"Jess I'm fine," Liv sighed, brushing off her fiancé's attempts to help her out of the car, "just put up my wheelchair and help me in it then get your ass in that kitchen and make me a coffee."

After settling her into the wheelchair, he walked up the path to Lorelai's and did as she asked. While Liv was in the wheelchair (she couldn't use her legs yet) they were staying at Lorelai's and Luke and Lorelai would stay at the diner.

Liv wheeled herself to the porch, then realised she couldn't actually get up. After trying to bash into it a couple of times, she shouted in for Jess, who came running out almost a millisecond after.

"Woah, chill Flash," Liv chuckled, "help me get in?"

When she was on the porch, she heard some car doors slam behind her. Rory, Logan, Paris and Doyle came up the path, smiling at her. Sort of.

"Hey guys!" Liv exclaimed.

"Olivia," Paris nodded, "How was your stay in hospital?"

"The best. Yep. 5 stars, desperate to go back," Liv drawled.

"What were the doctors like? Dodgy? Touchy-feely?" She said in her usual commanding voice.

"Well now you mention it one of the touched my leg while they were bandaging it," Liv rolled her eyes, "Come on let's go in."

They were sat in the living room, Paris no longer talking about perverted doctors. They all sat with a hot drink of some description (though no one was too sure about what exactly Doyle was drinking), Logan and Rory telling Paris and Doyle about, well, Paris.

"Oh it was beautiful! And Logan got us a ceremony on top of a restaurant and there were flowers and it was perfect," Rory gushed.

"Wow that sounds amazing," Paris agreed, glancing at Doyle not so subtly.

"Hey I think she's trying to tell you something there, man," Jess raised his eyebrows, a smirk playing on his face.

Doyle flushes bright red and cleared his throat, "Yes, well, erm, anyone want a drink?" No reply. "Just me then? Great," he chuckled nervously, scuttling into the kitchen.

Everyone looked tentatively at Paris, who sat gritting her teeth until he came back in.

"I'm gonna go," Paris announced.

"Right," Doyle nodded, sitting down.

"I need to get back home, make sure no one has tried to break in or blown it up or whatever," Paris retried.

"I'm sure my home is fine," Doyle coughed.

"Hang on, aren't they the same places?" Jess gasped, earning a slap and glare from Liv.

"Doyle get your ass in the car now!" Paris shouted, having enough.

"I'm there I'm there!" He shouted, running out the house.

"Paris are you ok?" Rory asked, carefully.

"Just peachy, I've got rainbows and unicorns dancing round my head," Paris laughed, "Good to see you Liv," she said, walking out.

They watched them drive off, confused, "Well that was weird," Liv sighed.

"Really? I thought it was totally normal. For Paris and Doyle anyway," Jess shrugged.

"She wants to get married," Rory said.

"Genius!" Liv rolled her eyes, "poor Paris."

"Poor Paris?" Logan laughed, "if anyone deserves to be called 'poor' it's Doyle; he'll never hear the end of it!"

"True," Jess chuckled, "beer?"

"Sure, I'll come in the kitchen with you," Logan offered, walking out with him.

Rory turned to her sister, "hey," she started, "we haven't had a chance to talk alone. How are you holding up? Really?"

Liv sighed, "honestly? I feel so helpless. Every noise makes my head feel like it's gonna explode, my stomach kills and I can't remember anything from the crash," she said.

"How are your legs?" Rory asked.

"I don't know," she bitterly laughed, "I can't feel them. I haven't felt them since I woke up. I'm scared Ror. Absolutely terrified," she admitted.

"Oh Liv," Rory hugged her tight, stroking her hair, "it'll be ok. The doctors will make you better I promise. You've got me and Logan, Mom and Luke, and a fiancé who is head over heels for you and will do anything for you. It'll get better," she told her.

"Thanks Ror," Liv sniffed, trying not to cry.

Jess and Logan came back into the living room, laughing together, making the girls look at each other in amusement.

"Welcome home, baby," Jess whispered into her hair as he sat down next to her.

"I missed it here. Being cooped up in hospital really made me miss it," Liv said.

"Well me and Logan were talking and his parents have this small house by a beach, it's little but he showed me pictures and it looks great. He said we can have it for a weekend if we want," Jess told her, curling up next to her on the sofa.

"What's the catch?" Liv asked, wearily.

"There isn't one. He said we can have it for free."

Liv rolled her eyes, "Yeah, for now."

"Liv," he hesitated, "he is your brother in law. You're family."

"I guess," she smiled, "fine we'll go. It won't be until next month, I have a lot of treatment."

"I knew you'd say yes," he smiled, "well, I hoped you would."

"Oh shush, this is my favourite part!"

Earlier that day:

Lorelai walked through the dining room in the inn, one hand unconsciously placed on her stomach. She wasn't really showing yet; she was only 3 months into her pregnancy but her and Luke had already been playing with names.

Luke wanted George Alfie Danes for a boy and Georgia Alice Danes for a girl. Lorelai's reaction?

"Luke Danes we are not giving our daughter the same name as my daughters' dad's daughter! Wow that's complicated."

Lorelai wanted Zac Jared Danes for a boy or Mia Emily Danes for a girl. Luke preferred these names anyway.

They thought they'd struggle at the inn without Liv, but it had been alright. They'd managed running it just the three of them for years, it was like old times. Not that they didn't love Liv working with them too.

She walked into the kitchen and shouted "coffee!" To which Sookie replied "counter!"

Lorelai took a sip of the heavenly substance, smiling happily, "this is the first caffeinated coffee I've had since I've been pregnant. As much as I love Luke, I hate him right now."

"Yeah well please don't tell Luke that I let you drink it because he will either banish me from Stars Hollow or I'll go mysteriously missing," Sookie laughed.

"Trust me, I'm not telling Luke," Lorelai nodded.

"Telling Luke what?" A voice from behind said, making Lorelai jump. She turned around quickly and tensely, relaxing when she saw it was just Jess.

"You scared me!" She laughed nervously.

"Uh Oh Lorelai. Now I know your little secret," Jess smirked.

"Why are you here Jess?" Lorelai asked him, wanting to change the subject.

He nervously scratched the back of his neck, "I need to go away," Lorelai's eyes widened, "just to New York. The acting manager of the Truncheon store there has quit so I need to go and interview a few people, run the shop for a few days etcetera. But I can't take Liv. Aw should be here, close to her family and the hospital."

"You're right," Lorelai nodded, "look, if I go and stay with Liv while you're gone, will you not tell Luke about what you saw?"

"You have yourself a deal," Jess nodded.

Again, I'm sorry for not updating in so long. It's the Easter holidays now though, so over the next couple of weeks I'll do as many chapters as I can! Thanks for the views and votes xoxo
