" See? Whatta' I tell you? We don't need stupid instructions, we're perfectly fine building this shelf withou- '' Miruko got interrupted as the entire shelf shook, then caved in onto the floor for the 3rd time.

Hawks and I sighed as we sat on the floor in my bedroom.

" Auntie, please? If it breaks while you try to do it 'your way' again then we'll have to buy another shelf." Takami held onto the bridge of his nose. Miruko thumped her foot on the floor in frustration. She groaned with a hammer in hand.

" Alright, we can follow the instructions." She murmured, Hawks and I exhaled in relief.

------

After a couple of hours of piecing together each part; disassembling, and re-assembling, we finally built the shelf, my new bed frame, my new desk and my new tv stand. All that was next was my nightstand and the fancy lights we bought.

" Step 63 says that part 13 is supposed to be drilled into the leg of the nightstand." I read aloud the instructions while squinting. I laid on the wooden floor with my legs on the wall then dropped the novel of instructions on my face in exhaustion. Hawks dragged the (f/c) bean bag chair we bought next to my couch while Miruko laid on the floor on her stomach; swaying her legs in the air.

" Do you think that the almighty number one hero would be able to decipher the instructions?" Hawks inquired as he wiped sweat from his brow. I groaned aloud as I outstretched my arms.

" Hmm, I think he'll meet his match once he builds this." I commented as I lifted up the instructions again. Hawks tittered as he collapsed onto the beanbag chair.

" What's the time, Rumi?" I sighed. Miruko groggily grabbed her phone to check.

" 2:30... am..."

" Yeesh..."

" Well... I'm all tuckered out for the night kiddos, I'll be at the guest room next door if you need me." Miruko yawned after weakly standing. Hawks and I hummed and lazily and waved her off with a mere raise of our hands. Then suddenly as she made it to the doorway, she turned about to face us.

" No funny business... Keigo..." She hissed as she glared into his eyes. My eyes widened as I felt my face grow warm out of embarrassment. I averted my gaze onto the floor awkwardly.

" WHA- AUNTIE-!" Kiego squawked as his entire face went deep red and objected as he jumped to his feet.

" Alright, alright, just making sure, you little weirdo." Miruko suddenly smiled mischievously at his reaction. She lazily turned around again and walked out." 'Night kids!" She bellowed with a small wave.

" Night..." Keigo and I sighed. She gently closed the door.

" Did Toshinori tell you guys you were sleeping over?" I questioned; still sprawled out on the floor.

" Yeah, the old man said we would be stickin' around the entire time of your stay to help him take care of ya." Takami mumbled, a small smile found its way on my lips.

" Hah, he's acting like such a parent." I shook my head in amusement.

" Well, he did always say that he wanted to settle down someday to have kids." Hawks pointed out with a chuckle.

" Huh... "

We sat in comfortable and tired silence for a while as we were both deep in thought.

" Hey chickenwing, what about your dad?" I asked abruptly...

Then suddenly the silence didn't feel all too comfortable anymore...

" H-huh...?" He asked with a slight crack in his voice. I furrowed my brows.

' Ah, I get the message.'

" Uh, y'know what? Nevermind, you don't have to tell me, we just met, sorry to be so nosy." I assured him as I turned my head to look up at him from across the room. He looked over back at me, at first with slight hostility, then it morphed back to a warm expression.

" It's alright." He sighed with a small awkward smile. I turned back to face the wall again with a nod.

" Hey, wanna finish up the cool lights before we hit the hay?" I suggested, I turned to him again with a grin, he smiled widely in return.

" Hell yeah this room is gonna look sickkk."

" Pff, dork."

" Oh shut up Sweets."

------

" Hey, stop moving around so much!" I criticized as I tried to steady my hands whilst sticking the LED lights on the wall.

" I can't help it! I can't just stay perfectly still while flying in place you dick!" Hawks huffed as I was perched on his shoulders.

" Yeah well at least I HAVE a dic- AH!" I squealed as Takami suddenly threw me up into the air, then caught me while I was upside down by my leg.

" Chicken wing you sack of shit!" I laughed hysterically as he purposely started to sway me back and forth.

" Say sorry Sweets! Or else I'll throw you up in the air again!" Hawks teased, I could tell he was grinning just by the sound of his stupid voice. I snorted as he began to sway me again.

" Alright! Alright! I give!" I surrendered as I put up my hands in defense.

" Say sorry Sweetcheeks!" He sang.

" So- WAH!"

I was suddenly interrupted as we both crashed onto the floor. I held my head in my hand as Takami was sprawled out on top of me whilst I laid on my stomach. The rushing sound of thumping footsteps nearing my room was then accompanied by two adults slamming the door open.

" OI! WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT NO FUNNY BUSINESS KEIGO!" Miruko roared whilst thumping her foot on the floor. All Might stood behind her sheepishly in his skinny form.

" Oh hey Allmight!" Hawks and I greeted him in unison with a cheerful wave.

" OI! YOU STILL HAVEN'T EXPLAINED YOURSELF KEIGO!"

" Ehh, Rumi, don't you think this might be a misunderstanding?" All Might chuckled wearily as he scratched the back of his head.

------

" Woaaahh it looks like your room is in space, I'm kinda jealous." Hawks admitted as he was all snug in his futon next to my bed. I snorted.

After the whole fiasco that happened earlier, Takami and I finally finished setting up the LED lights, fairy lights, and the space projector that was currently facing the ceiling. The room was a dark blue with stars and a moon painting the ceiling with the lightshow going on.

" Hey, I can buy you some lights if you want." I offered as I leaned down to look over the bed.

" Sweet, thanks Sweetcheeks."

" You talk like a surfer dude-"

" And you talk like a nerd."

" Goodnight chicken."

" 'Night Sweetcheeks."

And then just like that, we passed out cold in the comfort of my space-room.

------

" Ayo Sweets!"

" Erughh..."

" C'mon we got places to be today!"

I winced as the bright sun from the sky-light just above my bed shined into my eyes.

" Ugh, again? We're not even done with building my nightstand." I whined as I flipped onto my side again and yanked my plush soft blankets over my head.

" We got a schedule little birdy, get used to it, we're Pro Heroes." Takami huffed as he peeled my blankets off my 'corpse'. I groaned and shielded my eyes from the sun's death rays.

" Yeah and I'm booked all day to sleep ." I hissed at the sun as if I was a dying vampire.

" C'monnnn I have some meet-ups to go to-"

" Guhhh..." I groaned.

" I gotta patrol with Toshinori-"

I cut him off again with another wail.

" And we have to meet up with some guys at the pro hero headquarters and you're comn' with!" Takami finally managed to rip off my blankets completely off my body from my death grip. I instinctively curled up in a ball and shivered.

" Why am I going? I'm not a pro!"

" Because I'm a year older than you and I'm helping babysit! Also I don't wanna go by myself because that's boring." Takami replied plainly as he stood on top of my bed with crossed arms.

" You don't even know how old I am!" I retorted as I stuck out my tongue at the chicken.

" How old are you then?" He inquired as he leaned down to look me directly in the eyes.

" ...( your age) ..."

( Remember this story takes place just before the first year of UA highschool with class 1A so you're gonna be on the younger side sorry abt that lol.)

" And I'm ( a year older than you), end of story." Takami grinned, I let out a yawn.

" Ugh, suck my dick I'm going to slee- WAH!" I yelped as Takami suddenly picked me up and threw me into the air as if I was a goddamn paperweight, then carried me in bridal style. I blew some of my bed-hair out of my face as he hopped off the bed. There was not a single sign of struggle on his face as he just casually carried me out the door.

" Just wanna let you know, I'm allowing you to do this." I protested.

" Right..." He chuckled.

------

As he trudged down the hall, whistling and skipping along and all, I simply leaned into him in defeat with crossed arms. His arms were wrapped around me and I could faintly hear his heartbeat when I pressed my head onto his chest.

' I guess this whole thing isn't a dream after all, his heartbeat sounds so real...'

Then I was snapped out of my thoughts at the sound of-

" (L/NNNNNNNNNNNN)!!! WOOOO NICE TO MEET YA!!"

I winced at the ear-piercing shriek in the kitchen. Takami cringed as well at the noise and raised his shoulders as a weak attempt to cover his ears whilst he held me.

" WOAH!! (L/N) ONLY JUST GOT HERE A WHILE AGO AND HERE SHE IS ALREADY BECOMING BUDDY-BUDDY WITH OL' KEIGO-!!"

" Mic, please, you're scaring the poor kids." Toshinori gently objected as he sat at the dining table with Miruko.

" Yeah and you'll make 'em go deaf too..." Miruko recoiled into her sweater as she yanked down her rabbit ears.

" OH-! My bad, is that better?" Mic turned a dial on his hero costume and suddenly his voice became tolerable.

" Yes." We all collectively sighed.

" Hey young man! It's been a while!" Mic piped up as he ruffled Takami's hair.

" Hey Mic, what's up?" Hawks yawned whilst I hopped off from his grasp.

" Nothing much squirt! Ah! And you're the star of the show I've been hearin' all about! I'm Mic, real name's Yamada Hizashi! Pro Hero and professor at UA academy!" Mic cherrily grabbed my hand and shook it with a wicked grip.

" O-Oh, nice to me-et you Yamada..." I stumbled on my words as he still aggressively shook my hand.

Since I already told All Might the night prior that I actually could speak in Japanese, he just sat and drank his coffee without much concern.

" I just dropped by to say hi to the special lady of the hour, also to drop off these teaching forms to Toshinori for the upcoming school year in 3 months." Yamada noted as he tossed a hefty pile of paperwork to Yagi's way.

' Oh that's right! UA is gonna be opening up soon, maybe I should apply so I can meet class 1A... Might as well make my time here worthwhile...'

Miruko and Hawks gasped as I just stood there in deep thought whilst next to the bird.

" YOU'RE RETIRING TO BECOME A TEACHER?!" Miruko and Hawks squawked in a stunned state. All Might quickly shot down their claims with a sheepish expression as he desperately waved his arms around.

" O-OH! I PROMISE I'M NOT! I'm... just... eh... y'know, approaching the end of my career and-"

" THAT'S WHAT RETIRING MEANS ALL MIGHT!"

" NO! WELL-! Ah, what I'm trying to say is that I'm gradually gonna start taking up teaching and start slowing down my hero business... It's just that-"

" You're getting older..." I spoke up, everyone turned their heads to me. I looked up to meet eyes with Yagi as he looked at me with shame in his eyes. I sighed with a small smile." You shouldn't apologize for wanting to grow old and go on with your life, you've already been the symbol of peace for most of your life..." I trailed off as I walked over to Yagi at the dinner table.

I abruptly hugged him as he sat; facing me. He hugged me in return with a thankful grin.

" Even the symbol of peace needs to lay down his position to live freely. But when one hero steps off the podium..." I continued, I broke off from the hug yet still continued to speak.

" Another hero helps take his place, and continues his legacy." I nodded as I walked back to my position next to Hawks.

" Huh, I guess she's right..." Hawks huffed as he turned to me briefly.

" Well, whatever age you wanna retire, we'll visit you at the retirement home!" Miruko let out a hearty laugh as All Might simply rolled his eyes.

" Oh you asshole."

" Welp! I gotta get to the school to teach my English classes. Catch y'all later!" Mic looked up at his watch and turned on his heel with a wave.

" See ya Mic!" The three of us bid him goodbye in unison. Hawks and I sat at the dinner table with folded legs as breakfast was spread out at the table. By the looks of it, it looked like All Might and Miruko made steamed vegetables, white rice with an egg yolk in the middle of the bowl, and udon soup.

" Thank you for the meal!"

------

" Haah, thanks Takami." I rubbed my shoulders and shivered as the 3 of us stood at the top of the building. Hawks put a wing over me as the harsh winds came our way.

" No problem, Sweet cheeks!" He chirped as he looked over the city.

Hawks and All Might took me along with them while they were patrolling for the day. The three of us were chillin' at the top of a random building waiting for the next big disaster to take the news up by storm. But the fact that they had to patrol at 9 in the ass-cracking morning was insane to me.

" Where's Rumi?" I looked over to All Might who was now in his fit form given that we were out in public.

" She's patrolling with Rock Lock on the other side of the city, we usually split up places when patrolling." He explained as he looked about with binoculars. I yawned as I gripped onto my puffy jacket.

When I heard the news earlier that the two would be making me tag along with them during patrol, I wasn't exactly prepared with the best clothes for the windy occasion. I wore a dark green oversized knitted sweater with puffy sleeves. A black turtleneck was underneath the sweater. And lastly, some simple, baggy, black corduroy pants. I made a last stitch effort for some warm clothes since I took my brown puffy jacket along with me.

" Yeesh, how do you guys do it? Waking up at 6 to patrol for 8 hours must be a chore." I stretched out my back.

" Nothing's a chore when the lives of citizens depend on us! Keigo! Look alive! We got a gigantification villain at our 3 o'clock!" All Might spoke in his usual lively, boisterous, voice as he turned to me and the bird. And low and behold, there seemed to look like a guy with a mutation quirk who was million times bigger than your average Joe. He had the appearance of a sort of dinosaur, and took a whole train hostage at the bustling subway.

" Well, that's our cue Sweet Cheeks! C'mon let's put on a show!" Hawks threw me over his shoulder effortlessly. All Might began jumping to and from the looming buildings of the city over to the villain and Hawks bolted to the scene with his wings.

" Wha-! Hey! Why am I coming? I'm no Pro Hero!" I objected with crossed arms as I was still in Takami's grasp.

" Yeah! You're right! You're no Pro Hero but we can't just let you out of our sights, you might be at risk of a kidnapping again like last time little birdie!" Takami had to raise his voice as the blaring noise of the wind in our ears made everything more muted.

I grumbled as I simply rested my face on my hands.
