Jess and Liv were on their fourth date. They'd done Luke's, the cinema, picnic by the bridge, and now they were sat under the gazebo, eating food Jess had taken from Luke's, and some ice cream from Doose's.

They weren't boyfriend and girlfriend, so they told everyone. They were...friends...who happened to date.

Liv was sat with her back against the bench, her legs crossed in front of her. Jess was sat opposite her, sat with one leg outstretched in front of him and holding the other to his chest.

"So, Lorelai and Luke seem to be getting closer," Jess told her, smirking.

"They're so obvious, aren't they! He's liked her for years, I don't understand why it took them so long to figure it out!" Liv exclaimed, laughing.

"He's crazy for her," Jess shook his head.

"Wouldn't it be kind of weird though?" Liv asked hesitantly.

"What do you mean?" Jess asked.

"Well, if they went out, and, I don't know, got married in the future, wouldn't that make us step cousins? I know we wouldn't be blood related, but...it might seem strange. And if they had a kid...its sister's boyfriend would be it's cousin," Liv rambled.

"Relax, it would be fine, I guess," Liv shrugged, "is that what I am to you? Your boyfriend?" Jess grinned.

Liv felt the heat rise to her cheeks, and the red stained her cheeks, "Well, I just meant that maybe..."

"Liv," he said, "I would love to be your boyfriend," he grinned.

"Good," she smiled. They sat in silence, unsure of what to do next. The food was gone, coffee was cold, "we should probably tidy this up," Liv suggested, getting to her feet.

Jess followed her, nodding his head. Just as he was about to bend down to get the bag of rubbish, Liv grabbed his arm, and put her hand on his shoulders. They stood, looking into each other's eyes, before Liv reached up and met his lips with her. They stood there for a few minutes, kissing under the gazebo, until Liv pulled away, flustered.

"I should take this rubbish," she muttered.

"Ok," Jess said, composing himself, "Do you want me to walk you back?"

"No I should be fine," she smiled.

"Ok."

Liv turned away, and walked down away from the gazebo.

"Liv!" He called, "I'll see you in the morning?"

"Sure," she smiled back to him.

When she got home, she was met with her mom and sister sitting eagerly on the sofa.

"How was it?" Lorelai asked.

"What did you do?" Rory, this time.

"Did you kiss?" Lorelai gasped.

"Did he walk you home?" Rory squeaked.

"But did you kiss?" Lorelai repeated.

"Woah, calm down Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum!" Liv laughed, sitting between them, "we just went to the gazebo, and no he didn't take me home because I told him not to."

"But did you kiss?" Lorelai repeated.

"Maybe," Liv smiled.

"That's a yes, that's clearly a yes!" Rory gasped.

"And we are...official," she cringed at the word.

"Oh My God!!!" Lorelai said.

"And I'm going to bed. I don't want anymore interrogation!" Liv laughed.

"Night, Mrs Mariano," Rory teased. As she heard the door close, she saw her mom slump in her seat next to her, "and the mood's gone. What's wrong?"

"I'm happy for her but...Jess? They're not the most likely pair, and after all the things he's done...what if he's a bad influence on her? What if he breaks her heart?" Lorelai panicked.

"Mom, clam down. Liv knows what she's doing, and he genuinely likes her. Besides, I'll personally hunt him down and string him up by his feet after slowly and painfully skinning him alive," Rory assured her mom.

"That's my girl," Lorelai winked, "are you out with Dean tomorrow?"

"Yeah, we're going into Hartford for lunch and shopping," she told her.

"What for?"

"Not telling. It's private."

"Ooooo, dirty!"

"Mom!"

The smell of breakfast wafted into the bedroom, where Olivia lay under the sheets. She stirred slowly to consciousness and rubbed her eyes. After throwing on Jess' Metallica T-shirt and a pair of shorts, she wandered into the kitchen, where Jess was stood in a pair of pyjama bottoms, at the stove.

"Pancakes?" Liv asked, "And...strawberries and chocolate and bacon?" She guessed.

"Yes, yes, yes and yes," Jess told her.

"I knew it," Liv laughed, sitting down at the table. As Jess sat her plate down and sat next to her, she turned and kissed him, "Good morning." She smiled.

"Good morning, now eat," he told her.

"Gosh you're turning into Luke every single day. Must just be men with the Danes genes," Liv teased.

"And you Gilmores just can't resist our charm, can you?" He winked.

"Not really, we just can't resist your food."

Logan sat in his study, when Rory opened the door, "there's someone here  to see you," she said, "someone called Ellie?"

"What?" He almost shouted.

"I dunno, she wouldn't leave," Rory shrugged.

"Send her up," Logan sighed.

Roy closed the door, annoyed, as she set to go down the stairs.

Logan sat, his head in his hands. He'd broken it off with her ages ago, why wouldn't he leave him alone?

And few seconds later, a woman entered his room.

"Hello, Logan."

"What are you doing here?"

———————————————

Rory exited the office and went back in the living room, sitting confused on the sofa. She didn't know who this woman was. What she wanted. Anything. They'd been up there a while, so she got in her car and drove to Liv and Jess' apartment which wasn't far from hers. Her and Logan had moved to New York shortly after the other two, much to Lorelai's dismay.

She arrived at the apartment and walked up to it, pulling out her spare key that Liv had given her out of her pocket, and opened the door.

"Oh my god!" She cried, freezing in her spot. Her sister was lay on the couch, her T-shirt half way up her stomach and a pair of boxers on, with Jess lay on top of her with just a pair of tight boxers. They stopped kissing, turning their heads towards her, their eyes wide and cheeks red with embarrassment, "I'll go outside for a second."

Rory closed the door and started shaking her head, trying to get rid of that image.

Meanwhile in the apartment, Liv covered her face with her hands, while Jess just chuckled, kissing her on the head before jumping off the sofa and going to his room to get dressed. Liv sat up and pulled her T-shirt down, wrapping herself in a blanket.

"You can come in Rory," she called.

Rory timidly walked into the apartment, one hand still covering her eyes, "is it safe?"

"Yes, Ror, come and sit down," she laughed, shuffling over on the sofa.

"Nope, I can never sit on that sofa again," Rory declared, "the armchair is perfectly fine."

"Well..."

"What about that armchair?"

"Erm..."

"The coffee table?"

"I don't think so...nope definitely not."

"Anywhere?"

"Well we haven't got to the oven yet..." Liv smirked.

"Ew! Erm-fine I'll just sit here. You two have obviously made up," she sighed, sitting next to her sister.

"Yeah, were ok now," she smiled.

Rory sat looking at her nails.

"What's up?" Liv asked.

"Logan. I think..." she exhaled, "I think he's cheating on me."
