DAY 20:

The obstacle course from before became a daily task for each day. Along with other forms of training as well.

" Nice job birdie!" Hawks applauded as I made it to my 600th push-up.

" Thanks!" I blew a strand of hair out of my face as I looked below me at the book for the written exams. I read the pages with every push I did.

" Huh, well would you look at that, you've gotten pretty strong!" Miruko nodded in approval as she sat on my back while I did the exercise.

DAY 32:

" WHAT EMERGENCY CODE SHOULD YOU TELL ANOTHER PRO HERO IF A CITIZEN IS IN A BURNING BUILDING!" Toshinori shouted as I ran a 5-mile race with Miruko.

" CODE GREEN!" I yelled back, Toshinori looked back down at the textbook.

" RIGHT!"

" OI SWEET CHEEKS! WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN A VILLIAN THREATENS A HOSTAGE!" Hawks peered over at the textbook as he stood with All Might at the sidelines.

" GIVE THE VILLIAN WHAT HE REQUESTS, THEN ONCE HE HAS HIS GUARD DOWN AND RETURNS THE HOSTAGE, YOU ATTACK THE VILLAIN!" I yelped in return.

" HELL YEAH THATS THE ANSWER!" Hawks encouraged as he pumped his fist into the air.

I sighed as I laid awake in my bed that night. Don't get me wrong, I was exhausted, but I still couldn't sleep because of one thought that kept running through my mind-

' I still don't have a quirk...'

I huffed as I flipped over to pick up my phone on my nightstand.

" 3am..." I read aloud as the blinding blue light shined in my eyes. I tossed my phone to the foot of my bed lazily.

" ... Takami?..." I spoke aloud as I stared at the skylight on my ceiling. The only answer I got in return from the bird were soft snores. I chuckled.

All Might and Miruko already told me that they would gradually start helping me train my quirk over the summer, and we were 2 weeks away from the season. They made that a part of the plan to not overwhelm me with my schedule... But...

' Wouldn't just wishing for a quirk be like... cheating...? But then again, they would be pretty pissed to know that they trained me all this time without me having a quirk...'

I threw a pillow onto my face in frustration.

My thoughts then startled to spiral.

' Would I even be able to ever get back home? I haven't even seen my mom for so long, she probably thinks I'm dead or kidnapped or--'

I shook my head as my eyes began to glaze over.

I would always push back those thoughts at the back of my mind, and training has helped distract me... But I still had those long moments of longing and fear that resided in me.

But as I thought about my home... I could hear the faintest... whirring noise while I buried my head in my pillows.

' What the hell is that sound?'

I still had my face in my pillows... but... the whirring noise began to get stronger.

Wrrrrrrr...

' What the fuck-?'

I shot my head up and turned to the foot of my bed...

And watched as a blue, glowing portal began to form out of midair...

My heart dropped.

' WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK-'

" I'm getting kidnapped aren't I?" I spoke in a monotone voice but believe me, I was scared shitless.

Until something instead of a someone dropped from out of the portal. It fell onto the floor with a loud thump.

I flinched at the noise and quickly looked down at Hawks, only to find him still sound asleep and snoring with his mouth open.

The portal suddenly made an audible pop as it disappeared. Concerned, I slowly crawled to the foot of my bed, and peeked my head over at the edge.

It was my laptop...

My throat went dry as my eyes practically popped out of their sockets. I felt my heart skip a beat.

' How... how the fuck is this even here?!'

" Caerus..." I whispered in realization.

I quickly whipped my head around." Caerus! Come out here now!" I spoke in a weird whisper-yell to not wake up Takami who slept on his futon.

I felt a sudden gust of wind blow into my direction. I shuddered.

" Yes..." Caerus breathed.

" Did you do this?!" I jabbed a finger at the device on my floor.

" No..." He replied. I furrowed my brows as I slowly turned to the object in horror.

" Did... Someone else do thi-?" Caerus interrupted me.

" No..."

I sighed in relief." Thank fucking God."

There was dead silence...

" ... Really...?" Caerus answered in a pissed tone, I snorted.

" Oh-! Sorry..." I laughed softly, still careful to not wake up the bird.

" Then... who did it...?" I spoke seriously now, my breath became shaky as I looked at the laptop with a black screen.

My eyebrows raised, I promptly turned my head back to look at the gust of wind but by the time I looked back it was gone.

" Caerus...?"

No answer.

I looked back to my laptop with haunted eyes.

' I... did that...?'

DAY 33:

I pushed my legs forward with my arms extended outward. I breathed steadily as I rolled the 150 pound rock up the steep hill I was walking.

' Steady breaths, (Y/n)...' I said those words over and over again in my head to ignore the seething pain all throughout my body.

Then the image of my laptop ran through my mind as I climbed up the mountain.

" (Y/n)-"

' What did Caerus mean when he told me I was the one who created the portal...?'

" (Y/n)?"

' I didn't wish for a quirk... did I...?'

" (Y/n)...?"

' If that's the case, then... how did I even get a quir-?'

" (Y/n)!"

I flinched as I was startled out of my thoughts. I turned my head to the voice that called out to me.

" We're here, young (L/n)." All Might stood in front of me as we both stood at the top of the hill. Miruko and Hawks were waiting for me at the top as well, but they had a look of concern on their faces.

" Sweet Cheeks, are you okay?" Hawk's face dropped as he stepped over to me.

" Oh! I'm fine, just tired." I assured with a nervous chuckle, he nodded in uncertainty.

" Hey, maybe we should take a break." Miruko offered as she put a hand on my shoulder, I nodded with a warm smile.

" We'll go get some ice cream, c'mon." All Might ushered us down the hill.
