You stared out at the nearing land across the ocean. It had been seven years, and yet it only felt like a few days. You were in disbelief and could only believe it once you had seen it.

"I wonder what everyone looks like now," you looked over at the scarlet-haired woman.

"I wonder if I still have my job," you muttered.

"Well, if you don't, you can always join Fairy Tail," she smiled over at you.

"Stop it with your propaganda techniques."

She laughed, "Well, I tried." She then went silent. "I wonder what happened with Jellal..." she trailed off.

"Who knows..." you glanced down, tapping your fingers against the railing of the boat. "The forces of chaos follow that man wherever he goes. My brother is full of unpredictability. Always made me anxious."

"Sometimes I forget you're his sister with how different you are."

"How could you? We have the same face mark," you chuckled.

"Got me there."

"Erza! Come fight me!" Natsu roared from down the stairs. She sighed and rolled her eyes, before patting you on the back and turning over her shoulder.

You were seriously worried about your job. You had been in the Magic Council, as well as the tenth "Wizard Saint," making you the youngest member of both. Speaking of which, what was your age now? You were physically still 19, but technically it's been 26 years since your birth. Well, you had bigger matters at hand anyways.

When the boat stopped at the docs, you parted ways from Fairy Tail with a wave. You had originally gone there because you heard word from the Magic Council that they suspected Zeref had been staying on Tenroujima, the island owned by Fairy Tail. The Magic Council planned to go there with their fleet, so you decided to warn Makarov. Who knew that it would end with you being stuck in time for seven years?

You had come up with an alibi already that Makarov agreed to back you up on. You would say that, since he was growing old, he needed assistance with the boat and keeping the Fairy Tail wizards under wrap, and you already wanted to go in order to support Erza (who was like a sister to you). Would the excuse work? Probably not, but you were a favorite of many so suck-up points come in handy quite often.

You finally made it to Magnolia's train station. You needed to head to the Magic Council headquarters as soon as possible, but first... you had to make sure you still had a home...

Timeskip...

You stepped off the train into Marigold, a city in Fiore. It was quite large since it was between Crocus, the capital of Fiore, and Era, the Magic Council headquarters. Since it was in-between, it was given the nickname, "Poor Man's Vacation," since it offered lower prices than the two towns that were often booming with tourists. Despite it's name, it was still beautiful. It wasn't a Crocus, and it didn't have the same historical value of Era, but it still had it's charm. It was quite diverse and had a nice environment. The people were nice as well.

As you walked, people watched with wide eyes and you could only smile awkwardly. You finally came across your home, only to see that it had been taken care of. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. You walked up the steps and knocked. The door opened to show a confused and somewhat familiar face. The person's face quickly morphed into a shocked expression as she dropped the chip bag she was eating out of.

"Oh my god. He-he said you weren't dead and I didn't believe him yet here you are- oh my god," she muttered.

The woman had pink hair and red eyes. She wore a large blue cloak with a red blouse underneath. She looked young, maybe a year or two younger than you.

"Who are you?"

"Uh... hold on," she shut the door in your face. You heard footsteps dashing inside, before hearing a group of them. The door opened to show three people. You knew the two new people, and it allowed you to figure out the first girl.

"What the fuck..?"

"(F/n)," the blue-haired man breathed out. "You're alive."

"You're not in prison."

"Uh..." he scratched the back of his head, "long story..."

Your brother smiled and quickly wrapped his arms around you. "You're alive."

"You doubted me?" you smiled.

"Not for a second," he parted from you.

"Can we talk about the elephant in the room?" You narrowed your eyes at Ultear. "Jellal, what the hell is she doing here?"

"Why don't we go inside?"

The four of you did so, and when you stepped inside... you nearly fainted. "Jellal! What the hell happened to my house?!"

You liked things neat and organized, and had even organized things according to feng-shui. However, things were no longer neat and organized like you wanted them. There were many things strewn about.

Jellal looked to his comrades, trying to ignore your glare. "We may need to find a new... base."

Your eye twitched.

"Don't worry, we'll take care of it. This will all be gone by the end of the week."

"It better," you grumbled, sitting down at the messy dining table. "So, catch me up on what I missed."

Jellal went on to explain the events of the seven years you were gone. After your presumed death, they replaced you in the Wizard Saints with a man named Shirasato, and in the Magic Council it was a woman named Sheeta. "They've changed the Magic Council seat many times since your leave. It seems like they can't find a good fit, so you have a chance of getting that back sometime soon. As for Shirasato... he's done some questionable things and it seems like the Magic Council is looking for a reason to kick him off at this point."

"...so I don't have a job?"

"...no."

You rubbed your temples with your fingers. "Carry on."

"I was able to break out of prison. Since then, I've created an independent guild called Crime Sorciere. It's not a legal guild, but not a dark one either. We are made out of former dark guild members and former criminals, wishing to redeem ourselves." His eyes narrowed into a glare at his hands, "Our main goal is to bring down Zeref."

"So..." you trailed off, trying to find an easier way to ask the question. "You remember..?"

His face turned into a grimace. "Yeah," he whispered.

"And..?" You glanced over at Ultear and Meredy.

"We feel deep regret for our past actions," Ultear frowned. "We want to redeem ourselves as well."

You nodded your head.

"And as for the last thing," Jellal sighed. "Ever since the "Tenrou Team" for Fairy Tail has been gone, a festival called the Grand Magic Games has been held in Crocus. Every guild in Fiore competes for the title of the strongest guild. These past seven years, Sabertooth has been at the top, and Fairy Tail has been at the bottom."

"It's because the strongest members were gone, right?" You frowned.

"Yes, unfortunately. But now that they're back, I'm sure things will go smoothly," he cracked a smile. "But, as always-"

"There's bigger things at hand?" You raised an eyebrow.

"Yes," your brother rubbed the back of his neck, "We've been sensing Zeref's energy every year."

You grimaced, leaning back in your chair with a sigh.

"And we need to ask a favor. I mean, you do owe me..." he trailed off with a small smirk.

"I owe you for what? Keeping my house an absolute mess?"

"Keeping your house, and... not letting it get sold. And not letting all your stuff get thrown out. Besides, your room is practically untouched."

You rolled your eyes. "Fine. Thank you."

"There, that wasn't so hard, was it?"

"I threw up in my mouth a little after saying it."

He chuckled. "I am sorry to ask you for this though, and if you aren't comfortable with it, you don't have to."

"Well, go on."

Jellal nodded to Ultear and Meredy and they left the room. "I need you to join Fairy Tail and enter the games as Mystogan. You won't have to show your face and you don't even have to talk. You would have to learn his magic, however. And you can tell Makarov why, of course."

You sighed, tapping your fingers against your thigh. It made you anxious. You were no longer a member of the Magic Council, but if you wanted to become a member again... well, joining Fairy Tail wouldn't exactly put them on your side. You'd have to do a good job at keeping quiet and not giving any hints at who you were. It would be very difficult.

But... you'd get to experience the excitement of being a mage in a guild, something you'd been curious about for a while.

"Alright..."

"Alright..?" Jellal trailed off, almost in a whisper, as he looked at you hopefully.

"I'll do it," you crossed your arms over your chest. He quickly jumped over and hugged you.

"Thank you. So much. You're the best sister ever."

You blushed. This was definitely the Jellal you knew as a child. "It's fine."

He parted from you and smiled. "I'll help you find what spells he knew and any similar ones. He mostly practiced holder magic, which I'm sure you already knew," you nodded your head. "Well, we'll worry about that later. You have other duties to tend to."

You had almost forgotten about them before he mentioned it. It was almost dark anyways, so you figured you'd worry about it tomorrow. Both of you parted your ways and went to bed for the night.

He was right earlier. Your bedroom had been practically untouched, but you could tell someone had come in every once in a while to dust things, because it wasn't nearly as dusty as it should've been. You smiled and fell onto your bed, falling asleep quickly.
