"If I might have a moment alone with you." The commander's question was more of a statement.

Macon's brows furrowed.

"Now?"

"Yes, Macon.  Now." He laughed and something in his eyes warned her that there would be trouble.

She didn't know how they could be alone.  It was the middle of the party and there were Aturians in every direction as far as she could see.

Her room came to mind, but she then thought better of taking him there as she remembered that the room actually belonged to Chiss.

Perhaps that had been a poor choice not to ask for a private room before now.

She'd only spent the one night and everything had happened so quickly that she'd not thought to ask.

What would the Commander have done if he'd been the one to find them in the compromising situation only this morning?

"I'm not sure where-" Macon started to say, but he grabbed her hand, and pulled her quickly behind him.

They stumbled outside, but he didn't stop.  Not until they'd reached his hover-pod.

He climbed inside and held out his hand to Macon.

Hesitantly, she climbed in, and he pulled her snuggly against his front.

Macon couldn't deny the jolt that flooded her body.

"Where are we going?" She called out above the whirring sound of the engine.

"You'll see," he whispered into her ear sending white heat to the pit of her stomach.

Macon realized after a few minutes exactly where he was taking her.

The bathing pools were just ahead.

It was now dark though, and the only light came from the planet's two moons which seemed to give off a pinkish glow.

When they'd gotten out of the hover, Macon looked around nervously.

Walking around in the dark on an alien planet was probably not the best idea, perhaps.

"Are you sure we are safe out here?" Macon asked as the commander pulled some items from the back of the small craft.

A low chuckle resonated from his mouth. "You, my wild one, are perfectly safe."
He patted the weapon at his side and turned on a lantern that was bright enough to light up the entire area.

"Of course," Macon breathed out a low laugh herself realizing that he was perhaps the most dangerous thing in her proximity.

Both reassuring and troubling at the same time.

"I want to show you something." He said taking her hand once again and pulling her forwards into the cave mouth.

Inside, Macon's mouth now hung open as he turn the lantern off the moment they walked in.

A gasp escaped her lips, and she turned to see him illuminated by the vast array of bioluminescence that covered the cave walls and  encompassed the steam pool before them.

It had not looked like this earlier, and no one had mentioned anything of the wonder she saw now.

"This is amazing." She finally said.

"Ah, she speaks.  I was afraid that you were unimpressed." Xane said. His tone low and teasing.

"You're joking right?" She had to ask.

"I don't know.  You are quite hard to impress, but I think you'll find that I'm up for the challenge." He closed the distance between them looking down into her eyes as they sparkled in light of the pools.  His hand reached and tucked her hair behind her ear sending shivers down her back with the contact.

Macon knew that if there was enough light, the commander would have seen her cheeks burn with an emotion she was not yet ready to name.

"Clearly, you don't know me very well Commander. I am quite easy to please." She teased.

"If that is so, I shall start pleasing you now if you'll only tell what it is that you desire." His words were full of promise.
