Jason reaches out and takes it back again. Had he done something wrong? Zach was so scared...and why...who did that to him?

He knew Zach had family problems at home but...most people at this school did, didn't they? Divorces, marriage alliances, neglect. If it was family issues Zach would tell him. He always did. But recently something was up about Zach, but Jason couldn't pin down what and it bothered him. Zach was hiding, had been hiding for a long time, something from Jason, and he could feel it too. But this was something different.

Jason leaned against the wooden walls of the gym. The sound of footsteps echo across the halls and faint shouts bounce. He spins a basketball in his hands, thinking. His mind swirls with possibilities, but nothing comes up.

"Jason what are you doing there?" Someone calls him in the team.

He snaps awake. "Just a second," he replies and jogs towards the court.

--

Zach doesn't want to stay. He turns to leaves, his hand already at the doorknob, but he is stopped as Sage pulls him back. Zach shivers against his will. Sage notices this and lets go.

"Sorry..." Sage says. And a moment later he adds. "For this, for everything."

There is no reply, as Zach continues looking at the door. He is scared to turn back around. If he does, he knows he won't be able to ignore him anymore.

"I can't ask you for forgiveness," Sage's voice cracks. "But I was overcome by fear...I wanted you to stay with me--I was so scared you'll leave me and I--"

Then Zach hears the soft patter of water, dropping onto the tiled floors. He spins around and finds Sage, eyes trained towards the floor, biting his lip and silent tears streaming from his face.

Zach he walks towards him, hand reaching out as if to wipe the tears away. "Why would you think that--" There is a fear that well inside him. "Don't, please--"

Zach isn't sure if this is the right way to go. Can he forgive Sage so easily? Could Sage forgive him? He doesn't want to let this feeling go--not now, not ever.

"Why did you do that to me?"

"I didn't want you to leave--and I didn't know what else to do--"

"And that picture?"

"I don't have it anymore."

That was you're only way? he wanted to ask. That was true of both of them. The desire to be loved was something they shared...

Could he love Sage in his entirety--

"I-I just want to try all of this again,” Zach says at last and takes Sage's hand. “I want to start over."

Sage looks at him in disbelief--how? How could someone like Zach still love him after seeing he was wrong and flawed and--

The bells begin to chime.

--

Sage's touch is hesitant. He can feel Zach's skin prickle beneath his fingers, like an avalanche, threatening to collapse if Sage moves too sudden.

"Are you sure you want to do this today?" Sage asks and retracts his hands, brushing the clean sheets underneath.

Zach is the one who grasps Sage and pulls him close. "Yes... today."

Sage's finger brushes across Zach's cheek, over freckles and under the chin and across his lips and he feels Zach shudder.

"Love me," Zach whispers and Sage leans in for a kiss. It is almost like their first--tentative but pleading. Zach feels as if he is going to melt, becoming nectar. He wants more.

Zach breaks away first, tongue traveling to Sage's neck and he hears a soft moan as he bites down--that'll be difficult to cover tomorrow. He pushes Sage against the bed and unzips Sage's fly, revealing his length. It throbs under the touch.

It is warm when Zach takes it in, mouth trying to mimic all the porn stars he's seen in the past. He only takes it halfway before he gags--he wonders how can anyone take it all, how did Sage. He tries and his lips and tongue tremble. Sage presses the back of his head, guiding him gently.

Sage tries to keep in his moan, but it is late for that. His rod throbs and he rocks his hips unwillingly, and he can feel his release coming.

Until finally, he comes.

Zach drinks every drop.
