After this prolonged trip I was at ease to be home in my own space with my children at peace, finally.

That trip was a wake up call and nothing short of what I expected.

"We still never talked mom." Power interrupted, causing me to look up from my emails from work.

"Power baby, mommy is really busy. I promise we will talk."  I rambled trying to buy time before looking back at my work orders.

"Ok.. I just have a question. For next father's appreciation will my dad be there?"

I exhaled, giving power my undivided attention pausing briefly before answering, " Power your dad isn't okay right now. He just lost his dad and well, him and mommy have a lot to work  out before you guys can really be introduced." I explained trying to find the words.

"But He said at the hospital... that he would try to get me. He really wants me to be with him, do you think that's fair?"

"Power, Daddy is just really hurt right now and he isn't going to take the best of care of you if he were to have you." I reached out taking power by his hands and guiding him to my lap. "That's why it's important that you stay with mommy until daddy gets better. I'm sure he loves you but he just can't be around right now." I explained softly as power looked in a daze following my words closely.

"So... when... he gets better I can spend time with him and he can come to my school?" Power asked looking me into the eyes.

"Maybe... I can't promise, but maybe."

It seemed as if we were having these conversations more and more often. The following morning Power asked me about Kamron again as he was being dropped off for school.

"Will I get to see grandpa Gregory?"

I looked down at my phone where I had been ignoring Kamrons moms text about attending the funeral and replied.

"Mommy will see baby. Have a great day at school." I uttered kissing him and turning to walk off.

As I returned to my car where the teacher was awaiting, Steph approached from left field.

"Hello Ms.Madison." He greeted standing in between my door.

"Hello Steph." I replied withholding a blush.

"Seems like you've been gone for weeks, how was your trip?"

"It was fine."

"Sounds good, I'm still waiting on that dinner you promised."

"Oh forgive me, I'll plan something soon."

"I'll hold you to it again. Don't forget about me beautiful woman." He chuckled making me smile even wider.

"I won't."  I replied feeling at ease in the first time in a long time.

"Call me sometime, I wanna pick that brain of yours." Steph added before our departure.

Allure was fast asleep per usual so our drive to work was a breeze as normal.

I dropped her off to Ms.Youmus who was beyond excited to see her, and made my first stop to Morgan's room.

She was on suicide watch after an incident on the weekend.

Her room was oftly  cold and she was lying half awake with a wet face because she had Obviously been crying. Her arms were tied to the bed and she just looked pitiful.

"Hey beautiful girl." I softly spoke standing over her and dabbing her face with the tissue out of my pocket.

"How are you?" I asked as her eyes opened fully and she realized it was me.

Threw all of the medicine she grunted forcing a smile, trying to sit up only to realize she was strapped still.

"Don't fight it baby, sit still." I softly recommended rubbing her coils of hair with my fingers, detangling her defined curls gently as she adhered to my suggestion.

Her eyes finally opened fully after moments of our silence.

"I'm sorry I left you. Do you want to talk about it?"

Morgan groaned a bit before shaking her head no, yet mumbling.

"nightmares."

I read her lips asking, "You're having nightmares again?"

Morgan moaned yes, withholding tears.

"Don't leave me again."

"I won't, I'm sorry Love. I'm sad you didn't want to stay here with me though."

"The pain."

"I know but you can always talk to one of the nurses they're here for you as well as the psychiatrist."

Morgan's face scrounged as she disagreed. "They don't care. They've never been a victim, they only read the text book and try this bullshit that makes it worse. They're killing me, I can't be here anymore. I can't go home, I don't even have a home. My mom doesn't care about me."

"Morgan, do you want to leave this place baby?"

"I'm scared where will I go?"

"So you did this so they wouldnt release you earlier?" I replied concerned.

Morgan grew silent knowing we both were aware of the answer.

"Where will I go? I'm better off dead anyway."

I stared in a complete moment before answering.

"I can help you find a stable place, you just can't give up on me baby girl." I said knowing I had no plan but in the depths of my thoughts I was considering taking her in as if I didn't have enough on my plate.
