. We will be back soon.

I went upstairs and changed and got Spooky and laid across the bed and just cried. Cried for my daddy and cried because of what happened with Micah and I just try to be strong in front of everyone when I just want to break down.

I cried myself to sleep with Spooky in my arms and when I woke up Madden was leaning over me kissing my cheek.

"You ok babe?"

"Yeah just been overwhelmed and since you went with mom I had a good cry."

"I sure hope it helped you some. Your mom and Jerrick are downstairs making lunch do you think you can come to eat with us?"

"Yeah, I can. Let me go pee and I'm sure Spooky will just sleep on the bed. He really likes it."

"Yeah, he's very spoiled already." He laughed.

Once out of the bathroom Madden wraps his arms around me and cups my face and kisses my lips.

"Thank you, Madden." I smile.

We walk downstairs and Jerrick wrapped his arm around my neck. "Hey, sis did you take a nap?"

"I did! Thank you for helping mom."

"I loved it! A bunch of hot women there." He laughed.

Mom smacked his arm. "Shame on you! Those women were old enough to be your grandma."

"Age is just a number, Libby." He laughed.

We sit down at the table and mom had made some beef stroganoff and mashed potatoes.

"You cooked this fast mom."

"Well, I had help this time." She smiled.

After we eat Madden and Jerrick washed the dishes and mom and I went out to Dad's room and sit down.

"Tell me how you really are sweetie."

"I'm ok mom just sore and mad but it helps to know that he was still in lock up when I was down there. No one bailed him out."

"Well, that's funny." She laughed.

"You really are enjoying Jerrick's help arent you?"

"I am he is a breath of fresh air and it doesn't hurt that he lifts all of the heavy stuff."

"That is true. We may should see what they are doing." I said just as Madden walked into the room with an ice cream cone.

"We thought you guys would like some ice cream."

"Thanks, Madden." I smiled.

Jerrick walked out and handed mom an ice cream cone.

"Thanks this is just what I needed. Russ and I used to sit out here over dinner and have ice cream."

I grabbed Mom's hand and squeezed it.

Madden pointed going out the room and I shook my head because I wanted to spend more time alone with my mom.

"Do you want to go into daddy's office and go through things?"

"I have been putting that off but if you will go in there with me then I will."

"Ok, let's go," I said grabbing her hand.

As we walked through the living room Madden smiled. "We need to go to daddy's office to look at stuff. Be back in a bit."

"Ok babe." He smiled.

Jerrick looked over at Madden and made a shocked face and I couldn't help but laugh.

We walked into daddy's office and mom closed the door. "I hope they understand I want to be in here alone."

"Madden understands mom. Want to go through his drawers or what?"

"How about you hand me stuff from in them if you think it is necessary."

The first drawer I opened with the key was the big one on the bottom of the desk and there was a note on top that said Lib.

"Mom I think this is for you," I said pulling the box out.

"Will you open it for me Reyah?"

"Sure mom." I opened the lid to the box and it was a bunch of sealed cards.

"Mom it looks like he got you cards for different occasions for you to open. He knew he wasn't going to be here."

"Oh, Reyah I miss him so much."

"So do I mom," I said jumping up wrapping my arms around her while we both cry.
