Callie P.O.V

We've been outside for awhile now playing pass with a strange kind of ball that Uncle Steve calls a "football" the name doesn't make sense to lme. It's not shaped like a foot, we haven't kicked it once, but it isn't shaped like a ball either. But he seems fairly pleased with the way I throw and catch it so I must be doing it right.

After a little while of playing our game of pass and idly chatting Uncle Bruce and Natasha saunter out to join us. For a brief moment I think they are holding hands but Uncle Steve doesn't seem to notice.

"Hey, can we join you?" Bruce asks with a gentle smile in my direction.

I nod and Cap says, "Sure," as he tosses the ball at Bruce who catches it swiftly and lobs it at me.
We continue in our group of four for a time before Thor joins us and then finally Daddy, who seems slightly sheepish about his earlier outburst but I'm glad he is here just the same.

With the addition of two more people Uncle Steve thinks we should play an actual game and briefly explains the rules to me before placing me on a team with Thor and Daddy, making the second team himself, Uncle Bruce and Natasha.

The game begins in a rush and I find myself lost in the bustle of running and throwing. I move my legs as fast as I can but it isn't quite enough to catch up to the strong passes made by the rest of the adults. Not that I mind much, it's fun to watch and chase after the ball, but it does seem to put us at a distinct disadvantage even with Thor's incredible god-like abilities.
"Damn it Cap!" Daddy yells in frustration as the soldier is a mere 5 feet from achieving yet another touchdown.  Daddy stretches out his arm and like a bolt of lightning a metal hand comes soaring through the air, steals the football from Uncle Steve's grasp and guides it to our end zone. Thor and I both cry out rejoicing with a high five at our victory.

"Tony that's totally cheating!" Uncle Bruce laughs in disbelief.

Daddy shrugs, "it's no different than Cap just being himself."

"Oh my God Stark, it's totally different." Natasha blurts out, rolling her eyes.

"If you can use your suit then maybe Bruce should go green." Uncle Steve calls with a grin.

"Okay, then I get to use my hammer!" Uncle Thor yells, grinning from ear to ear, "and lightning!"

Daddy quickly raises his arms, "okay fine, no suit." He rolls his eyes in defeat.

I shrug, none of this argument means anything to me. What is 'going green'? And who cares if Thor has a hammer...
I had completely forgotten Daddy even had a suit, I hadn't seen it since the day him and Uncle Bruce had saved me.

We restart the round, Uncle Steve throwing the ball hard for Natasha or Bruce to catch, but this time I have other ideas, I want to be atleast a little useful.

I turn to Thor, "throw me," I say.

"What?" He blinks.

"Throw me," I repeat, "I'll intercept it."

His eyes brighten with understanding and his face breaks into a smile that hasn't the slightest hint of sanity. "Yes!" He yells maniacally and lifts me into one arm.

He pulls back and then thrusts me forward, I fly through the sky and I as I catch the ball gloriously I look down to realize how high up I actually am.

"Oh shit." I mutter as my body zooms over the field, not slowing even slightly. I hadn't thought this far. I hear Daddy screaming obscenities at Thor but all of that fades as I continue to vault across the sky. The wind is whipping my face and I look down to see the ground approaching, but instead of the green grass I am ascending down into the woods that boarded the facility, and the trees are approaching faster and faster.

I hold the football tightly to my chest and squeeze my eyes shut, as if that will help me. I feel my body slam into a tree, and then another, and another. My skin quickly ripped apart by spiny branches as I tumble down to the earth, finally landing with a thud, and I feel a cacophany of bones snap as I connect with the ground, rolling and skidding out until I finally come to a stop.

I can't breathe, atleast not very easily. A part of me wants to laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation, but when I look up to discover that none of my surroundings look vaguely familiar and the pain at just taking in a breathe of air I decide that crying is a more suitable reaction.

I sniffle lightly, as I shift my body back against a tree and tightly hug the football. They will come for me, I am sure of it.

Bruce P.O.V

"What the fuck was that!" Tony screams at Thor.

Thor looks dumbfounded, "I'm, I'm sorry," he stutters, "she asked me to throw her, I didn't really think about what would happen after."

I can feel myself getting angry, it boils up within me, I place my hands on my knees and breathe in deeply. Keep it together Bruce.

"She's 5 years old! You threw a 5 year old!" Tony yells, hurtling himself at Thor, but Steve intercedes quickly grabbing Tony before he can connect his fist with Thor's jaw.

"Calm down, we need to find her first, you can pummel him later."

Everything happening before my eyes is a haze, I just try to focus on my breathing but it isn't working.

"Bruce?" Natasha says, her voice full of concern.

I push her away, "no." I groan kneeling on the ground, all I see is green. "No, no, no," I cry pulling at my hair, this can't happen, not here.

"Oh shit." Tony says, "Banner pull it together, we need you."

I look up quickly at Thor anger over comes me, "you hurt her, you hurt the baby." And suddenly it isn't me anymore I feel his conscience take over and I am hurling through the air at Thor and pounding my fists into his head.

"Bruce stop!"

I hear Natasha scream and I fight for control desperately but Hulk pushes me back further, looks at her and roars, "No puny Banner, Hulk!" And turns, barreling into the forest, searching for Callie.
