Greg's POV

I saw all that blood just before she collapsed into my arms.

"Somebody call 911!" I screamed, as I held her and slowly lowered her to the floor.

I felt a strong hand pull me away, and I fell on my ass as General Benten made room for himself next to Bella.

A doctor is thankfully one of the guests, and as Jackson tried to make room because of nosey fuckers, I took her hand on the other side. The doctor took her pulse, but there wasn't much he could do for her here. The paramedics finally arrived, and when they loaded her in, I jumped in, but the General tried to pull me away.

"This is my child and the woman I love, so it would take the whole fucking army to pull me away, so get the fuck off!" I yelled.

The doors slammed behind me, as I sat next to Bella and held her hand. "Please, baby, please hang in there, I love you. God, please take me, not them."

I hate my fucking father with a goddamn passion.

I begged and bardered with God, making promises, and pleading with him to save Bella.

My wet cheeks and watering eyes made it hard to see as we exited the ambulance. They wheeled her in and ran toward the double doors as a doctor approached.

"She's hemmoraging! Get OR 2 ready stat!"

"Save her first." Bella tried to cry out.

"Everything is okay Miss Benton."

"She comes first! Save my baby!" She lets out, and I almost fell to my knees.

The medical personnel ran with Bella, while a nurse stopped me.

"No matter what, you save Bella!" I screamed at the doctor while they quickly moved through the double doors, and she was gone.

I paced and ran my fingers through my hair.

How could this happen? I finally made it back to her, and now I'm losing both of them.

"What the fuck are you even doing here?" I looked behind me and saw Jr. with his new bride still in her wedding gown.

"Why do you think I'm here?" I snarled.

"You abandoned her!" He spit out.

"I wasn't given a fucking choice, so don't even presume I wouldn't have moved this earth to be with her!"

"You need to leave!" Stephanie glared at me with tears in her eyes.

"I was shot and beaten, before being left for dead, then taken into protective custody. I had no way to contact her, and the FBI was watching out for her. I was only released from protective custody yesterday when they were all arrested. I gave up the CEO position and hopped on the first damn plane last night. I turned my father in to be with that girl, so don't you dare tell me I can't be here!"

I walked away from them and straight for the chapel, where I prayed for mercy. Haven't I paid enough? Haven't I fought hard enough to be with her, so now God wants to take her away? Why am I so cursed?

I was on my knees begging, when I felt a strong presence sit next to me.

"How many young girls?" It was the General.

"57 from here in the United States, over 150 overseas."

"Did you know?" He asked, and I shook my head. "If I had, I would have killed them myself."

"I just spoke with Agent Sinclaire, and he backed up your story. How was your disappearance kept secret?" He asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. "My mother was the only one that looked for me. My father was in the hospital and wasn't responsible for the hit on me. I'm still not in the clear as long as Powell is free. There's agents all over the place, if you haven't noticed. I threatened to botch their investigation if they didn't let me come to her. I didn't want her in danger, so waited for the man who was responsible for everything to be arrested before I came to Bella. Powell is expected to turn himself in before midnight."

"Jesus, who shot you?"

Like they care now.

"A man named Anthony Minnini, an associate of governor Powell. He was taken down along with the entire ring."

"You helped them?" He askd.

I nodded. "When I found out the real reason for putting Grace and I together, I wanted to kill them all. I searched my dad's office and found evidence. Grace and my father were involved for years, and Grace was scouting the young girls. My father made a lot of money off the American girls, and we still haven't found half of them. I had evidence when I was shot, but Minnini didn't know I had backed everything up and sent it to Lance."

"Lance was in on this?" He asked, and I nodded. "He is the one who got the evidence to the FBI after I was shot. They took me to a government medical center until I healed. He helped me put my father away, then gave me updates on Bella and the baby, but I wasn't allowed to reach out, and Lance was unable to do anything to help with Bella. His hands were tied, I shouldn't have brought him into this, but I felt like he was the only attorney I could trust."

My chest felt like someone was squeezing my heart.

"This is all so unfair to Bella. I did everything in my power to protect her, then when I got to the church today, I saw how much the sight of me hurt. Then she started hemorrhaging, and it's all because of me. I've brought nothing but pain into that girl's life. I don't deserve that woman, and she's suffering because of me." I sobbed like a baby, literally like a child.

"Bella will be okay, you have my support, son. Just be patient, and keep in mind, you're going to be a dad today."

Those words hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm going to be someone's father today.

He put his hand on my shoulder. "You can make her love you again, just be patient." He assured me.

"What if she doesn't make it? The doctors didn't seem to have much hope." I broke down even more, I've not pictured my life without Bella.
