==== Chapter 13 [ Part 2 ] ====

"We're classmates...?" Kielle is clueless as you suddenly drag him away from Peach and his other friends. But — can he really call them his "friends" ? Despite his cousin introducing them as someone he's close with, he doesn't actually feel the intimacy there. Alessio and Dante. They don't seem happy having him there. Last night, when he stayed with them,  they didn't bother initiating a talk nor show any welcoming gestures to him.

"Yep, we're classmates!"

You exclaim, popping the letter "p" as you do so. Kielle allows a smile on his face. Cute, he murmurs to himself. He's glad having you as a friend. And he is more glad to have you as his classmate.

Somehow he feels uneasy...

Since Kie does not remember anyone or anything at all, there is a high chance that he might turn into an outcast. But knowing that Kielle has you staying by his side, his fear instantly diminishes. The man softly smiles, staring down at your entangled hands.

He gives it a gentle squeeze.

From that sensation, you tilt your head to his direction, puzzled. But perceiving Kielle's heart - fluttering smile. Perceiving your holding hands, your face instantly goes deep red. You actually hold his hand!!! And you did not even realize it! How? You mentally slap yourself and is about to let go when Kielle himself tightens his grip on your hand.

"Kielle?" you stutter.

Kielle slowly tilts his head a little. Before you can even process it, he is suddenly sending you an adorable half-smile. "Since you started it anyways, (Y/N), you should finish it until the end."

You're kinda surprised by what he has just said; and you honestly want to give Kielle a playful pinch in the cheek, but you're too shy and embarrassed. Quietly you bite the insides of cheeks. Huffing out a sigh, you press your lips soon after. Kielle smiles to himself, seeing that you have stopped from letting go.

"We're not this even close yet..." You faintly mumble to yourself, directed to only yourself; but Kielle happens to hear it too since he's near to you. "We're not close?" The young man asks, staring at you with curious golden eyes. You blink your eyes and turn your face to him. Lowering your gaze, you nod.

"Yeah."

"Then what are we before?" Kielle asks, puzzled. If you guys are not close, then why are you taking care of him. Why does he always hear your voice in the darkness? A sigh. You nonchalantly answer back, "Just classmates. I barely knew you since you were new... And that was the first day. Um, you got your head injury at that same day. Right?" you ask him.

"So you don't know me..."

"Why?"

Why? Your thoughts fly back to the past. You suddenly remember Miss Clythe asking you to befriend him. She wanted you to be there for Kielle. To be a friend to him. Your teacher doesn't want the terrible incident to repeat itself over again, and she thought that if Kielle has you.. Then maybe he wouldn't dare to slam his head again on that freaking wall.

You smile a gentle smile.

"Other than you being related with Peach. I guess I just want to be friends with you."

He blinks his gold-like  eyes before flushing a little bit pink. So you want to be friends with him? Kielle stares right at you for too long; you become flustered. Pulling your gaze away from him, you note that you guys have finally reached the room.

"Okay, we're here!"

You retrieve your hand from his hand. Pushing the door open, you immediately perceive your teacher. With that good-natured smile on your face, you greet the woman. "Good morning, Miss Clythe!" She greets back with a friendly smile before finally settling her gaze on Kielle. Right as soon as your teacher takes in his presence, her eyes widen.

"Mr. Ponce! You're back!"

His eyebrows furrow. "Mr. Ponce?"

"Um..." He rubs the back of his neck as if he isn't used being called like that. "You can call me Kielle...?" The gold- eyed teen looks at you as if he is confused as hell. Your lips are pursed to seal the laugh as he proceeds on rambling, "—I guess?"

Of course he isn't the only one confused. Miss Clythe's definitely confused as hell too.  The Mr. Ponce she has talked to before is not this guy. The intimidating aura's gone. He doesn't look scary like he was before. Though Miss Clythe isn't sure if that's a good thing.  She throws you a look.

You give a fake smile. "He lost his memories."

"So — some parts of it! But I'll try my best recalling," Kielle stutters. Miss Clythe nods and understands. The woman has been warned before anyways  by the nurse regarding about Kielle's health. Though he might have forgotten some details in his life, his education will not really be that affected.

"I see..."

"Okay, then. (Y/N). Kielle. Go take your seats. Our class will almost begin,"  Miss Clythe ushers you with a smile. You nod, obediently tugging Kielle by the arm to his seat that is just right before yours. Making him sit in his chair, Kielle looks up at you.

"This is mine?"

"Yeps, it's yours!" you assure him as you then take your own seat. With everyone in place, Miss Clythe begins to teach. Kielle tries to listen to the lecture, but he finds his poor self having a difficult time... He thinks that it is too fast to be back in school again. But Kielle. He also finds himself being grateful that he has you with him. "Kielle, here are my notes," you softly whisper as you pass your notes to him. "You can check it while we are answering the exercises."

He looks down at your notes, and he smiles.

Turning to look at you, he mumbles a shy "thank you" before quietly flipping all over the pages. Okay. Kielle really is grateful and happy to have you here with him. Kielle do think he is lucky for you befriending him. A smile is painted on his face  as he reads all the written words and look at all the tiny doodles.

What a cute pig.

Kielle softly laughs while looking down at the pig face you've drawn on the last page of your green filler. Let's also not even forget the scary ghost faces you've drawn beside the pig.

Cutee...
