Adira's POV
The bell rang indicating classes were over for the day. I couldn't wait to just go home and sleep all this tiredness away, but at the same time, the thought of going home wasn't that exciting when I remembered it means I gotta deal with my dad. Thankfully, tomorrow is the trip and I get to stay out of there.

I started to walk around the hallway, looking for Jordan. I was so focused trying to look as far as possible that I didn't noticed what was just in front of me.

An impact in my shoulder took me out of my trance, making me immediately look at whoever was standing in front of me.

"Oh shit, I'm sorry!" My eyes met with Aiden's widened eyes, his hand was grabbing my arm, making sure I wouldn't fall.

"No, it's fine. It's my fault for not paying attention." I said shaking my head at myself, taking a step back since we were close because of the impact.

"In that case it's my fault too because I wasn't paying attention either." He chuckled a bit to which I just nodded and said, "Yeah, it's both's fault. Fair enough."

"How is everything going?" He randomly asked, making me frown a bit. Why does he suddenly cares.

"Good." I replied without thinking, I mean things weren't that bad so it wasn't exactly a lie. And even if I wasn't actually ok, I wouldn't tell him. "What about you?" I added.

"Everything is great! By the way I can't believe how good Monte is doing these past months, remember how we used to cry whenever they lost?" He said laughing remembering how pathetic we were back then when it came to our favorite football soccer team. The mention of it made me feel uneasy, I hated to remember happy moments in my life because it reminds me how everything has changed, for the worse.

"Yeah, how could I forget it." I said with a nostalgic smile.

I miss him, I will probably always do, but he made his decision to leave me years ago. And even if someday he wants me back, that won't happen, because I made my decision too, and I decided things won't always be the way other people wants them. I'm not some forgotten toy a kid found in his old box and decided to play with it again.

"I gotta go, nice talking to you Aiden, see you around." I politely said wanting to get the hell out of here before the conversation could go on.

"Sure, good bye." Was all he said before I started walking away, again looking for Jordan that was nowhere to be found, but this time I paid attention to my whole surroundings.

I got closer to the parking lot, looking for Jordan's car usual spot, but when my eyes landed on it, there was no car to be found.

I quickly realized he left, which surprised me a bit but I wasn't mad at all, he probably had something to do and couldn't wait for me.

I was so thankful that I had some money with me, just enough for a bus ride. The bad thing is that to get to the bus station that would take me home, I had to go through that horrible street. But, I don't really have an option, and I have to start doing things by myself. So I'll just do it.

Jordan's POV

The bell rang but Mr. Ramirez wouldn't dismiss the class until he was done with the topic, taking a few minutes of our precious free time away.

It's been 10 minutes until he finally let us leave. Everyone immediately left the classroom as soon as the teacher dismissed the class, not willing to encourage our Spanish teacher to continue for another 10 damn minutes.

As soon as I exited the door my eyes started searching for a certain someone, almost involuntarily. When they finally found her, let's just say they didn't like what they were seeing.

I saw, from a few meters away, that blondie boy crashing with Adira, they stood close for a moment, his fucking hand stayed on her arm until Adira stepped back.

I watched them talk and even laugh, but I couldn't hear shit. I was feeling like a total creep just watching them from the distance, but I don't give a fuck, I wanted to keep watching for some reason.

I felt myself getting angrier the longer I watched, I knew that one wrong move from that blondie and I wouldn't hesitate in telling him to fuck off, but I also fucking knew Adira wouldn't like me making a scene. And the fact that that was enough for me to keep it together proves I'm going insane.

I decided to just go and wait for her in the car, trying to be the bigger person.

I had to park my car in another spot because Roman practically begged me to give it to him for today. I have no fucking idea as to why he wanted it that much, but my spot is closer to the entrance so maybe that's why.

Suddenly my phone started ringing, diverting my attention from the front entrance. Roman was calling, making me roll my eyes just at the thought of what the fuck could have happened know.

"What's up? I'm busy." I said nonchalantly, brining the phone to my ear.

"Man I need to crash at your place for tonight." Roman said through the phone. I was glad he wasn't screaming as he usually does.

"Sure, I got you." I reassured him. "Why are you asking me? You know you can stay." Sometimes they stay at my apartment for the night, but they never ask, they just show up.

"Well because I'm here already and I want you to hurry the fuck up." He replied. How even is he there already.

"How did you get there so quickly? And where the hell is your key?"

"I skipped last class, dummy." He replied to me and I could imagine the stupid face he is making in this moment. "And I forgot my key in my locker. Are you hurrying up or what?"

"I'll drop Adira home and then I'll be there, meanwhile make yourself comfortable in the hallway." I said before hanging up.

It's been 7 minutes, why the fuck is Adira taking so long? I won't ever admit it but I don't mind waiting for her, it's just that knowing her, she wouldn't want to make me wait, so she wouldn't stay chatting for that long. Something most be up.

I got out of the car and into the school again, my eyes found the blondie along with other weirdos in the hallway, but she wasn't there.

Shit.

I quickly made my way to the school parking lot again, my eyes wandering around hoping to see her.

But I didn't.

I knew she could have taken only one route home. She couldn't be that fucking far away, so I started running past the groups of people, hoping to get to that damn street as quick as I could.

Adira's POV

Damn, I almost forgot how horrible this street is and how badly it triggered my anxiety. Just thinking of what almost happened last time leaves a horrible feeling in my chest.

I heard some loud steps behind me, almost as if that person was running. That was enough to trigger my fight or flight response.

"Adira!" I was prepared to run for my freaking life, with my heart racing and my stomach doing turns, but then I heard my name.

I froze. I couldn't recognize the voice, it wasn't that close, but this person knows me. What the heck.

A hand gripped my shoulder making me immediately turn around in alert, but then my widened eyes met with his. I sighed and felt my body relaxing. It's ok.

"Jordan?" My eyes changing emotion from fear to confusion.

"Oh thank god." He said looking at me before running one hand through his hair. "Why did you left? You scared the shit out of me." His tone sounded desperate and his jaw was clenched, giving me a hint that he was definitely worried, making me feel horrible.

"I couldn't found your car, I thought you left."

"I wouldn't just leave, Adira." He said getting just a little closer to me.

"You should know that you can just leave school without me, Jordan. You don't have to drive me every day if you are busy." I wanted him to know that, I don't want him to feel that obligation.

"I know, but I don't want to. I have no problem getting you to your house." He admitted with a small frown in his face.

He turned his head up and looked at the sky, making me look up too. I then realized that it wasn't that sunny anymore, some big dark clouds were now covering the sun in the sky. Are you kidding me?

A few water droplets soon turned into a bunch of it. The water starting to drench our clothes after a few seconds.

"Fuck." Jordan muttered under his breath. "We gotta go, give me your backpack." He said reaching his hand.

I quickly removed my back pack from my shoulders and gave it to him. He put a strap in one of his shoulders and then grabbed my cold hand, our fingers interlocked.

Soon after we started running, I had no idea where, but I followed Jordan's lead. Water splashing from the floor as our foot moved quickly in the streets.

I stepped on a street hole that I didn't see because the water was covering it, I lost balance but I didn't fall thanks to Jordan's hand that was still holding mine.

"Ah shit." I muttered getting my soaking foot off the hole.

We started running again meanwhile I was laughing at myself. Still laughing, I turned to face Jordan who chuckled while shaking his head.

For some reason, running in the rain felt so refreshing, and it even made me forget about how I fear this street.

We reached his, now lonely, car in the school parking lot. Jordan opened the door for me, not letting go of my hand until I was inside the car. He went to the back of his car before getting to the drivers seat with a couple of towels in his hands.

"You really chose the worst moment possible to go home walking." Jordan said bringing to life the car, turning on the heater as soon as possible. He then arranged the air conditioner grids so the warm air reached me.

"Yeah, and you chose the worst day possible to park your car in another spot." I defended. He grabbed one of the towels and got closer to put it around me, I muttered a small 'thanks' with a smile.

"So this is what happens when I'm kind enough to do Roman a favor, huh?" He said running the towel through his wet hair before throwing the towel to the back of the car.

I took a moment to look at him, his hair was still wet and some rested in his forehead, his clothes were drenched in water just as mine. I probably would have kept starting for a bit longer, but when I looked down at my clothes my heart skipped a beat.

My baby blue shirt was wet to the point you could see my black bra underneath. I grabbed the towel from my shoulders to cover my chest, I was really embarrassed and I hopped Jordan hadn't notice it, but of course he freaking did.

"Uh if you need a dry shirt I got one in the cashew." He said with his eyes focused in my own ones, and I was glad he wasn't looking somewhere else.

Before I could say anything he got out of the car and came back with a shirt.

"Here." He said handing me a black 'AC/DC' t-shirt.

"Why do you have your whole room in your cashew?" I said grabbing the shirt. I mean he borrowed me a shirt before, now two towels and another shirt.

"I like to be prepared, love." He said with a smirk in his lips. The way he called me 'love' made my heart drop and I knew for a fact that my face was as red as a tomato by now.

"Prepared for what? War? I wouldn't be surprised if there was a freaking gun there." I said jokingly, trying to ignore the weird feeling in my stomach that wasn't willing to go.

"I guess you wouldn't wanna found that out, do you?" He said driving the car towards the school entrance.

"Yeah, probably not." He parked the car under the small school entrance roof, I got out with the shirt in my hand and headed to the school's bathroom so I can change.

The school was almost completely lonely aside from some teachers and some people that stayed for school clubs.

I entered the lonely bathroom and went inside the last cubicle. I took off my drenched shirt and quickly put on the dry one. I'm not even short, but still Jordan's shirt looked huge on me, and to be honest I like oversized clothes so I had no problem with it.

Jordan's scent was all around me, literally. If someone came near me, they will probably think I smell like a man.

Shit, what would my father think if he sees me like this. I can already imagine the horrible insults he would tell me.

I rolled my eyes at the thought and reached the mirror. My hair was a mess in the ponytail I had, so I let it flow freely in my shoulders and put the hair tie in my wrist, hoping my hair would dry itself quicker.

I just combed my hair a little with my hands before going back to Jordan's car.

"Ready?" Jordan asked while I put on the seatbelt.

"Yup." I replied with a small grin.

Suddenly a phone started ringing, I grabbed mine to check but I soon noticed it was Jordan's.

"I told you I'll be there in a min." Jordan said with an annoyed tone while holding the phone next to his ear.

"You are mad at me as if it was my fucking fault you forgot your key, you are lucky I'm letting you stay." He said rising his voice a bit.

"Fine, bye." Was the last thing he said before hanging up.

"I'll stop by my place quickly just so Roman stops being annoying." He said looking at me to which I quickly nodded along with a 'sure'. I guess Roman was the one on the other side of the line.

After a silent 15 minutes we reached a tall and fancy building, Jordan parked his car in the underground parking lot and then turned off his car.

Jordan left the car and I was about to open my door when he was already opening it for me. At first I thought 'woah this guy is fast as heck' but the I remembered that I'm actually really slow.

"What a gentleman." I said playfully while getting off the car. I grabbed my backpack and my wet shirt with me, you never know if someone will ever try to break into your car. The parking lot has some guards at the entrance, but still you never know. I ain't taking risks.

Soon we were inside of a lonely and elegant elevator, Jordan clicked on the 9th floor button and the elevator started moving upwards, I immediately took a hold of the handrails and waited till it stopped moving.

The elevator stopped and the doors opened, we went through a hallway and soon after we saw Roman sitting outside an apartment's front door.

"Fucking finally." Roman said standing up from the floor and picking up his belongings.

"Oh, hey pumpkin!" He greeted me excitedly as Jordan and I stopped in front of him.

"Oh?" He added now pointing with his finger at my shirt, a smirk rested in his lips as he also threw a flew glances to Jordan.

I immediately looked down to where he was pointing, thinking that maybe my bra was showing again for some reason, but then I realized it wasn't.

"I get it now. Guys you could have just said that, I would have understood." Roman adds, making me frown deeply because of my nonexistent knowledge of what he is talking about.

"What are you talking about?" I questioned before looking at Jordan who was standing right next to me. He had a scowl in his face, he probably knew what Roman was talking about, or he was just annoyed, like every other day.

"I mean both of you have disheveled hair, that is also wet?" He said frowning as if trying to understand why it's wet. "Ok, I didn't know you two were that freaky already, but go off I guess." He continues.

"Also you are wearing Jordan's shirt, he never borrows his clothes, not even to us, so that definitely means something. If you want to just disappear and fuck sometimes is ok, it's part of life and part of creating a beautiful family."

"Shut the fuck up idiot." Jordan said glaring at him.

I was speechless at the long story Roman created in his head just because we looked like shit thanks to the rain. Create a beautiful family? I want what he is on.

"Your mind works in really weird ways, Roman. Sorry to break it to you, but we aren't fucking and we are definitely not creating a family, the rain caught up to us and that's why we look like this." I said trying to get him to understand.

"Your story sounds even more unrealistic than mine, but sure, whatever makes you both feel better." Roman said with narrowed eyes, not buying my part of the story, which is the only freaking part of the story because that's what actually happened.

Jordan opened the door with his key and gestured Roman to go inside.

"Now leave me the fuck alone, I'm dropping home Adira and I'll come back whenever I want." Jordan said glaring at Roman.

"What? So pumpkin is leaving without an apartment tour? Not under my damn watch!" Roman said extending his hand for me to grab and follow his lead, when I was about to take his hand a familiar one grabbed mine first.

I looked up at Jordan's tall figure, his hand holding mine and his jaw clenched while glaring at Roman. Roman gave us a knowing look and I can just imagine what he is thinking now.

"Fine do the fucking tour." Jordan said besides me slowly releasing my hand.

Roman fully opened the door and I could just say woah. The apartment was not only fancy, but you could say it was even sexy. The mostly black, grey and dark blue colors in the decor made it look badass and really elegant.

"Ok so you can already see the leaving room, here is a big tv, an Xbox, and some really comfy couches, so this is where the family time takes place." Roman said walking in front of the tv. "Also, I guess you have noticed by now but the view from this big ass windows in insane, specially in the night." He looked through the window-like walls and I got closer to see.

You could see a lot of buildings from here, people and cars looked so small. I was really amazed at how cool this was that I almost forgot about my fear of heights.

He showed me around the kitchen next, and then we went to a hallway with two doors on opposite sides.

"Don't." Jordan said as Roman was about to open one, Roman just rolled his eyes and opened the other one.

"Well since Jord doesn't want me to show you his room, I'll show you mine. Well it's actually the guest room, but it's practically Blake's and mine since we are the only ones that ever stay here, we even got some clothes here." Roman got into the room with Jordan and me following him.

"And in case you are wondering why this room looks a lil unseasoned, it's because Blake is the one that mostly stays here, he is Jordan's favorite." He said glaring at his best friend. "Hell, he is everyone's favorite, even my mom's."

"Maybe because he isn't that fucking loud, as someone else in this room." Jordan said shrugging.

"Pumpkin isn't even that loud you asshole." Roman said with a disgusted frown.

Yeah, I don't think Jordan was talking about me.

"I guess the tour ends here, pumpkin." Roman said as we exited the room.

"Good, let's go now." Jordan said grabbing his keys.

I waved good bye to Roman as I followed Jordan to the building's hallway.

"See you tomorrow!" Roman said before we closed the door.
