Greg's POV

"Bringing you with me was one of the best ideas I've ever had." I chuckle in Tessie's ear.

She looked at me and smiled. "Why?" She laughed. "How is taking your cousin to an event your best idea?"

I looked at her and smiled. "I'm starting to think she believes we are an item."

"Who, your baby mama?" She laughed.

"Yeah, she pretty much just raped me in the janitor's closet. I forgot all about you until she told me to finish my date and meet me in her room later."

Tessie laughed. "You better tell her or she will think you're playing games."

"Yeah, I didn't plan on not introducing you as my cousin, it's the weirdest thing." I laughed.

"So, are you back together?"

I smiled. "She said she would marry me."

Tessie's eyes shot up, and she squealed as she hugged me. "It's about damn time something good happens for you. I'm so happy for you, I could cry."

I saw the General walk up to me. "Greg, it's good to see you. Hello Tessie, is your father still coming?"

"Hello, General. Yes, he was tied up at the airport, but he's changing and will be down in a few minutes."

"Let me introduce you to my son." He waved to Jackson to come over.

"This is the one you've been trying to get me to meet?" Tessie smiled, and I can see her interest.

Jackson, being Bella's twin, is so much like his sister. After the introductions, they went out and danced. I could see him blush, and the General and I just laughed.

"Still playing matchmaker I can see." I said to him, and he just stood with a smile.

"It's a damn good thing my kids don't know exactly how much I meddle in their lives."

I had to laugh.

"Lance too?" He nodded.

"Her father was my college roomate."

I shook my head and laughed.

"JR and Stephanie?" He shook his head. "No that love blossomed on its own, but I might have had a hand in him being stationed in Ft. Knox."

"Bella and I? How much was you?" He leaned in.

"I may know the president of the airline and had your private jet held up at Logan International."

"You! You had her scheduled on that flight!" I laughed.

"Maybe, but in my defense, I didn't know you'd take my daughter in a janitor's closet." He glared at me.

"You know about that?" My stomach turned.

"I knew you'd have an effect on her, but nobody could have anticipated that, Greg. JR told me."

How did he know...ah, Bella.

"She said she'd marry me."

He smirked. "That's the best news I've heard in a long time." He smiled at me.

"You invited my uncle so I would bring Tess and make her jealous? You held him up so I escorted her! You conniving... brilliant man." We laughed, and he waved Bella and her date over.

"Look, your brother just may have met his match." Jackson's face is still red and he looks nervous.

"Keep it in the family, right?" The General nudged me, and we laughed.

Bella looked so confused.

"Ah, there he is! I hope the travel wasn't too rough, General." My Uncle approached and pulled Bella's father in a hug.

"Who does a sobriety checkpoint just outside the airport on a Wednesday evening?" He shook his head, and I wanted to laugh.

"Let me introduce you. General Masterson, this is my lovely daughter Bella, and that's Jackson my son, dancing with your daughter."

Bella looked at me in total confusion.

"Bella, you're the mother of my great niece. Nice to meet you, young lady." He shook Bella's hand and her jaw dropped.

"You're his uncle? She's his cousin?" My Uncle nodded at her strange question.

"Yes, my nephew was kind enough to escort my daughter because I was running late. It's okay, those two are like siblings, arguements and all." He chuckled.

Bella tried to hide her amusement.

"I should be calling it a night soon, the baby will be up. It was great seeing you, General."

"Good night baby girl." He kissed Bella's head, and winked at me.

"I'll escort you." Ryan said, and he led her away.

The General turned to me. "Don't just stand there, go get your girl." He winked, and smiled at me.

My pulse raced as I walked to the elevator. Do I care her date will see me walk into her room? Hell No!

My entire life is in that hotel suite. The love of my life, and my beautiful daughter are right there waiting for me. My family, my home, has finally invited me back, and I'll never leave them again.

I stepped off the elevator and passed the man who had Bella on a date. He glared at me ,then nodded. I didn't give a shit, I pushed the key card into the slot and slowly opened it.

It was dark, and the only noise I heard, was a soothing humming sound coming from my daughter's temporary room.

I leaned in the doorway and watched, as my beautiful girl held our daughter in that gorgeous satin gown of hers. Her body still amazes me. She gave life, and now from the same body, she feeds our daughter. She's humming a nursery song and brushing her fingers lightly over Stark's fuzzy blonde hair.

Fucking Beautiful.

I stepped inside and kneeled down next to her, and she looked at me in a way I've never seen before.

"Welcome home, Daddy." She looked back down at our daughter and continued humming. I can hear our daughter's tiny little breaths as she nursed from her mother.

Like I've said before, I was raised by a monster, went to war, stared death in it's face, been shot, stabbed, and took down an entire sex ring, and now I sit here on my knees at the mercy of the two girls that make me weak.

I never cried, not in war, and not even when my father beat me every fucking day growing up, but this one woman has me on my knees crying like a baby for the second time tonight.

She has all the power in the world to break me, and I gladly hand myself over to her mercy.

She stands and gently places Stark in her bed, then turns to me and held out her hand. She pulled me up and didn't say a word, just led me to her room and shut the door behind her. I stood there with my palms sweating and my hands shaking. The confident domineering man she once knew is no more. I've been broken for a very long time, and all I can do is hope she can fix me.

She stepped forward and rested her hand on my cheek, a single tear slid down her face. I placed my hand over hers and shut my eyes to the comfort she's giving me.

"I love you." She whispered. I moved her hand and kissed it, before opening my eyes and placing my hand behind her head and leaning in for the kiss.

It was soft, slow and loving, everything I needed to know was in this kiss.

She stood back, reached behind her and unzipped her dress, letting it pool around her feet. My god, she had nothing under that dress.

She has changed. As I studied her, I saw her breasts are larger, her stomach flawless, other than a scar from Stark, and she has more curves. Jesus Christ, this isn't the girl I met on that plane. Standing before me is a woman, whose body is flawless, beautiful, and I helped create those curves when I gave her our daughter.

I pulled off my jacket, and she reached for the buttons on my shirt, but I stopped her. She looked at me with confusion.

"Some things have changed, Bella. I'm not the man I was before."

She tilted her head. "Let me." She said, and I took a deep breath not knowing if I was ready, then started to unbutton my shirt.

As I moved down from one button to the next her jaw dropped and her hand covered her mouth. I took off my shirt and stood there for her to study me.

Her fingers traced the gunshot wound in the middle of my chest. It's still fresh, raw, just like the four stab wounds scattered around it.

Tears fell down her face.

"How?"

"I found evidence needed to use against my father. I made copies and sent them to Lance, a hit was put out on me within 24 hours. I was gunned down, stabbed, beaten, then left for dead, but your memory pulled me through. I was taken to a hospital, and before I woke up, and after I was stable, the FBI had me transferred into protective custody.

I wanted to reach out to you, but they wouldn't let me until I helped bring my father and his associates down. You were being watched by agents and Lance would update me, but I was held until it was safe for me to come to you. I got on the first available flight and made it to the wedding, then, of course, you had Stark and know the rest of the story.

I swear Bella, it took an army to keep me from you. I tried so hard to get to you. I knew before I found out you were pregnant that my father was into something bad. I tried to figure it out, but when he had his heart attack, I was able to access the proof I needed. I've been trying for a year to get back to you. I couldn't incriminate you or put your life in danger. I couldn't tell you, even Grace is in prison.

I told the board to put Scarlett in charge, and I've kept my previous position. I'm never leaving you again."
