"My heart, my heart's an empty canvas"

×××

Tobiah gently put his phone down and sighed. It was currently 3am and he was sure he wouldn't get any sleep till at least 5.

He sighed again, thinking of the busy day he had ahead. Interviews, photoshoots and more interviews. Shooting didn't start for another week so he still had some time left to relax.

He would've still been sleeping if a certain someone with the name of Adaline hadn't woken him up. He was a light sleeper so when he heard the 5th notification sound, he had no choice but to answer.

He was mad but he couldn't stay mad because it was Adaline. A smile crept onto his face as he thought about her.

She was unlike anyone he had ever come across. She was hilarious and from the moment they start texting, a smile would be present on his face.

He liked that she was determined. She knew what she wanted for her life and she didn't want anything to stop her from getting to her dreams.

Adaline was also stubborn. Very stubborn. But he could deal with that. Adaline was a lot of good things. She was just...her. And that's what he liked about her.

It was strange how they met. Even stranger how they're still talking. But that was the thing about Adaline, you just felt drawn to her. Bennett had said the same thing.

Tobiah didn't know Adaline as well as she knew him. He also had a feeling that she was hiding something from him but when she was ready, she would tell him. And if she wasn't, he would be okay with that.

After all, he was a lot happier than he had been in a long time. He wouldn't trade meeting her for anything in the world.

Tobiah then remembered her favourite song. It was funny how obsessed she was with it but the reason why she liked it was really heart warming.

He listened to it the night she told him it was her favourite song and now he was going to listen to it again. Now, as the song echoed in his room, Tobiah understood why she liked it so much.

Unlike Adaline, Tobiah felt like the painter. And the realization of something dawned of him.

Adaline was his work of art.

Hey Besties. I just want to apologise if this chapter isn't well written. I have three exams this week and I'm stressing.

The last sentence is hinting at something. Honestly, you would know this if you listened to the song, bestie.

Anyway, I hope you liked this chapter since it's Tobiah's pov. Don't forget to comment, share and vote.

Favourite chapter so far?

I'll see you in the next chapter. Bye besties
