The next morning when I woke up I couldn't help but smile.

I stretched in my bed and looked at the clock and it was 8:30 am.

I didn't want to leave Madden last night but I knew if I didn't come home that I would sleep with him and it was too soon even though my body says different.

I picked up my phone and I had a text from Madden.

📱Spooky and I miss you today.

Aww, look at the selfie with Spooky and Madden looks hot.

📱You make me miss the both of you already this morning.

📱 That's what I was hoping for. 😁

📱Have a good day Madden! I just woke up and have to help mom cater today. I may drop by later.

📱 Sounds good! I'll be here.

I lay the phone on the bed while I go shower and get ready for the day.

I have never in my life gone to a party for a dog and this lady has gone all out for this big poodle dog.

I look over and mom and she is smirking and I'm about to laugh so I went and made sure the cookies were straight and presentable.

Two hours later we were cleaning up when the owner walked over with the dog.

"My dog absolutely loved this party! I want to book with you for next year too Libby."

"Oh, that would be great! Reyah is boxing up the leftovers for you but we can go ahead and schedule if you want."

"I do want and I just want some of those cookies. Will you take the rest to the animal shelter?" She asked.

"I can do that. Thank you so much Madden will appreciate them." I smiled.

I cleaned up everything while mom was making the next appointment and a few other ladies were wanting to schedule parties.

I grabbed the cookies and headed out so I could take them to the shelter. I didn't really need a reason to go because I had planned on it anyway.

I pull up and walk in and don't see anyone at the front counter.

I walk to Madden's office and he was sitting at his desk with Spooky on his chest.

I lightly knock on the door and when he looks up and sees me he smiles.

"Hey there! Whatcha got?"

"The lady at the dog party wanted me to bring the extra cookies to the shelter."

"Well, that was nice of her. How was the party?"

"It was really weird. That poodle had a better birthday party than I have." I laughed.

He chuckled.

I walked over to where he was and leaned down and petted Spooky. "Can I hold him?"

"You know you can. Can I hold you?"

"You want me to sit on your lap Madden?"

"I didn't think that through but sure." He laughed.

"What if someone walks in?"

"No one is here. They worked 8-12 and I sent them home.

I watched as he pushed away from the desk and instead of sitting on his lap like a normal person I straddled him.

I smiled at him and he shook his head. "Trying to get a rise out of me?"

"Maybe. Is it working?" I asked moving on his lap so that our bodies would be pressing in the right places.

He cleared his throat. "Yeah, it is."

I smile as I lean in and kiss Spooky's head.

"So he's the only one that gets a kiss?" Madden said poking out his bottom lip.

That was so adorable and he's so handsome I could look in those chocolate eyes for the rest of my life.

"Well do I?" He smiled with one arm cupping Spooky and the other one on the arm of the chair.

"You have a lot of restraint, Mr. Berlin."

"If you only knew." He laughed.

I leaned in without smashing Spooky and put my lips on his.

His arm moved from the chair and moved across my lower back.

His touch felt like it burnt my skin as he moved his hand back and forth.

When he brushed his tongue against my bottom lip I was more than eager to let him in.

As the kiss got hotter I moved my body on his grinding on his crotch.

"Reyah wait we can't do that here."

"Do what? It's not like I'm going to strip naked here in front of Spooky." I laughed.

He laughed smacking my ass.

"I never said you could have my cookie," I smirked getting off of his lap.

"Wait what cookie?" He laughed.

"My cookie silly."

Madden looked confused so I pointed and then he cracked up laughing. "Well, I do love cookies."

We walked down to check on the dogs and feed them leftover cookies from the party.

"This is all the dogs you have left?"

"Yeah, there is about twenty-five right now."

"Wow, so we adopted out about half or more didn't we?"

"Yeah, and I'm so grateful you have no idea Reyah."

"I need mom to make some sort of tuna cookies for the kitties. Wonder if she could do that."

"Knowing her probably so." He laughed.

After giving out the cookies we went to visit the kitties.

"I got a call this morning that we are supposed to be getting some kittens that were found and also a momma cat that's pregnant."

"Oh wow. I am sad the kittens are coming but I can't wait to see them."

"If you can come in tomorrow you can be here for intake. Depending on sizes we weigh them and flea them and give them shots just all different things." He said.

"Sounds good. Are you done for the day Madden?"

"Yeah I need to place an order and I can go if you want to go do something." He smiled.

I followed him back to his office and picked up Spooky and snuggled his little face.

Once he was finished with his call we made sure Spooky was comfortable and locked up and I followed him to his house.
