So, here it is. My first Dramione.

In all honesty I don't normally ship it, but I wanted to give it a go seeing as I've gotten Draco with pretty much every other character in the Harry Potter world. It's written in first person (with the occasional Draco perspective) which helps me differentiate from the actual character of Hermione and making it more of the readers pov.

As in most of my books, the first few years of Hogwarts are more of a quick summary before we get into the meat of the story (in other words, where the 'romance' begins). So no need for the 'why are we going so fast' comments. I just don't feel the need to go into great detail of a story that's already been written. It's a fan fiction and my own stamp doesn't really come into it until they are old enough to begin to develop 'feelings'.

Sometimes I use the book version, sometimes I use the film. And other times I just go with my own wacky variant simply because I get bored of writing everything regimental (you'll see this in third year...). I understand that a lot of readers have never read the books and so get confused if I use a direct quote. This doesn't mean I have gotten it wrong (also, please note - there is no wrong in fiction, not even in fan fiction), simply that I chose not to go by the film.

Please remember that this is a fan fiction and therefore I have the right to write characters how I wish to interpret them (note: yes, this is in reference to the way I write Harry. The amount of hate I've gotten for it amuses me!). But seriously, please do not get offended or take it as a personal insult. Just stop reading if it isn't for you. I'm writing this out of fun, not doing it to make a living or a career. I have a job already. This is my escape and I just like to share it with you.

Please also do not use my stories as a platform to spread hate about anyone (unless they are fictional, of course). Hateful comments about real people will get deleted the second I see them.

In case you're wondering about the title, White Otter is based off Hermione's patronus. I chose 'white' as white otters are rare (and also reflects on Draco's 'white' ferret.).
