I woke up to the familiar feelings of soft lips pecking delicate kisses all over my face. My lips turned up into a smile and I let out a small giggle.

I opened my eyes slowly to meet my mates beautiful gaze.
"Good morning gorgeous" he grinned and leaned down to peck my lips.
"Morning" I yawned in reply, rubbing my eyes to remove the sleepy haze from them.

"And good morning to you baby girl" Noah mumbled as he moved lower to place a kiss on my enlarged stomach. I smiled down at him as he continued placing small pecks all over my stomach and mumbling to our little one.

"Have you woken up Ethan yet?" I asked him as I moved to sit up and he immediately assisted me.
"Not yet. You get ready and I'll go wake him" Noah said before kissing my lips once more before leaving the room.

Ethan Zachery King was born November 16th at 5:32pm. He just turned one last month and we are all celebrating our second Christmas together as a family with our little girl on the way.

I quickly threw one of Noah's shirts over me before waddling carefully downstairs. I paused at the doorframe that led into the kitchen and smiled at the sight in front of me.

Noah held Ethan on his hip as he flipped the pancake on the pan while swaying to the music that played on the radio. Ethan was throwing his hands in the air and laughing along.
I slowly made my way over and Ethan squealed when he saw me and held his arms out.

"Hi baby" I cooed at him as I took him from Noah's arms into my own. Ethan giggled as he rested his hands on my cheeks and wiggled his nose against mine.
"Mama!" He exclaimed making me grin at his words.

He spoke his first word about a month ago and much to Noah's disappointment, Ethan's first word was 'mama'. He now also says dada though.

"Breakfast is served" Noah announced as he placed the last pancake on the plate and picked up two plates before setting them on the counter. After placing two glasses of juice beside the plates, Noah took Ethan from my arms and help me sit on the stool before sitting beside me with Ethan in his lap.

We ate in comfortable silence, Ethan's gurgles filling the silent room every now and then, as Noah fed him small pieces of pancake and fruit.

"What time is everyone arriving?" I asked Noah as I sat up, carrying our empty plates to the sink.
"They should be here-" he began before he was cut off by the sound of the doorbell, "-now"

I laughed as he stood up to open the door with Ethan clapping excitedly.
I quickly finished washing up before joining everyone in the living room.

"LILY!" Charlie exclaimed happily before running to me and hugging me as best she could considering the baby bump was in the way.

Charlie and Luke are as happy as ever. Charlie found out she was pregnant two months ago and you could see the small baby bump beginning to form under her sweater. Luke was over the moon when he heard the news. He couldn't stop smiling the day they told us and he wouldn't leave Charlie's side.

I released Charlie from my hold and made my way over to Zander and Hazel.
"Hey big bro" I greeted as I wrapped my arms around his torso and he wrapped his around my shoulder.
"Hey baby sister" he replied before pulling away and looking down at my stomach, "how's the baby doing?"

"Very good. She's a little kicker and enjoys kicking her mommy's insides" I joked making him and Hazel laugh. I moved out of Zander's hold and carefully bent down to wrap Hazel in a quick hug.

Eliza Jane Grey was Hazel and Zander's daughter who is two months younger then Ethan. They all live at the castle with my father but we all make sure to visit each other regularly and Ethan and Eliza have become the best of friends.
Zander is undergoing training to take over from my father as Vampire King and his coronation is expected to be within the next year. The pair also decided to wait on having anymore kids until Zander has taken over and everything is settled.

"Where's your favourite brothers' hug Lily?" a voice asked from behind me. I turned around and quickly wrapped my other big brother in a hug.
"We all know I'm her favourite Cain" Zander scoffed causing us to laugh.

"I beg to differ" Cain responded before pulling away from our hug and flicking Zander's forehead. I smiled as they continued to bicker playfully then turned to give Marie a hug.

"How are you doing?" I asked Marie once we pulled away.

Since the attack a year ago everything has thankfully settled. The first two months were a bit rocky, many didn't trust Cain or the rogues who joined us. But after careful observation during those months and a lot of reassurance from me to the pack, everyone eased up and soon we all lived in harmony.
Cain and Marie's relationship was also rocky in the beginning but improved immensely. They are very happy, aside from one thing.

They have been trying for a child but unfortunately it hasn't worked. There was one time they had got lucky and she became pregnant but a few weeks later she had miscarried. Marie and Cain were heart broken.

"I'm doing ok. Sophie's back at school and she's loving it" Marie replied before we both turned our gazes to where Sophie was playing with Ethan and Eliza with building blocks.

Poor Sophie was traumatised from her time at my old pack and had nightmares almost every night for months. She met with a child therapist twice a week and that helped her a lot. Sophie was staying with Marie and Cain and this year they decided to enrol her into the local school. At first Sophie was scared to be separated from her sister and interacting with new people but after a few weeks she had settled in and she's doing great now.

"Has she made friends?" I asked.
"Yeah, mainly from the pack though. Everyone was very understanding with her and help her out if she needs it" Marie smiled softly.

Cain then rejoined us and wrapped his arm around Marie's waist, placing a soft kiss on her head. I smiled at both of them before my eyes caught someone behind them.

"Hey dad!" I exclaimed happily as I made my way to him. He met me half way and pulled me into one of his bear hugs.
"Hey princess. How're you doing?" He asked as he pulled away before glancing down at my stomach.

"Really good aside from all the pregnancy side affects" I laughed as I looked down at my tummy while rubbing it with my hand gently.
"I remember when your mother had you. You cried whenever you were left alone without one of us with you. The boys adored you and always talked about the things they planned on doing with you, like teaching you how to play soccer, protecting you from all the bad guys" my dad chuckled as he recalled memories with a small smile on his face.

"I wish we were able to do those things when we were younger" I said sadly with a small frown.
"Me too baby girl, me too" he sighed. I quickly wrapped my arms around him then he did the same.

"It's ok though because we all have each other now" I told him as I smiled up at him, my chin resting on his chest. He nodded and a smile of his own grew before he kissed my forehead.

"Mama!" I heard Ethan exclaim. I pulled away from my dad and looked at Ethan to see him crawling towards me. I sat on the floor with my back against the couch as Ethan made his way over.

"Hi baby" I cooed as I picked him up and pecked his nose. He squealed and placed his small hands on my cheeks. He wriggled his nose before his eyes moved to something behind me.
I looked behind me and smiled at my dad who had now sat behind us.

"Ethan can you say grandpa?" I asked him, emphasising the 'grandpa' hoping he'll try and sound it out.
"Gan..pa" he tried before squealing happily at his little accomplishment.

"Good job baby" I cheered as I picked him up placing little kisses all over his little face as he giggled. I pulled away and looked up at my dad who was grinning widely before I handed him Ethan. He graciously took him from my arms and began playing with him.

I turned away and caught Noah's eye. He made his way over and crouched in front of me.

"Any word from your parents?" I asked him.
"The storm is still bad so they have to wait until it clears up in order to fly out. They send their love though and will be back as soon as possible" he replied.

Noah's parents went on a holiday to Europe two weeks ago and had planned to be back for Christmas. Unfortunately on the day they were due to fly back, a bad storm hit and all flights were cancelled.

"Well there's always New Years" I shrugged and he nodded in agreement.

"Present time!" Charlie exclaimed before rushing to the tree with Hazel following behind her.
We all gathered round the tree and sat on the couches and the floor. Noah sat on the couch while I sat on the floor between his legs, resting my head on his thigh. My father sat Ethan in my lap before retaking his seat beside Noah.

"Present number one is for... Ethan!" Charlie announces as she picked up a small wrapped box and passed it to me. I put the present in front of Ethan before showing him what to do.

It took less then a minute for him to cop onto what to do and he began shredding the wrapping paper, giggling and squealing the whole time.
I grinned at his actions before helping him open the box.

"Look Ethan! It's a toy car" I gasped as I handed it to him. He held it up to his face as he looked at it with wide, curious eyes.

"Present two is for... mamma bear" Hazel spoke and handed me the present. I smiled thankfully to her and looked at the tag to see it was from Charlie. I shot my eyes towards her to see her smirking.

I pursed my lips before removing the wrapping and peaking inside. I quickly closed the box before glaring at her. She winked then continued handing out presents.

"What was it babe?" Noah asked through our link. I looked back at him to see him trying to hide a small smile.
"I know you saw it" I huffed and rolled my eyes as I turned around again.

"Can't wait to try it" he purred which caused a shiver to travel down my spine as images popped into my mind. I quickly shook my head, getting rid of the images and focused back on everyone.

I heard Noah chuckle behind me so I pinched his thigh making him yelp.
"Ouchy. That was necessary" he pouted as he rubbed his leg trying to sooth the pain.

Presents continued to get passed around and soon enough the floor was covered with torn wrapping paper and boxes. Joyous laughter and chatter filled the room.

I looked up at the sound of a throat clearing and saw Cain and Marie standing up.
"We have an announcement to make" Marie spoke nervously as Cain stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion before I saw Cain spread his hands out on her stomach and sent me a wink.
"No way!" I squealed before using Noah legs to help me stand up and I quickly made my way over to them.

I wrapped Marie in a tight hug before repeating my actions with Cain.
"Wait, what?" Luke asked and I turned to look at everyone who all seemed confused.
"Ugh you dumbos! She's got a bun in the oven" I exclaimed while rolling my eyes.

Everyone burst into cheers when I made the news more clear to them and they all made their way to the couple to congratulate them.
I moved to sit by my dad who had already given the pair his congratulations.

"You know something?" I said as I rested my head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around mine. He looked down at me questioningly before nodding at me to continue.

"You still haven't told me the story about you and mom" I told him which made him smile.
"I'll tell you someday princess. Don't you worry" he chuckled and pulled me closer to his side.

I looked around at my family that surrounded me and rested my hand on my stomach as I thought of the family members who will be joining us in the future.

I looked at my mate and pup who were playing with Ethan's new toys. The smile on my face widened at the scene. Noah's eyes lifted upward to meet mine before he sent me a wide grin.

"I love you" he said through our link as waves of love and warmth made their way through also.
"I love you too" I replied softly before he focused his attention back on our son.

My life in the beginning was tough but it made me who I am today. I've met some terrible people but I've also met some amazing people who've changed my life.

And as I looked at everyone in the room, my family, I couldn't help but think that this..

This is happiness.
