Everyone settles down. Ashutosh starts narrating. As he finishes, Baldev and Asha were shocked. There were tears in Shefali's eyes. And then......  

Asha gets up and goes to Ashutosh. He stands up, trying to read his mother's expression. Asha comes and stands right in front of him and gives him a tight slap. Everyone is shocked. Ayushi and Baldev try to say something but she gestures them to wait. Asha once again slaps Ashutosh. Tears were flowing down from Shefali's eyes. 

Asha (to Ashutosh) - "Why did you not tell me? *slap* You think yourself as a hero? *slap* You will do everything as per your wish? *slap* Have you got no brains?"

Ashutosh - "Mom, what did I do? It is not her fault..."

Asha slaps him before he can finish his statement. 

Asha - "Now, you will find faults in me. I know that it is not her fault. It is your fault. Just your. Why did you not tell me earlier? You should have called me the moment she told everything to you. Do you even realize how difficult it would have been for her? How much she would have yearned for a mother's love? You are an idiot. You should have called me. I would have come and taken care of my daughter."

Shefali ran to Asha and hugged her as tightly as she could. Asha patted her head and made her sit on the sofa. She sat down with her and kept caressing her head.

Ashutosh - "This is not all. He had called me once and told me how exactly should I treat my wife." He gritted his teeth.

Baldev (angrily) - "Shefali, you will not be visiting that house again. At least not without Ashu. And Ashutosh, make sure you take care of her."

Ashutosh nods. Baldev patted Shefali's head and gestured Asha to take her away. Asha nods her head and takes Shefali to her room.

Asha's Room

Asha makes Shefali lay down and wipes her tears. She covers her with a duvet and sites beside her. Patting her head, she sings a lullaby. It was for the first time, Shefali was experiencing a mother's love. She slept listening to the lullaby.

There were tears in Asha's eyes. 

Asha (thinking) - "How can a mother do so? Why did she do so? Was it her helplessness? Or..."

The thought that a mother could do such a disgusting thing to her own daughter, troubled her. She was not ready to believe that a mother could hurt her child willingly.

Asha (thinking) - "It must have been her helplessness. No mother can do this. She has given birth to her. She will not hurt her own child."

With these thoughts revolving in her mind, she dozed off.
