I looked at the clock, to see it was already 3:50 P.M.

Great!

I must have fallen asleep, after getting beat up. Cameron told me to text him after I asked Jaxon, but he isn’t here and I don’t have my phone and there is no way, I’m gonna go to Maverick and ask for my phone back. He would literally kill me.

Thibbault? No, definitely not. He will beat me up so bad, that I wouldn’t even be able to hang out.

Elliot? I don't know, but he is still a bit better than them. Only a little bit.

I took a deep breath and walked downstairs, where I saw Elliot sitting on a couch.

He is going to kill me.

"E-Elliot?" I called out, he glanced at me before he rolled his eyes.

It hurts to know that they're my brothers, yet they make me feel like I’m not even related to them.

"What?" He growled, causing my voice to disappear.

When I didn’t speak, he grabbed my wrist and twisted it, causing me to wince in pain.

"What!?" He yelled.

"I n-need my p-phone to c-call Jaxon." I managed to stutter out.

"Speak without a stutter." He said, before he twisted my wrist, once again. I stood there silently, to scared to speak. "Speak up." I took in a deep breath.

"I need my phone to call Jaxon." I whispered, staring at the ground.

"Why do you wanna call Dad?" He asked, with a dark glare placed on his face.

"I want to go hang out with my friends, so I need to ask him," I mumbled.

"Oh, you have friends? They're so unlucky to befriend someone as pathetic as you." He smacked my head, before standing up. I stumbled back, scared.

He’s already beaten me up once, he wouldn’t beat me up again, right?

He just rolled his eyes and went upstairs.

It was no use, I don't even know why I even asked him in first place. I looked up from the ground and noticed something, there was a landline phone on the side of the couch.

"Why do they have a landline phone?" I asked myself.

It's probably for emergencies or for something else I don't know about.

My eyes twinkled and a big grin appeared on my face, as I got a brilliant idea. I ran upstairs to my room and walked to where my backpack was. I quickly unzipped my backpack and took out my science textbook, where I wrote friends' phone number down.

I grabbed my textbook and ran downstairs to the telephone. I took a deep breath, before dialling Jaxon's number.

"Hello?"

"Oh, hey Connor wassup?"

"Um, I was wondering, if I could hang out with my friends."

"Of course, you can! Where's your phone?" He asked, causing me to gulp.

"Th-e battery's low." I lied and heard him chuckle in the background.

"Okay, no problem. Be back by 6 and have fun!" I smiled and hung up.

Whoa. That was fast. I glanced at Cameron's number, before I called it.

"Hey Cameron! It's Connor!"

"Yo, did you talk to your Dad?"

"Yeah, he said yes. So where should I meet you?"

"We're meeting in the park."

"I-I don't where the park is."

"McDonald's?"

"I don't know where that is either." I sighed.

“It’s fine, you're new here. Where do you live? I can pick you up."

"Beverly Hills!"

"Cool! It's not too far from Santa Monica."

"Okay, thanks!"

I walked to my room to get changed, as I could see patched of blood on my jeans.

Just as I finished getting changed, I heard a horn beep from outside. I looked outside my window to see Cameron taking a selfie. I chuckled, running down the stairs and out the front door.

"Sup, man!" He smiled at me, as he slipped his phone into his pocket.

"Hey!" I returned the smile.

"You live in a mansion?" He asked, gaping at it.

"Uh, y-yeah!" I mumbled.

I stared at his motorbike, before blinking twice.

I walked over and slowly climbed onto the bike, taking a deep breath, before he drove off.

I was too busy admiring the view of LA, that I didn't even realize we had reached the park, until I heard a Cameron chuckle.

I quickly climbed off the bike and walked over to Lucas and Shelby, who seemed to be fighting over something.

"Theater"

"Restaurant!"

"Theater!"

"Restaurant!"

"Gannet!"

"Stupid Cinephile!"

"Lucas, I wanna watch a movie." Shelby said, angrily.

"But I want to go and eat." He argued back.

"You're always hungry." She yelled.

"Jeez, what's going on?" Cameron asked, as we both shared confused glances.

"Gannet!"

"Stupid Cinephile!"

"Guys! Stop it! Is anyone gonna tell me what's going on?" He asked while I tried to hold back a laugh. They were fighting like kids.

"Last weekend, we decided that we would go to the theater and watch 'Zombieland:2' today, but this Gannet wants to go to a restaurant as always." She yelled.

"Well, only you wanted to do that." Lucas said.

"Stupid 13 year olds." Cameron frowned at them, shaking his head.

"Immature 14 year old." They both yelled back in unison.

I was laughing, so hard at their childishness. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Even, my stomach began to ache from laughter. It probably wasn’t even that funny, but because it was the first time I had seen anything like this, so it was to me.

"You guys are hilarious." I laughed.

"You know what? We should ask Connor. He hasn't been anywhere." I stopped laughing and bit my lip, as Cameron came up with a suggestion.

"Yeah, you're right." Lucas said, while Shelby nodded. They all turned to look at me.

"I don't know." I shrugged.

"How about we go to the park and then we can go and eat in a restaurant?" Cameron suggested. "It would help us to get to know Connor better."

"I’m in." Shelby said.

"Me too." Lucas said.

"Me three." I chuckled.
