Skeleton's POV~

~

Warmth surrounds me as I land on the ground beneath me. "You can open your eyes, Skeleton."

Opening my eyes, I saw an impossible-looking world before me. Lava, odd-looking blocks, mobs I've never seen before and- is that a Pigman walking in lava?!

"Oh wow," I mumble in awe. This place is hellish-- I mean, there are lava and fire everywhere! Wither chuckles at my reaction and pats me on the back. "Trust me, it's really not as good as it seems."

My eyes remained trained on the pigman walking in lava. How is it still alive?! Can Pigman do that?!

"Wither, how the hell is that pigman doing that," I mumble. "I think all mobs in the Nether are immune to lava and fire," he replies.

"Wait, are you immune to it too?"

"Heh, yeah, I am," he replies sheepishly. My eyes widen in disbelief. "Wait, really?! Show me!"

He walks into a pool of lava and just stands there for a while. Woah. I wish I was a wither skeleton. I mean, that's amazing!

"Wow," I say, breathless. "That's so cool. So Ghast and Pigman can do that too?" Nodding, he steps out of the lava. "Yeah, it's just that they don't live here like I do. So they probably don't know."

"This place is so amazing! I've never seen any of these blocks before!" I don't hide my enthusiasm anymore-- more like I can't contain it. Wither chuckles adorably behind me, and I blush.

A question that I've always pondered about him is how he's a hacker. Like, how'd he do it? I've always wanted to ask him, but I've never had the gut too. It's amazing that he can do almost anything- he can teleport, create anything, heck, he could build anything with a snap! I was always envious of his abilities, but also curious at the same time.

There were many blocks with spiral like shapes. Weirdly, every time I walked over them, I felt breathless and a bit weaker. My walking would slow down until I walked on the red molten blocks (Netherrack, Skeleton xd). Curious but too embarrassed to ask, I follow Wither to his house.

Wither's house was made out of a raspberry-colored brick, with a few purplish bricks. There were pools of lava on both sides, and flames were in random places. I honestly expected Wither to build something out of diamond blocks-- I mean, why wouldn't he? He has the ability to create any block, just by thinking about it.

The house is unique in its own way though. I actually really like the way it looks.

"Wow, I've never even seen those blocks before!" He grabs my hand and shows me around his house. Blushing at the contact (cliche, I know), I keep my head down to avoid him noticing.

Wither's POV~

Without thinking much of it, I grab Skeleton's hand and show him around my house. He seems very impressed by it, and his enthusiasm is adorable. Wait- why did I just think that?

My face heats up from the thought, but I brush it off quickly and continue to show him around.

"I think I like this place better than the overworld," he says. Surprised with the statement, I asked, "Why?"

"Well, you're all immune to lava, you have these awesome looking blocks, and you don't need to worry about sunlight because there isn't any! It's basically threatless!"

I wouldn't be so sure about that, I thought. "Mobs in the Nether attack each other, so it's actually more dangerous." He blinks. "Really? So other wither skeletons attack you?"

"Yeah, wither skeletons hate each other." Especially me, because I wasn't born one.

Almost as if the mobs outside heard us, I heard banging on my door. "Wither, are those the other mobs...?"

"Yeah, stay here." Drawing my sword, I charge at the door.

Skeleton's POV~

Wither knows how to use a sword? Wow, he's amazing!

I follow after him, bow in hand. "Wither, wait up!" I shout. By the time I'm there, all the mobs' inventories were scattered on the ground. Most of them were wither skeletons- I noticed that they all had stone swords with a weird enchantment. "Wither, are you okay?"

Nodding, he smiles, but something seemed off. He didn't seem happy at all- his smile was forced, faked. "...Are you sure?"

"Yeah, of course I am, why wouldn't I be?"

"Just making sure!" I lie. "Also, I didn't know you use a sword! I thought all skeletons use bows, but I guess I'm wrong!" I say, changing the subject.

He frowns for a moment then nods. "Yeah, most wither skeletons use swords."

What's up with him? Did I say something? I thought, sighing. "Do you want to keep the loot?" he asks, pointing at the piles of what used to be the wither skeletons' inventories. There were a few gems, but mostly swords.

"It's okay, you can keep it. You killed them, so it's yours," I say. Chucking, he uses his hacking ability to place the items into my inventory. "Wait, no- why-?"

"Well, I did forget to return the loot from the players that attacked you. I also placed their items as well," he says. Taking a brief look at my inventory, I spot diamonds, swords, and a few arrows. "W-what? Wither, there's no way they had these...," I mumble. Realization hits me when I realize Wither created them.

"T-thanks, Wither, but I can't take these," I say, dropping the items. They reappear in my inventory seconds later, making me pout. "Witherrrrr..."

"What?" he asks innocently. I facepalm and chuckle. "You know that I can't use most of these items, right?" He blinks and asks, "Why not?"

"Well, I don't know how to use a sword or any melee weapon, so diamonds are pretty much useless," I say, "and I don't really need these things either-!"

"I can teach you how to use a sword, if you want," he offers. I blush at the idea, but quickly recover and reply, "R-really?" Nodding, he tells me to draw my sword.

"Be careful not to stab yourself with it, it's infused with the wither effect," he warns. "Wither effect...?" I repeat, confused.

"Basically, it slowly depletes your health. If you get hit with it too many times, you'll probably die. Also, try not to hit me with it, because it takes a lot of damage from wither skeletons."

He draws his own sword in his inventory. "Alright, so first, start with..."

↦Timeskip brought to you by Skeleton calling Netherrack Molten Blocks↤

~

Hours went by, but it only felt like minutes. Wither taught me many things; battle stances, basic attacks, and defense. I got noticeably better at handling a sword, but not enough to be able to fight with it.

"Skeleton, we have school in twenty minutes," Wither says suddenly. Groaning in realization, I put the sword back into my inventory. I never thought learning how to use a sword would be fun, but I guess it depends on who's teaching me.

Wither throws a cake at me, and I barely catch it. Wither starts to snicker uncontrollably, and I blush in embarrassment. "Wither, don't do that!" I hiss. He continues to snicker and says, "C'mon, we're going to be late."

I roll my eyes and swallow the cake whole, and close my eyes. Moments later, we arrive. I didn't realize how tight I was holding Wither's hand until now, so I blush and pull away. He seems to be a bit hurt by this, but shrugs it off and sits down.

Herobrine looks up at me in surprise. He's probably surprised because I'm not late for once.

Staying up all day finally took its toll on me- I felt like I was going to pass out on the spot. I wasn't light-headed or anything, just extremely tired. Maybe I'll close my eyes for just a second...

"Skeleton!" Zombie shouts, and I jolt awake in surprise. He hugs me full-force, suffocating me. "Z-zombie, p-put me down!"

"Oops, sorry," he says with a chuckle, "So, how was hanging out with your boyfriend?"

I elbow him hard in the guts, and he grunts in pain. "He's not my boyfriend!"

"Yeah, he is, and ouch," Zombie says. "Says who?"

"Says everyone in the class, duh. Even Herobrine ships it." WAIT, WHAT?!

"You told him?!" I whisper-shout. He shakes his head and says, "Blame Pigman, he's the one that did it."

I'm going to murder that bitch after class, I thought, glaring at Pigman. Pigman probably overheard the conversation- he stuck his tongue out at me. I would've killed him right then and there if I wasn't in class.

Wither seemed oblivious to the whole situation. In fact, I was pretty sure he was asleep. Staring at him for a brief moment, I blush and turn away. Zombie smirks and rolls his eyes. "You totally like him, Skeleton. It's so fucking obvious."

Do I really make it that obvious? I thought, blushing. Still in denial, I reply, "No, I don't! Am I not allowed to take a quick look behind me?!" Zombie snorts and pats me on the back. "Dude, that wasn't a quick look. That was at least five whole minutes, probably more."

Groaning, I say, "I hate you sometimes."

"I know," he replies with a wink.
