Liv walked up to the apartment, where Jess was sat reading. It had been 4 days since the dinner and she still hadn't told him. She knew she had to soon; it was going to start showing. She was 8 weeks along; she couldn't hide it for much longer.

"Jess," she said.

"Hey," he smiled, "are you ok? You look awful."

"Gee thanks," she smiled weakly, sitting down, "I need to tell you something."

"Hang on, let me get you a glass of water," he said, feeling her forehead, "you're burning up."

"Jess," she tried.

"Shh," he told her, "drink this."

"Babe, I'm fine," she brushed him away, "I need to talk to you."

"What is it?" He asked.

"I...erm...well," she stuttered, looking down.

He grabbed her hands, "you can tell me anything."

She looked up and bit her bottom lip, "I'm-"

She breathed a breath of relief as her phone began to ring, "I gotta take this," she said, walking out.

He looked at her, confused, as she walked out of their apartment.

"Hello?" She said.

"Hey, hon," her mom said.

"What's up?" Liv asked.

"Nothing," Lorelai said, innocently, "you told him yet?"

Liv laughed nervously, "well about that mom..."

"Babe! You gotta tell him!" Lorelai told her in disbelief.

"I know! I was about to, and then you called so thanks for that," Liv rolled her eyes, annoyed.

"Sorry! I'm gonna hang up now. Tell him," Lorelai said quickly, "love you."

Liv put her phone back in her pocket and went back into the apartment. Jess was on the phone, now, pacing frantically, "and why can't you handle it?...c'mon, Chris...ok, man, I'll be there soon...yeah you do owe me!...see you tonight," he put his phone down and sighed, turning to Liv.

"Everything ok?" She asked.

"No," Jess laughed, "that was Chris. They're having trouble at the shop, need me to come down, especially 'cause Matt is on holiday."

"Oh, and you're going now?" Liv asked.

"I'll go this evening. I'm sorry baby," he said, walking to her and hugging her. She buried her face in his neck, "what did you need to tell me?"

"Doesn't matter now. I can tell you when you get back," she mumbled.

"Ok," Jess hummed.

Liv pulled back and put her hands on his chest, "better get you packed, baby, yeah?"

"Do we have to?" Jess fake pouted.

"Well unless you wanna walk around naked tomorrow and the day after then yeah," Liv laughed.

"Don't tell me you would mind that," Jess smirked.

"Chris would," she smiled.

"True," Jess said, moving his hands from her back to her waist. Liv panicked and pulled back, worries he'd notice something.

"I've gotta go and see Rory," she lied.

"I'm gonna leave about 4, I'll see you before, right?" He said.

"Definitely," she smiled, opening the door.

"Love you," he called.

"Mhm. Love you," she smiled, walking out.

On her way to the bridge, her phone began to ring again, "Hayley?"

"Hey! I'm in Stars Hollow; me and Tris came back for the weekend. Where are you?" Hayley said.

"Bridge. Come and see me, please?" Liv asked, trying not to sound desperate for her to come and see her.

"Sure thing, Liv. Be there in 5," Hayley said, hanging up.

Liv sat, her feet dangling over the edge.

"Liv!" She heard from behind her.

She turned her head and smiled as Hayley sat down, "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine, honey. You're the one who's not fine," Hayley raised her eyebrows.

"How's things with Tristin?" Liv tried.

"They're great. How're things with Jess?" Hayley asked unsubtly.

"Great," Liv nodded.

"You told him?" Hayley asked.

"Not exactly," Liv admitted.

"You've gotta tell him. He deserves to know," Hayley told her.

"I know, that's all you and my mom are saying to me!" Liv snapped.

"It's true," Hayley said.

"I don't even want this!" Liv sighed, "I know it's my fault and everything, but I don't want to be pregnant! And I know that's unfair on Rory, but I don't want a baby yet. I don't want to be pregnant!"

"You're pregnant?" Someone behind them asked.

Liv turned around and stood up, "Jess," she said.

"You're pregnant," he smiled, "but you...don't want it?"

"It's not like that..." Liv tried to explain.

"What else can it be like, Liv?" He asked, "you said you're pregnant. You said you don't want it. What else can it possibly be like?"

"I'm not ready to be a mom!" Liv burst, "Yeah, my mom was amazing and she was 16 when she did it, but I'm not my mom! I'll mess our kid up, or just be plain crappy!"

"Liv, you haven't even tried," Jess said, "do you think I'll be perfect? You have someone to base how you parent on. My dad was never there and my mom wasn't exactly the best. If either of us is gonna be crappy, it's me. But I'm ready to take that risk. And we might both be crappy, but we'll be crappy together," he winked.

Liv smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, "Ok."

"Wait, what?" He asked.

"I said, ok," she laughed, stepping back from him.

"That was easy," he smiled.

"You have a way with words," she shrugged.

"I am an author," he winked, "Wow. You're pregnant."

"Catch on easy, don't you?" She laughed.

"With my baby," he said.

"Really? Oh, I thought it was Justin Timberlake's," Liv rolled her eyes.

Jess kissed her forehead, "Do you want me to stay?"

"No, you go. I want some peace," she joked.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Positive. In more ways than one," she nodded, leaning up to kiss him.

"Aw, you guys!" Hayley said from her seat on the bridge. When they jumped apart and chuckled slightly.

"Jesus, Hayles! You scared the crap out of me!" Liv laughed.

"Damn, I was aiming for the baby," Hayley joked, "anyway, I'm gonna go find Tristin, I'll talk to you later. Congrats guys," she grinned, standing up. Before she started walking away she stopped, "I just realised what amazing genes that kid is gonna have," she commented, before walking away. When she got to the end of the bridge, she turned back and called, "although, if Justin Timberlake was the dad, it'd have awesome genes, too!"

Liv started laughing and intertwined her fingers with Jess', "why did you come here, anyway? I thought you were packing?"

"I couldn't find my bag. I called you three times," Liv looked at her phone and grimaced, "But you're one to talk. Thought you were going to Rory's?" He asked as they walked back to the house.

"I don't even know why I lied," Liv sighed, "how did you know I'd be here?"

"Well when you weren't with Rory, I figured you'd probably be here," Jess said.

"Right," she smiled, "we should get you packed."

"If we must," Jess sighed, dramatically.

After Jess left her, she went to her mom and Luke's. Luke opened the door, as Lorelai was upstairs trying to get the twins to sleep. One of them was screaming loudly, and Luke looked exhausted, "Come on in, Livvy."

"You look tired, Luke," she smiled, sympathetically.

"Be grateful that you don't have to spend all night up with a screaming baby," he sighed.

Liv laughed and looked down. She wanted to tell him, but her and Jess decided to tell him together.

"Want a beer?" He asked.

"Just an orange juice, please," she asked, hoping he wouldn't notice.

"Thought you hated orange?" Luke asked.

"I've decided to start upping my five a day, you know?" She said.

"Good for you!" He grinned.

She followed Luke to the kitchen and leaned against the table, "so, Livvy, I was wondering if you could do me a favour."

"Here we go," she joked.

"I already asked Jess and he said yeah, and I didn't know whether he'd asked you or not," Luke said, handing her her drink.

"No, he hasn't said anything."

"Saturday night I'm taking Lorelai out and Jess said you'd babysit the boys," Luke told her.

"Oh!" She raised her eyebrows, "sure."

"Really?" He smiled, "Thanks Livvy. The screaming has stopped! Your mom will be down in a moment."

"Great," she smiled, "actually I think I'm gonna go up and see the boys."

"Please don't wake them up," he begged.

"I'll try not to," she laughed.

She walked into Lorelai as she got to the top of the stairs, who immediately shushed her.

"Don't make a sound!" She whispered.

"I'm just gonna go in and out," she whispered back.

"Someone's getting broody!" Lorelai teased.

"No, I wanna see my brothers. Please go away you crazy, sleep deprived mom-bie!" She whispered, walking past her.

Quietly, she closed the door and looked into each of the cribs, "hey guys. How are you doing?" She whispered.

Walking in between the cots, she stepped on a toy, which made her stumble a bit. She looked in William's cot, where he had begun to flutter his eyes open and gurgle. She picked him and started bouncing him slightly.

"You're beautiful. You and your brother—my brother— are gorgeous. And you're gonna have a niece or nephew soon. They're gonna be your best friend. And I'm gonna be the best big sister ever. Well, Rory will probably be better than me, but no change there," she smiled. William had gone back to sleep, and she placed him back down. She kissed Richard on the head, before going back downstairs.
