" Pssst! Oi!"

I felt something soft and light tickle my cheek.

" Ughh..." I groaned groggily as I swatted my arm to and fro at the thing that was making noise.

" Mom I'll be right down, don't worry..." I objected with my raspy morning voice.

" Mom? I'm way too young and sprung to be called that, Sweets."

My eyes shot open as the suave, teenage boy voice rang through my ears. I sprung up into a sitting position and kicked off my blankets. I whipped my head up at the guy who hovered over me. He looked at me with crossed arms and a perplexed yet intrigued expression.

By the looks of it he looked around my age, and had beautifully elegant deep red wings. Followed with dirty blonde messy hair and a pair of piss-yellow goggles sitting on his face. He wore a really weird jacket and even weirder baggy pants.

I screamed.

" WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY APARTMENT?"

I threw a measly pillow at his beautiful face.

( Keep in mind that in the story you only watched up until the USJ arc, thus you not being aware of Hawk's existence. I also made him a year older than you in this story because he's like 23 in the anime which would be illegal.)

" Apartment?" He questioned as the pillow simply fell to the floor.

My eyes widened.

' Fuck, this isn't my room...' I groaned in annoyance and slumped back onto the bed.

" Shit, I forgot that I'm lost here."

" Hmm well nice to meet you too." He smiled gently with closed eyes as he hovered over me again." I'm Hawks, but since I'll probably stick around you for a bit you can call me Takami Keigo." He gave me a hand to shake as I stared up at him with tired eyes. I sighed; I took his hand in return and we both shook on it.

" (L/n) (Y/n)."

" Hmm you just understood me after I spoke Japanese, but Toshinori said earlier that you couldn't speak it..." The rando guy in front of me pondered as he observed me with a more skeptical look in his eyes.

' Wait... he just spoke Japanese and I UNDERSTOOD him?! Last time I checked I didn't know jack shit!'

.

.

.

Then I remembered how I wished last night that I could understand Japanese, by accident of course.

.

.

.

' Fuck, Caerus granted a wish I made while I was half asleep.'

Well it's not like I could do shit about it now, my cover was blown.

" Well just because I didn't speak it last night while being chased by criminals doesn't mean that I can't speak it." I justified with crossed arms.

" Yeah, fair, I guess."

I sighed in relief before he spoke up again.

" Y'know when Toshinori told us that he wanted us to take care of a little girl he found on the street I expected you to be like..." He hummed as he flew afar from me and used his thumb and index finger to go closer together as he looked at me." This much smaller..." He finished his thought.

" I'm sorry... who are you?" I squinted my eyes at him upon realizing that I didn't remember him, like, at all from the anime. He looked at me in wonder while flying around me curiously as I asked the question.

" Uh I told you already, Hawks...?" He flew in front of me and observed my face as he spoke.

" Uhh..." I was stumped as I pondered for a minute.

" Colleague of Toshinori?" He spoke up again.

" Hmmm..."

" The guy that all teenage girls fawn over?"

" Ehh..."

" I'm a pro hero sidekick, Sweets." He sighed as he landed gently on his feet again.

" Oh, that makes more sense then." I responded with a nod.

" Hmm, maybe he was right about you having amnesia-"

" Hey!"

" Heh, sorry, just thought out loud." He chuckled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head.

" C'mon get up! We got places to be!" He grabbed my hands and pulled me up from my lying position on the bed.

" Huh? Where?"

" I dunno but Toshi said we have to run some errands somewhere and I haven't been able to be around a kid my age in a long time so we're gettin' outta here."

I stumbled onto the carpet near my bed as he hovered above the floor slightly with his wings.

" Oh! Miruko said that I'm not allowed to carry anyone on my back while flying because I'll hurt myself, but I wanna try anyway, wanna ride on my back?" He offered as he pointed his thumb back to himself.

" Yes." I responded without a second thought.

" Sweet."

He kneeled down in front of me as he faced away from my figure." Put your arms around my neck, don't choke me, aaand wrap your legs around me."

I nodded as I mounted his back and wrapped my arms around his neck. He stood up again, straightened out his back and stretched out his legs.

" Alright, just wrap your arms around my waist if you feel scared 'kay?"

Without even allowing me to reply, he immediately boosted off and soared down the hallway. I could feel the wind blow into my hair and face which woke me right up. My heart palpitated as he took a rapid dive to the foyer on the first floor. If you told me that he created a sonic boom I would've believed you. He kept at it as he took a sharp turn to the corridor to the left on the first floor. I hugged his waist from behind for dear life after he barely dodged the wall. He gradually began to slow down as we approached the kitchen.

" What the hell did I say about you carrying people around while in the sky, Keigo?" I heard a feminine yet firm voice speak up as Takami began to touch the ground with his toes. The smell of sizzling fish and warm soup with various spices engulfed the room.

" Well I carried her while inside so it doesn't actually count since we're indoors." He huffed with crossed arms as I hopped off his back.

The tall woman who had her back turned to us and was focused on the stove suddenly whirled around to meet our gaze. She had lovely long white hair that flowed all the way down to her lower back along with a hoodie and some sweatpants. Her clothing greatly contrasted to Takami's hero wear. But more obviously, she had huge white bunny ears on her head.

The rabbit woman suddenly gasped as she caught my eye.

" HOLY SHIT! SHE'S ADORABLE!" She fawned as she immediately hopped over the kitchen island and squeezed my cheeks as if she was holding her own conceived child. Takami awkwardly stood at the side lines as she noogied my head.

" She looks around your age, Takami! But... I think I would have a bit of trouble talking to her since I'm not all too good with English." She pointed out.

" Funny you say that actually... uh-" I spoke up meekly before getting crushed into a hug by the big woman.

" SHE SPEAKS JAPANESE!!!"

------

" So where are we going again, uh-" I spoke up after eating the grilled salmon and white rice that Usagiyama made earlier that morning.

" Usagiyama Rumi! But you can just call me Rumi!" Mirko spoke up with a wide grin from across the dining table. Hawks suddenly objected and dropped his chopsticks midway while eating his salmon.

" Hey! You let her call you on a first name basis but not me? I've known you for 3 year-!" Mirko immediately drowned out the bird by speaking up again boisterously.

" Oh we're going shopping by the way!" She responded sweetly, I thought for a bit.

" For what, hero... stuff?"

" To buy you nicer furniture for your room, silly!" She smiled warmly.

" Ah! You don't have to do that, I'm not even sure how long I'm gonna stay here for." I pointed out with a sheepish laugh.

" Actually it was Toshinori who wanted us to take you in the first place." Hawks responded with a mouthful of white rice. Miruko smacked him upside the head with a scaringly infuriated expression.

" CHEW WITH YOUR MOUTH CLOSED ITS PROPER ETIQUETTE!" She snarled, he winced and closed his mouth reluctantly. She directly turned back to me as if she didn't physically assault a child.

I looked at her with fear in my eyes and a wavering smile.

" But yeah, he's right, Toshinori was kind enough to even lend us some money for this occasion!" She squealed, Hawks side-eyed her with narrowed eyes.

" O-oh, how nice of him." I smiled genuinely as I held my nervous hands together under the table.

" AHH! ISN'T SHE THE CUTEST WHEN SHE SMILES?!" Miruko gushed as she cupped her face with her hands.

" If I say 'yes' then you'll call me a perv, aunt Usagiyama-" Hawks sighed tiredly.

" YOU TWO ARE RELATED?!" I gawked, Hawks immediately choked on his white rice and Miruko almost spat out her drink.

" I-It's a form of endearment to call someone as a family member..." Hawks laughed nervously after gaining the ability to breathe again.

" Oh..."

------

" Say, what's your favorite color Sweets?" Hawks put a lazy hand on his cheek as he leaned on the shopping cart.

" Sweets?" I asked with a raised brow.

" That's not a color." Hawks smiled coyly.

" You know what I meant, Tweety Bird." I huffed, he let out a small laugh with a smile.

" No but seriously Sweets, what is it?"

" Well since we're already on a nickname basis before the first name basis- I like the color (f/c), Tweety."

He hummed out." You're cool."

I leaned on the shopping cart across from where he stood." I'm aware."

" HEY YOU TWO! I GOT THE MAP!" Miruko hollered at the entrance of the store while we were rolling the shopping cart over to her in the parking lot.

" MAP? FOR WHAT?" I hollered back.

" FOR THE STORE OF COURSE!" She replied as she waved her arms around. I turned around to face Hawks again.

" What the hell kind of furniture store needs a map ?"

" Ikea..." Hawks responded.

" You guys have Ikea ?!"

" Oh you too? I thought it was only an Eastern hemisphere thing. Now get in the cart." He abruptly demanded, I raised my brows at him.

" Why?"

" Teenagers like to push each other in shopping carts, I've seen it in American school teen dramas."

" That's reasonable."
