=====  Chapter 14   [ Part 6.1 ] =====

It is already noon when you guys arrive at the mall. Since you're hungry, you propose to have your lunch first. They quickly agree. While walking towards a restaurant, Peach goes to you. Her voice is soft as she whispers her plans to you, "Should I and Alessio separate with you guys now?? Or should I do it after lunch?" Hearing her question, you almost crack out laughing. Since it is their date, then that doesn't involve you.

You shrug. "I don't know?"

Peach pouts at you, tugging your arm. "I don't know too. But what do you think is better?!! Honestly, I feel so shy and indecisive right now." To see the look of worry over her face, you feel your heart softens. Turning to Alessio, you note that he does not care about his surroundings as always.

You turn to Peach again who's patiently waiting for your reply. You really think, however, that it's useless for your friend ask you that question. Why you? You sigh. "Well.. for me.. I guess, it is better if you guys do your date after lunch. I mean— In the first place, we planned this out to hang out together, right?" you whisper back.

You think that Peach gets the words wrong... Since your friend's face is suddenly with a guilty expression. "I'm sorry for being selfish, (Y/N)," she whispers to you. Her shoulders are slumped down. She averts her blue eyes to the ground.

"Because of my selfishness, I—"

You put a hand on Peach's shoulder, giving her look of reassurance. "Hey, it's okay. I am not mad." You do not really mean to feel Peach this way. You understand that Peach was just too excited. To have her crush date her?! She was so elated that she was not able to think straight.

Looking at your face, she sadly smiles.

"Maybe I should cancel the date."

You shake your head. "No, I said it's fine. Besides we're already here..  And you already dressed up for your date with Alsssio!" Peach's face turns pink, happy from your words.

You really— She sighs and affectionately smiles at you. "(Y/N), thank you." Her tone of voice is soft.. yet filled with pure sincerity.

"Just enjoy your day!"

You smile back. "I mean, date!" You wink at your friend, causing her face to be completely flustered.. She whines, but you're already running to the restaurant's entrance. A sigh is let go while Peach softly smiles at you. Suddenly, she's shoved aside by Dante.

"Geez, get out of my way!"

Peach glares at him though he does not see it since he is already trailing behind your figure. "Asshole," she huffs under her breath. But her cheeks go slightly warm upon Alessio passing by her. Noticing his presence, the young girl quickly goes beside him.

"Alessio, are you excited for later?!"

"..."

Peach giggles.

Silence means yes.
