Tommy remembers this day more clearly then he would like to admit. It was a long time ago, he was probably about 9, but every time he is around Dream it feels almost like it was yesterday.

The older was babysitting him since neither Wilbur nor Techno could do it and most of the other adults or teens had something they needed to do that night, which is what gave us the iconic duo if Dream and Tommy.

While this was not a duo most wanted to be around or wanted to leave alone for a long period of time it was sadly the only option for Phil.

————————

"Okay Tommy, please for the love of XD be nice and don't be hectic tonight." Phil said in a pleading tone, "I know you don't like Dream all that much but he's a good kid and the only person available tonight."

Tommy looked away from Phil and huffed out an annoyed, "fine."

Phil smiled and hugged the boy, "thanks mate."

Ding dong

Phil quickly walked over to the door an opened it, of course, on the other side was Dream. He looked pretty similar to how he does now just younger and a lot shorter.

"Hello Mr. Minecraft." Dream greeted with a smile before turning to Tommy, "Hey Toms."

"Don't call me that." Tommy shot back quickly, "I'm not a child."

Phil sighed and shook his head and Dream slightly giggled at the statement.

"Sorry Dream he's just cranky cause he hasn't eaten yet." Phil said, "if you could just feed him that would be amazing, there's leftovers in the fridge but if he doesn't want that I trust you to use the stove."

"Okay sir Ill make sure to feed him." Dream mentioned.

"Alright the Dream, please come inside and I'll head out." Phil stated.

Phil slightly moved out of the way so Dream could step inside and he could step out. When this dumb movement your author didn't think through was over Dream kindly smiled as Phil said a goodbye before shutting he door.

The second the door had closed Dream turned to Tommy, "okay you little brat, what cha want for dinner?"

"None of your business, I can make it myself." Tommy stated while walking away from Dream a towards the kitchen.

Dream grabbed Tommy's shoulder tightly, but not tight enough to hurt the boy, and simply shook his head.

"Why don't you say words?" Tommy judged, "it's frickin weird when you're just silent."

Dream slightly rolled his eyes, "Tommy you're not touching the stove, just tell me what you want and I'll make it."

"No!" Tommy yelled, "I wanna make it myself!"

"Tommy please, I'll even let you play on my phone while I do that." Dream reasoned

Luckily the mention of a phone got Tommy to shut up. The younger blonde thought for a second about the deal and then nodded his head at Dream.

The teen smiled and put his hand on Tommy's upper back to lead him into the kitchen.

"Alrighty what do you wanna eat?" Dream asked

Tommy thought for a moment, "how about noodles?"

Dream nodded and then walked over to the pantry to find where they kept their noodles. It wasn't hard to find them and it was even easier to cook them.

Tommy stayed quite most of the time, too captivated by Dream's phone to actually attempt to misbehave. Surprisingly, even getting Tommy off his phone to come eat also proved to not be a challenge.

'Maybe babysitting Tommy won't be that bad.' Dream thought.

However, Tommy isn't simple like that. So when Dream heard a crash in the kitchen while he was disappointed, he can't say he was surprised.

Dream quickly ran to the kitchen and saw Tommy laying on the with broken glass shards and cookies surrounding him.

Dream stared in pure shock for a few moments trying to figure out the right words for this situation.

"Tommy, what did you even do!?" It came angrier then Dream wanted but honestly he feels that is justified.

Tommy stood up and simply shrugged his shoulders. As Tommy tried to get himself out of the mess of glass and cookies Dream stopped him.

"No, don't move, you'll hurt yourself," Dream stated, "let me go grab a broom and dust pan so you won't hurt your foot."

Dream quickly walked to the laundry room however while he was looking for the items Tommy walked in front of the door. It was obvious he was hurt, his eyes looked as if they were holding in tears, and there was some blood on his hand.

"Tommy, I told you not to move!" Dream yelled in panic and anger.

"I know but I didn't wanna wait!" Tommy defended

Dream groaned in annoyance, walked over to Tommy, and picking him up to carry him to the bathroom.

Tommy was placed on the counter and Dream quickly grabbed hydrogen peroxide and bandages.

After tending to the cut Dream was grateful the cut was extremely shallow. Not needing stitches was always a plus.

"Okay Tommy listen, when I tell you not to do something I need you to not do it." Dream lectured

Tommy rolled his eyes at the teen and tuned him out for the rest of the bandaging process.

—————————-

Hours had passed since the glass incident and it was currently time to put Tommy to bed.

"Alright come on bud, it's time to get you tucked into bed." Dream told Tommy hoping the boy would be too tired to protest.

Sadly though, Tommy was not.

"But I'm not tireddddd!" Tommy whined

"I don't care." Dream stated, "your dad told me to get you to bed by 10 and I let you stay up till 10:30 so now it's time for bed."

Despite being slightly annoyed by this Tommy still walked to his room with Dream following behind.

"Do you want anything before you go to bed?" Dream asked

Tommy only shook his head at Dream. The teen nodded and quickly told the young boy good night before walking out of the room and going to sit in the living room.

Dream figured it would be a good idea to wait for a little while just incase Tommy tried anything.

——————-
Not even 30 minutes.

Dream caught the child trying to sneak into the dining room to secretly play with toys; Tommy just wasn't quite enough.

Needless to say Dream quickly got onto the boy and brought him straight back to bed with the simple words of, "Tommy, stay in bed.

Ignoring the tall teen's instructions, like normal, Tommy continued to get out of bed all throughout the night. Even at 1:00 am Tommy just wouldn't quit.

Dream however was tired, and was done with Tommy's antics. So the next, and final, time Tommy got out of bed he wasn't given such a light warning.

————————-

It was exactly 1:38 am and Dream had just heard the sound of one of Tommy's toys dropping to the ground.

Dream briskly walked over to the dining room and, unsurprisingly, saw Tommy playing with his favorite stuffed animal.

The child's story seemed to be something along the lines of his stuffed animal saving his goat friend from the evil green teletubby.

While the scene was undeniably adorable Dream was still exhausted and being more firm with Tommy seemed to to be the only way to solve his issue.

"Tommy, I thought I told you to stay in bed!" Dream yelled

Tommy quickly turned around to look at Dream. "Yeah you did." He stated plainly

"So why are you in here playing with your toys?" questioned Dream.

"Because I felt like it." The proud look on Tommy's face while he said this truly annoyed Dream to an unexplainable extent.

"You know what," and finally, Dream snapped.

"I think you need to be exiled Tommy." Dream announced proudly.

Throwing Tommy over his shoulder Dream began to walk towards the guest bedroom where he was supposed to sleep in tonight.

"DREAM WHAT THE HECK, PUT ME DOWN!" Tommy yelled kicking the teens back.

Dream ignored the boy and just continued walking to the closet.

When he finally walked inside he closed the door, locked it, set down the still screaming Tommy on the far end of the closet, and sat I front of the door guarding it.

Tommy ran over to Dream and tried to fight him to reach the doorknob and unlock it.

"Dream stop being a jerk and let me out!" Tommy yelled very frustrated by this situation.

"No Tommy, you are in exile now and I will be staying here with you till I can trust you to stay in bed." Dream explained calmly.

"No!" Tommy screeched, "I demand to be let out now!"

Dream rolled his eyes as he gave a small laugh at the young boys arrogance. He could've sworn he had a similar situation to this happen to him when he was Tommy's age.

——————————-

It took a whole other hour until Tommy tired himself out. Currently he was laying on his side of the closet with his eyes barley open.

"Tommy, you ready to go to sleep?" Dream asked nicely

Tommy didn't respond, instead he made himself stand up and walk over to Dream.

In all honesty Dream expected Tommy to try and give one last fight for the knob however that's not what happened at all. Instead Tommy simply walked over to Dream and payed his head on the teens lap making a makeshift pillow of the boy.

Dream slightly giggled, "come on Toms let's get you to bed."

Dream stood up then picked up Tommy carefully. He then proceeded to unlock the closet door and walk Tommy back to his room.

It didn't take long to get there but Tommy was basically asleep by the time Dream opened his door. He tried his best not to wake the sleeping child but laying someone down in a bed without them knowing is harder then one would think.

Dream tried to just be quick with tucking Tommy in and the second he was done he tried to leave the room but before he closed the door he heard Tommy's small voice.

"Dream," Tommy said, "goodnight I love you and I'm sorry for being bad."

Dream smiled, "I love you too Tommy and don't worry I forgive you."

Dream slowly closed Tommy's door and the walked back to the guest bedroom so he could get ready to bed himself.
