"Morning, you," Jess smirked as Liv slowly opened her eyes.

"Eurgh," Liv moaned, shielding her eyes.

"How's your head?" Jess asked. He got a slap on the arm as a reply. He was lay next to her and she moved closer to him and buried her face in his chest.

"Hurts."

"Not surprised," he laughed.

"God it's 9 o'clock I need to shower," Liv yawned.

"You go and shower, I'll make you breakfast. I've called your mom, she knows you'll be a bit late," Jess told her, getting out of bed.

"You're a star."

"Done," Rory smiled as she put the last pin in her moms hair, and stepping back to admire her work.

"Oh, honey! It's perfect," Lorelai smiled, "why am I so nervous? I'm already married!"

"Mom, it's gonna be perfect. Liv's really pulled out all stops to make it amazing," Rory assured her mom.

"I know. Wait until I tell her and Jess that they'll be doing their own dance after mine and Luke's; she'll hate me," Lorelai smiled.

"Liv hates dancing mom!"

"That's why she'll hate me!"

Liv ran in, flushed and holding her dress in one hand, "Mom I am so sorry I'm late," she panted.

"It's fine, hon," Lorelai laughed.

"Shhh not so loud!" Liv said, holding her head, and putting her dress on the sofa, "when's grandma and grandpa getting here?"

""At 11," Rory told her, "moms pretty much ready, just waiting for Liz to get here with her dress."

"Ok," Liv said, " I'm going to get myself ready and then I'll be back," she went into the bathroom.

5 minutes later, she walked back out in a dark blue dress that reached her knees, and short sleeves that covered just her shoulders. Her hair was straight and slightly disheveled - Rory would do something for her. She had light makeup; light pink lipstick, a little blusher, white eyeshadow and black mascara and eyeliner.

"Babe, you look amazing," Lorelai gushed.

"Thanks, mom," Liv smiled, "can you do my hair, Ror?"

"Of course," she smiled.

A hairdo later, Liz walked in.

"Lorelai you look amazing! And Liv, look at you! You're absolutely gorgeous! You and Jess are going to be such a beautiful couple," she told her.

"Thank you Liz," she smiled.

"Where's Rory?" Liz asked.

"Bathroom. She's getting herself ready," Liv told her.

"Right, well Lorelai lets get you dressed!"

Outside the church stood Lorelai with her dad.

"How're you feeling Lorelai?" Richard asked her.

"Excited," she told him, "how long did mom take getting ready this morning?"

"Too long," Richard chuckled.

Liv was the first to walk down the aisle. As she walked, she caught Jess' eye. He was smiling in awe, then looked down to her feet where she had worn a pair of white trainers after refusing to wear heels. As she took her place opposite him, she winked at him, making him grin.

After Rory arrived next to her, Lorelai and Richard made their way down. As they walked, Luke watched his wife, smiling lovingly at her. Before she took her place next to him, pulling a face at her daughters, making them snort and Emily roll her eyes slightly, but everyone could see the proud smile on her face.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to the town square. Tables had been set up inside Luke's, full of food that Sookie had prepared. Lights and lace curtains had been draped around the gazebo and the trees. Huge heaters were dotted around to keep everyone warm; it was freezing and the middle of November. Tables had been set up for people to sit; no one had a designated seat, they could sit wherever.

An hour after the ceremony, Lorelai, Liv, Liz, Luke, Emily and Rory sat on a table, all in lighthearted conversation except Liv. She was staring lovingly at Jess, who was laughing and dancing with Doulah; Liv watched as he showed everyone how much he had changed, what a good brother he was. He's really good with kids, Liv mused, as Martha and Davey joined in.

"—don't you think Liv?" Lorelai said.

"Oh yeah," she agreed.

Jess caught her eye and gestured for her to join them. She shook her head, and Jess whispered something into Martha's ear. She squealed happily and grabbed her brother and Doulah's hands. Before she knew it, Liv was being dragged towards Jess and started dancing with them.

In a space by the gazebo, Richard and TJ were having a heated discussion about how TJ had 'built' the extension on Lorelai's house.

"It was simple really, and she paid me good money," TJ shrugged.

"I can't believe you managed to do all of that! I do hope that it doesn't get damaged, I work for an insurance company, you see, and you would end up paying a lot of money," Richard tutted.

After the group had danced to You're the one that I want and Year 3000, it was time for Luke and Lorelai's first dance. They slow danced to I Will Always Love You and by the end, most of the guests were in tears.

After they had finished, Lorelai ran to the stage (which was set up for Hep Alien initially, but they had to cancel as the twins were sick) and said, "now it's time for the best man and one half of my maids of honour to dance." And smiled before going back to Luke.

"What? I can't slow dance!" Liv whispered to Jess as he led her to the dance floor.

"Relax. Follow my lead," he said, placing her hands on his shoulders, and his own on her waist.

As Everytime by A1 began to play, Liv followed whatever Jess was doing, clumsily, making the pair giggle and the guests smile.

"I love this song," Liv sighed when they'd settled into a steady rhythm.

"It's ok I guess," Jess shrugged.

"You've listened to A1?" She asked, smiling.

"Everytime I kiss, I feel your lips, and Everytime I cry I see your smile..." he sang gently.

"You've listened to A1," she stayed, grinning.

"Well when your girlfriend plays it nonstop you pick up the lyrics," he laughed.

After their dance, Luke and Lorelai were to leave on their honeymoon. Lorelai gave her daughters a long hug, and Jess one too.

"Sookie!" Lorelai exclaimed as she embraced her best friend, "I'll miss you so much! Please make sure Michel doesn't burn down the inn, or kill all of the staff and costumers! Oh, and thank you for the lovely food. Especially the coffee cake and the tiramisu."

"It's no problem. Congratulations, I'm so happy for you both. And as for Michel...I can't promise anything," Sookie laughed.

Next was Emily and Richard.

"Thank you for coming, Mom, Dad," Lorelai smiled.

"It's ok, Lorelai. And I'm...happy for you both. Enjoy your honeymoon. Goodbye, Luke, Lorelai," Emily said, walking away.

"Congratulations, both of you," Richard smiled, following his wife.

Everybody waved them off, and in the car, Lorelai rested her head on Luke's shoulder.

"It felt good to have a proper wedding."

"Yes, it did."

I don't know whether this was any good, but I quite liked writing it! I was really stuck on songs though 😬 going to put the wedding speeches in the next chapter ☺️ will update them soon, guys xoxo
