The whole car ride is in almost total silence, and you're planning to remain that total silence until the end of the journey.

Ashes is rather desperate to break that ice. He would, at times, turn to you and open his mouth to state anything. But you would be quick enough and mumble "shut up," letting the silence the swallow the car again.

Anyways, the entire ride is like that with you nervously glancing at the time on your silver wrist watch in every thirty seconds that pass.

Ashes hates this feeling.

These feelings you give him. Why? Are you still mad?— threathened that he might steal your pops? If anything, he is planning to steal you too, so—Ashes gives you a gentle expression, a longing expresson. So you don't really have anything to fear of.

He places his hand on his pocket, wanting to have some comfort from the cold metallic sensation of a fork. Then Ashes exhales out.

"(Y/N), I'm sorry."

You hear his soft apology, and you gulp down that lump stuck on your throat. You do not listen to his words. You just pull out your phone from your pocket. Well, he does not really have anything to apologize for. It is your fault. For sharing Dad with Ashes. Focusing your attention on your phone,  you see Peach's message displayed in your phone's screen and...

And Ely?!

The aura around you switches. Your eyes are wide while you hastily open your phone, typing your password right away. Suddenly, you are happy. Just happy.  You thought that Ely would not communicate with you again. A smile softly breaks out.

Ashes notices it..

His hold on the stirring wheel tightens.
